Early Dinner Delight at Milano's Italian Kitchen My husband managed to snag us a reservation at Milano's Italian Kitchen in Harwich--early at 4:45pm--but it turned out to be a perfect time to enjoy a relaxed, cozy dinner. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and our server Lynne was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We started with cocktails: a classic Negroni for him and a Pineapple Express for me. Both were delicious and paired beautifully with the fresh bread and rich olive oil that arrived shortly after. A simple but satisfying start. For our appetizer, we shared the calamari fritti. The portion was generous and the calamari was perfectly crisp. The house-made marinara sauce was a standout--tangy, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. Dinner was equally impressive. I went with my favorite, the eggplant Parmigiana, and he had the mussels and shrimp bianco special. Both dishes were beautifully prepared and full of flavor. We enjoyed them with glasses of Vecchia Cantina Chianti, which complemented the meal wonderfully. I could only finish about a third of mine, so I've got a delicious lunch waiting for me! Milano's Italian Kitchen is a gem on Cape Cod--authentic flavors, great service, and a cozy vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable Italian meal, even if you're dining early!

Was in town visiting and trying to find a place with great food and good ambiance and we are so thankful we found Milano's. The outside seating was great and service was fast friendly and checked in on us frequently. The food was amazing. Everything was fresh cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. We had Caesar salad, loved the croutons were homemade, meatballs and the charcuterie board. Loved the variety on the drink menu. Can't wait to go back!

We had a reservation but they had no tables available. Same message to couple before us. But we saw an open high top in bar area, which was fine for us. Lively and buzzing bar with two great bartenders. That could be the best place to sit, if you like high energy and don't mind a loud environment. Our server was newer. Though a smiling young person, not yet on top of her game, forgetting water, bread, second round of drinks, picking up the check. Food was excellent, a tuna special. Tuna cooked perfectly, mostly rare. Great sauce. Veal parm excellent, as it used to be when this was Villa Roma. Nice renovations but people waiting everywhere for tables. Overcrowded with men and women standing in aisles and out the door. Guess that's a good problem for Milano's to have early in their first summer.

We were big fans of Villa Roma, it was our favorite on the Cape, so we were eager to try Milano's and had called for days awaiting their opening! We came on the first opening night to the public. Villa Roma to Milanos About half of the staff is the same, they were given the option to stay. Milano purchased some of the menu items from Villa Roma and tweaked some. It is a smaller menu, and they don't have specials quite yet but will once they have been open longer. Presentation of food is much nicer, food tastes just as good. Bar is larger. We were sad they don't have the Italian Wedding Soup on the menu. They bring you Focaccia to start which was delicious. Food Eggplant Parm - big portion and comes with pasta. This was one of our favorite dishes before and it was great. Lasagne - very good! Calamari - this was the only dish that we didn't like. The octopus was tough. Focaccia + Olives to start - delicious bread and the oil they bring out is good quality. Ambiance Lovely restaurant, they did such a good job. It lost its old school charm, but is beautiful. Reservation You should make one to be safe, there aren't many tables. You can call and they are good about answering. Bathrooms Super small. There's a funny picture of women in the water on floaties eating pasta in the women's bathroom. Parking There is a parking lot, but it is around the outside of the house. You can park in the lot next door, but you may have to wait for a space at prime hours.

We arrived at 4:17 PM to find all bar seats taken and the atmosphere was happy. The hostess was especially friendly and accommodating. She said if we promised to be out in 75 minutes she could get us a table in the restaurant even though we had no reservation. We promised to be gone and sincerely appreciated her accommodation. While waiting the genial bartender noticed us right away and gave us a drinks menu from which we ordered the Super Tuscan glass red wine special which at $12 was really good. After we were seated we waited longer than expected for service. The waitress was friendly but we found her to be mostly inattentive and offered no guidance about the specials, the menu, or the new restaurant. The busboy brought a basket of focaccia with a small ramekin of olives which we enjoyed with the evoo and s & p grinders on the table. We waited far longer than expected for the appetizers. The clams casino ($16) were small with no flavor, but they were cooked well. The bruschetta ($12) was the best item of our meal. It had great flavors, texture, and was nicely presented. We both said we'd get it again. The chicken Marsala ($27) had no flavor, but the chicken was cooked perfectly. The sole entree ($32) was meatier than we expected and though it promised a parsley cream Milano sauce with a lemon almond focaccia gremolata, there was no flavor. The entree promised broccolini and there was one sprig. We were glad of the s & p grinders on the table. The desserts we ordered were lemon olive oil cake with strawberries which had almost no lemon flavor, but the strawberries were good. The waitress returned after we ordered desserts to tell us that the affogato we ordered wasn't being served with gelato but with vanilla ice cream instead. We expressed disappointment but still got it and it was alright. The ice cream was unremarkable and the espresso was not strong. While it was nice to see that there was a $6 discount if we paid cash, we didn't see this on their website site, so we were unprepared with cash and disappointed to have to pay the $6. The renovations look fantastic and the new bar space is great! There's even a nice new patio in front. Aside from the great bruschetta, we left agreeing that we won't be back there soon.

