I have had food here for a party before and they were very proper when delivering, and on time as usually they are. Dining in can sometimes be a Hassle when it is very busy, it can be very crowded and waiting for a long long time for food. They definitely have fair prices in my opinion for good food. Ordered the turkey burger which I have had before. It showed up not even in patty form,falling off the bun. I showed the server and she looked at me like i was crazy,and then came back and told me they got the wrong turkey in. Why would you even serve something so disgusting? I changed my order to the Mac and cheese,which came with raw panko bread crumbs on top. This place has gone completely down hill, too bad you weren't the Edina Grill...not even close. 3 Squares was the quirky result of trying to find a burger that had a fried egg on it somewhere in the Maple Grove area. Sure enough, we were successful in our search. The atmosphere at 2 Squares is somewhat resembling of a posh Perkins. The lighting, booths, menus, etc. strive to be a classy compilation of eloquent cuisine, but the surrounding tables and decor, in conjunction with the population of seniors and families, screamed Perkins at us. I would say it's an excellent place for this population to dine, but wouldn't put it as a first choice for young or middle ages looking for a quaint place to have date night. I must say though, the food was good. Not great, but good. My partner in crime did in fact get the desired egg-burger combo (changed patty to bison). It is, however, served on sourdough bread; so albeit having tasty flavors - maybe a little heavy on the onions - it truly resembled a sandwich more than a burger. I now better understand Columbus' discovery of America rather than the Indies. I had the house soup, Turkey Wild Rice, served with Gold Fish crackers. Yup, Gold Fish. It was very tasty for me and rather disliked by my Bison Burger counterpart. So, if you're a soup fan or love to let Mr. Limpet and Co. swim around in your Turkey Wild Rice, it might be a good place for you. Staff was great. Absolutely no complaints there. Despite the possible chaos of children and families running around, they epitomized excellent service and are extremely helpful. Oh, and I must mention Happy Hour. If you're a Brewster, 3 Squares has excellent brews (and wine) from around the nation. And for all you techies out there, check out the Blue Plate app and start earning rewards upon your first visit. 3 Squares is slowly growing on me. I'm not a huge fan of the suburbs...or Maple Grove...but I've been here a few times now for breakfast and dinner/hh and had a really good experience. The hh is usually really busy and the service each time I've come has been great. There is a decent outdoor seating area and a huge drink selection. The happy hour pricing is solid. I've had the beet salad with chicken as well as the bison burger on a gluten free bun (separate occasions) and both were fantastic! The breakfast is also really good but I definitely prefer the vibe at hh more. I think I can brace the suburbs again sometime for some 3 Squares fun ha ha ;) read more

I have eaten here many times and usually get their Steak Salad (delicious!). My last experience I tried the Guac Burger (no jalapenos for me). This burger was so fabulous I can see in the future me craving it and coming back in for that!! Julia was our server and very attentive and friendly! Family friendly atmosphere. Although does not bother me and the bar area is a bit more separate, this dining area can get noisy at times-I would not bring my elderly parent because of that, it can be hard to hear. The patio is dog friendly and nice. This was my adult son's first trip to 3 Squares and he enjoyed it as well. read more

The turkey burger is as good as they say it is! I talked to a food delivery person while we were waiting and they said they keep getting orders for thier burgers because they are THAT good! DO NOT RECOMMEND.... Came there for breakfast with family. Service is horrible. Waiters do not check up on the guest, long wait for food. Waiter for over 30m for pancakes. Stopped here for drinks! The blueberry lavender lemonade (with vodka) was nice! One in our party had a burger and fries which they said was good. The rest of us snacked on fries, which were done well, and this restaurant has good ranch! The atmosphere was nice! Family/dinner dining, patio dining, and the bar was divided nicely to accommodate anyone's interest or dining preferences. The menu was eclectic and interesting. Being from Charleston, SC, I found the restaurant's interpretation of chicken and waffles to be horrifying but local yelpers seem to like it! read more

Our service was great, our server was John and he took amazing care of us. From the host greeting us to the service from John we had an amazing morning. The food was amazing, we had the breakfast bowl which was fire, and the pear salad. They have a gluten free menu which my date completely loved, so if you have a girl whose gluten free they will love it here as they won't have to modify their order ;) the happy hour here is literally during perfect times and 2 drinks got me the perfect buzz so it was completely affordable and I have I'll for sure be coming back here. read more

