As I was eating for 1, I didn't want to be a true "big-back", new year, new resolutions. I just got a 10' Neo Margherita Pizza + Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings. So the thing that makes Grumpy's stand-out and different from the competition? Boy oh boy, that crust. It is sourdough, it is crisp, it is light, it is so complimentary to anything that goes on it. I truly understand the hype about their pizzas --- and I truly can't wait to try more from their establishment. On to the wings; I ordered the Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings, simply because it's a flavor I don't see too regularly on the menus. The crust is thin with a sesame sprinkled crust and it was so good that I even ate every single bite of it, which is unusual for me. The ladies asked if I wanted cilantro on top, which was the perfect add of even more flavor. They were so sweet and welcoming. Parking in downtown Englewood can be tough but I took the side street behind the row of stores and found the back entrance to Wahizza. Half of the time he invisible and rest of the time he was just hanging out by the register area stairs, chit chatting with other staff members. We refilled our own water and had to grab other stuff members to get extra plates and utensils. I was super annoyed to pay premium price only to experience a diner like service. I didn't even bother to order the Zeppole from the dessert menu. I paid the check and we walked out as quickly as we could.

Their pizzas come out on planks and look like flatbreads. I had trouble deciding between the Jamaican and Birria but I ended up with the Birria. It was good but I kinda wish I went with Jamaican. Birria had a ton of cheese covering the beef and I wanted more beef on it. But the other pizza the other 3 got were pretty good, especially the Bangkok. I would return for their beef selection and to try the Jamaican pizza.