Bartenders Service 5 Ambiance 4 Food 3 We arrived without a reservation to see if we could get a couple seats at the bar and were able to find seats. Two bartenders working which both greeted us and were attentive to all our needs for the evening. I've read the bar is loud on prior reviews but tonight it was fine. What struck us as interesting was the way the new owners have leaned into the Italian gangster vibe which to some may be cute and others really cheesy. On one TV Goodfellows playing and the other TV The Godfather. We ordered drinks which were quick and then Caesar Salad and Italian Wedding soup. Both were fine. Entrees Veal Parmigiana and Bolognese. The pasta was overcooked and although the menu claimed to have the perfect sauce to pasta ratio, unfortunately they didn't execute.

    Cioppino was outstanding.

From Dennis we could see all the way to Monomoy Island, which made the whole evening feel special. Olivia, our server, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. She even brought Keith a complimentary birthday toast, which was such a lovely touch. We started with the Crispy Point Judith Calamari, perfectly fried with bright pickled peppers and a great lemon aioli. So tasty. My husband had the Pan-Seared Cod Loin with Thai khao soi and soba noodles--he absolutely loved it. I ordered the Maine Lobster Ravioli with butternut squash purée and tarragon Newburg sauce, and it was rich, balanced, and delicious. A gorgeous setting, memorable dishes, and genuinely kind service. We'll definitely be back.

My friend and I were there for drinks, but she ended up getting clam chowder before the kitchen closed for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it came out barely lukewarm. I assume they don't make the soup from scratch each bowl, so they really only needed to warm it up to the right temperature. The women's restroom only had 2 stalls and 2 sinks. One stall had no toilet paper and one sink had no soap. I get that the soap dispenser might be broken, but there's no reason to have no toilet paper when there were exactly 4 people standing around talking at the host stand... The table service from Karlo was attentive and polite. I went back with 3 others on Sunday as we had a brunch reservation for 10 AM. This was nothing short of a disaster. We got there on time and put in our orders quickly. The food (mostly consisting of various kinds of eggs, toast, avocados, and yogurt) took nearly an hour to come out. We asked twice and were told that the kitchen was backed up. They should have staggered reservations and seating if they couldn't accommodate a full restaurant near the time of opening. The rest of my day was rushed because I had to wait an hour for scrambled eggs and an english muffin. While the service was friendly, they even charged us for an iced tea refill and took the coffee cups away instead of offering more. If you're making us wait an hour for breakfast, maybe do a solid and offer a free refill of the non-alcoholic beverages. [Or even the alcoholic ones!] All in all, the service is decent and the view is great. The food and the wait leaves much to be desired. If I come back, it'll be drinks-only.

Well, on vacation I wanted to try this place as it was a part of my gluten-free restaurant lineup and I'm so happy we waited to try it. Among the other plates that we got, we did try the "not a cuban" sandwich, the creamy mac & cheese, and some more of their "summer lovin" drinks The pulled pork was amazing as it was perfectly slow cooked, had a nice subtle Smokey flavor, and pulled apart like butter in your mouth. I was happy to see all their gluten free options and they even had house made gluten free batter blend for sale in the front. The place overall is a vibe. They have a lot of cool local events with live music, half off burgers on Thursdays, and even a boozy brunch from 10 AM to two on Saturdays and Sundays. I'd recommend coming to try the BBQ here as it was delicious and reminded of a very popular BBQ place back home. Great place for family eating with outdoor seating and indoor seating.