Stopped in for lunch during the week, the service at the bar was very good. The bartender came over right away and offered samples of the different beers, they have a fantastic selection of beer. The food was good, I had the BBQ pork, tasted very good and was plenty for lunch. I am not sure if its normal to ignore new guest at your restaurant or not. The host was friendly and greeted us and sat us right away. Our waitress came and took our drink and food order at the same time because we had ended up waiting so long at our table. The food was meh, would have been better if it was warm. The fries came out stale and cold. We didn't have silverware and when we asked our waitress, she said she would go get them. 15 min later, and no more fries, we had still not gotten our silverware. During this 15 min, two waitress walks by, ignores us. The manager greets the two table in front of us, stopping and sitting down with the table of 4 in front of us and then gets up and walks inside. Our waitress even walks back out into the patio, we made eye contact, she quickly turned around and never returns with silverware. Eventually, we ask one of the employee who was cleaning the table across from us for some silverware. He was prompted and apologize for the delayed. We finished our meal, our waitress finally makes an appearance and cleans our dishes, and we request for our tab. She didn't apologize or acknowledge that she didn't bring out silverware, rather, she was quick to socialize with the table of four in front of us. The only time anything felt prompted in this restaurant was when the waitress turned around and brought us our tab and the manager who came out for the 3rd time to socialize with the table in front of us, took our tab to run my card for payment. In the middle of signing my receipt, the waitress seems rushed to get my card processed, to which I had to inform her, the manager already ran it. Its unfortunate that it felts like you either needed to look like the employees to get serviced well here or that you need to be a regular to get any sort of service. We were excited about the chance to try the food since the menu looked so good on the website but the poor and lack of service, we will not be going back. read more

I love their patio but the service is bad. Every time we come for brunch, a part of our food is forgotten, even after reminders, and they don't check on us. Their Eggs Benedict tastes like mayo so skip that. But their Farmers Breakfast is great. Overall, I give my rating a meh. The service is meh and the food is meh. The only reason I gave a 3 is because we really enjoy their patio and it's dog friendly. read more

Whatever company designed this building made it impossible to get in from the entrance. It's easier for the delivery men to get in than the customers, making it one of the most fucked up designs I've ever encountered. You walk around the building, good luck granny. There actually is a spot that they could make an entrance from the back. What brought me here instead of Longfellow was a free coupon for an appetizer. At 9 bucks for my favorite buffalo calamari, I'm in. What put me off was what was overlooked. They had yesterday's special on the card, halibut with sweet potato hash. I'm informed of this while I' m eating the appetizer. I said it's not even 5:00, did you ever have it? So I got the grown up mac and cheese, which doesn't disappoint, but I don't usually have to drive an extra 20 minutes to get it. The manager actually delivered it, and I just had to ask how they could be out of the special by 5:00. That's when the mystery was solved. They were very kind about our complaints. On the plus side it's very roomy in here, a nice atmosphere, and a nice division between the diners and the bar area. Nobody's on top of each other like the sister restaurants. I got the coupon because they are remodeling the patio. Our server, Dorthea was very nice in spite of the confusion. They serve the same great lemonade. For me this was a good time. read more

Most of their food is pretty good, however the service leaves a bit to be desired and can be spotty. They have seasonal specials on a separate menu. I've have been here multiple times and each time it seems to go downhill a little more. This last time was my absolute breaking point when it comes to 3 squares. Our evening started off wonderfully, we had decided on this restaurant for two reasons: 1) we had a small cranky, picky, self-absorbed child with us and knew it was something they would eat (because not many places serve normal macaroni cheese or a hamburger without a bun cut into eight bit sized pieces), 2) you can usually never go wrong with the blue plate group (all of their other restaurants are fantastic). We entered the restaurant and sat around for around 5 minutes before we were greeted and seated; since it particularly warm out, we asked to be seated on the patio (mistake one). The patio was awful we were seated near a group of drunk men who did nothing but make vulgar comments towards me, my spouse, and the small child (luckily the small child has a large unobstructed mouth in which they tend to say things they shouldn't, so the men were receiving unwelcoming comments back (probably not the best, now that I think about it)). We asked multiple times to be reseated inside, but each time we were told there was now room; when we commented to staff about the vulgarity of the words coming from these men, they simply shrugged it off. By this time, we had already ordered our food (so, just leaving was out of the question), we asked for it to be boxed and let the manager know we would never be back. The manager didn't seem to understand that having customers yell at vulgar things at small children is not okay. At this point we were done, we got our bag of food and left. The food, oh the food, I don't remember it; I do remember we didn't like it much, but that's about it. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful though; whoever designed it deserves an award of some kind (the I designed a well functioning and aesthetically pleasing restaurant award!). We also ran into a server we knew from a different restaurant we go to and haven't seen for a very long time, so not everything was a bummer. Will I be back? Over my dead body!! read more

NO PROBLEM I was here with my 92 year-old mother. It's tough reaching the door if you are disabled but the host can watch you try to assist someone if you exit from your car on the street rather than the parking lot way in the back. Other restaurants will actually assist rather than just watch you struggle around traffic from inside. Our server must not be used to speaking to very old people. Rather then leaning down or even dropping to one knee he stood staight up and spoke in a normal voice so she couldn't hear a word he said. She has trouble reading menus so I'm used to filling in the gaps. But it did annoy me that again no one was willing to extend themselves for this old woman. The food was better than what is usually offered in Maple Grove. I'm not sure my mother noticed. No bread, but that is fine. The steak was flavorful and warm this time.When I paid the bill and left my 20% tip and thanked the server, he replied "no problem." read more
