Came here for dinner for a work thing. I'll never say no to sushi. It's a little small inside, but there's about 12 tables. There also appears they have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. For an app I had the tuna tartare app. It was very good and fresh. For sushi I had the spicy girl roll. Delish and fresh as well. Great rice to fish ratio. I did feel a bit rushed though. We come here often. The owner is so friendly and knows our order as soon as she sees us. It's great to have such wonderful and personalized service. The food is fresh and well presented. I typically don't write reviews that often, however, this small, family business deserves all the stars. I recommend the sushi/sashimi for 2 and my other personal favorite is the Thai ramen soup. I ordered the Fried Wontons, Spicy Tuna Roll, Volcano Roll and Green Fuji Roll. Everything was delicious. I think the fried wontons would have been better fresh instead of to go. Also ended up trying boba tea which was $6. Price is average for boba. It was good but it had ice in it which usually it does not. The place itself looked nice and clean from inside. Ordered an entree sushi four star that was 4 pieces salmon, tuna , white tuna and hamachi. Like I said above average but not not your socks off. Great corner location on Bedford Ave. Nice little outdoor dining section which was perfect the other night with great weather and you even get to see the sun set over Bedford Ave. Restaurant is clean inside and out. The waitress was a bit frazzled, perhaps by running in and out of the restaurant and serving both diners inside and out. That was ok with us since we were not in a rush and were enjoying the weather. We split a bottle of sake but not sure if the one I ordered was the same bottle served but it was good and kept cool in an ice bucket. We ordered the duck wrapped in scallion pancake over hoisin sauce. The sauce was a bit heavy but the wrap was juicy and flavorful. There was everything from salmon to shrimp to the general Tso chicken which is what I ended up getting. The plate comes with two different options for soup and I went with the hot and sour soup which was amazing. Phenomenal delivery. These two words might be all that you need to read, but such incredible food demands further description. Three other words that appeal to people like me: great vegan options! I typically don't love to get delivery unless it's absolutely necessary (ie, abject laziness). I feel like most places always forget something, or the food arrives lukewarm, or the order is wrong and then you have to go through a bunch of annoyance to get the right thing. Komo is a delightful exception! I ordered through Yelp and what a seamless process. You can put in specific directions ("no bell pepper") and it's all there for the kitchen to follow. Might I suggest that if you need utensils, napkins, condiments, that you specify because otherwise you won't get them (fine with me. I have a pathological hate for plastic take out condiments packets). I ordered two veg Chinese entrees because they were so inexpensive ($10, what?!) that I wasn't sure if they would be entree-size or sides (I've been eating in far too many small plate joints): sesame tofu and tofu with stir fried vegetables. They both came with rice and the portions? Enormous. Flavor verdict: outstanding. The food arrived hot and quickly. Don't be fooled by the initial time estimate. Yelp Delivery does that to manage expectations and once the restaurant gets the order, they adjust the wait time. I just turned my parents onto them as well, since they are close by and now I never fear wondering where I'm going to get my Chinese fix when I'm back home visiting. Miso soup came out in a very big bowl and wasn't overly salty. Sushi pieces were pretty big, fresh and tasty. My friend, a pretty regular customer, ordered a few sushi rolls and the avocado salad and she loved what she ordered as usual. I hope to come back and try other things on the menu. I would give them five stars for their food. Zero stars for their delivery personnel. The man who delivered my food was extremely unprofessional and rude. I had sent in my tip through the app, but he kept harassing me about not tipping him -- even after I explained that he would receive it later. Also he completely ignored my instructions to leave the food at the door bc i wanted to take proper COVID precautions. I have been really excited to try Komo and was unfortunately disappointed. Got there at 6:30 and the place was packed with noisy middle school kids. The restaurant is very small so we quickly sat at a table, the waitress placed menus on the table and quickly asked us what we wanted to drink. We were barely sitting it in seats yet. My friend and I came here and all we ordered was: * sushi pizza appetizer (5/10) we left 4pieces touched * crazy tuna roll (5/10) didn't taste fresh and we had half the roll left untouched * Rocky Mountain tuna roll (1/10) i ate 1 of these and couldn't eat another one.
