We were going to eat down the street but the wait was ridiculous (for food no better, in hindsight) but we are so thankful there was an outside table. Eric was our server- he said he was still learning- but he was great! Drinks (see pics). All drinks were good although nothing really special. The food was the star of this show! We started with a couple apps- Porky Pig poutine. The fries are amazing. Goods amount of pork and cheese. Needed more gravy for sure- and a little acid, but some ketchup pulled it together. We also got the pickle fries (which are actually discs not fries.) The homemade ranch sauce was great, and all pickles were cooked perfectly. We decided to try a couple more things- shrimp sliders (yum!) Perfectly cooked shrimp with coleslaw and tomato with a little kick. And the wings. Definitely not jumbo, and maybe a tad over-cooked and under seasoned. The dirty sauce and Sweet chili aioli helped, but they were the only SLIGHT letdown of the meal. Portion for price was good. We got the highly recommended Strawberry Hill Burger (it's REALLY good- and I would never have picked it without suggestion). (PS- it would be excellent on an English muffin). The strawberry compote balanced out the habanero-ghost pepper cheese, bacon was perfect, and the PB just melted into the whole concoction just right! We got the Kung Pao Brussels as a side. Creamy. A little spicy. Nicely roasted. I loved them (I usually love all Brussels) but my friends didn't. Very rich and creamy sauce that I could see being overpowering- but it was yummy! My fiance and I decided to ditch our usual spots to try a local place we had never been to before. I will be honest that we only were avoiding this place because construction around it was terrible for a long time! I am glad to say this construction has gotten drastically better lately! We were seated in the bar area which I loved because their bar was neat, and I am always interested in seeing the beers on tap as well as the types of liquors a place serves. We started looking at the menu and found that there were so many mouthwatering options! We decided to stick with water, but we treated ourselves to some fried pickles. I ordered a Diner Burger, and my fiance ordered the Nap Town Turkey. I would usually get something more unique, but I was feeling something a bit more basic that night! We both stuck with fries as our side. The fried pickles came out fast which was great because we were HUNGRY! We loved them. They were the perfect crispiness that can be difficult with fried pickles. I am not sure if their ranch is housemade, but it was certainly delicious. We spared no leftovers of those!! The burgers came out quickly after. We thought that the plates they came on were really unique!! My burger had two 4 oz patties which I knew I would not be able to finish, so I took one of them off to give my fiance. However, the burger itself was amazing! It was definitely a classic cheeseburger vibe!! Their "special sauce" was delicious. My fiance's burger was also delicious, but very different than mine! The turkey burger was a much leaner option which was great because it was light. The pineapple and jalapeno mixture on it was a perfect combination with turkey. The fries were also perfectly cooked. i've visited 317 burger in broad ripple years ago with a friend and suggested it to my family after a trip to the children's museum. i only captured 3 of 11 meals. there was also a crème brûlée. everyone loved their food! the quesadillas seemed to be a favorite, i don't eat seafood so i can't say but they were sharing them around the table and saying they'd come back just to get that. i was frustrated not getting a refill on my water and i felt like i was begging for napkins - literally asked 2-3x but our server was nice from start to finish and went over the menu w/ suggestions. i know having a larger group can be a lot. i love the homage to indy and locally sourced food. i'd suggest this place any day and will be back! read more

Been twice for lunch and both times ordered the same thing: Wake Up San Francisco (the 415 Burger). It's bison meat with goat cheese, arugula, homemade funions and tomato jam. Both times our medium-rare burgers were excellent. So high marks for delicious food and consistency. It makes sense given the price ($14-16 burgers), but you get a side and there are lots of choices. Both times I got the Parmesan truffle fries with garlic aioli. Fried to perfection, the latter was worth the $2 upcharge from regular fries, though my dining companion enjoyed her standard fries as well. The service was slow after lunch today which was a bummer. It took forever to get the check, then pay, etc. I don't mind slow service as much before the entree as we are there to sit and enjoy. After a long day of travel we had takeout from 317 Burger. Excellent burgers cooked just how I asked. Medium rare was medium rare. The burgers were big and juicy. Mine came with a GF roll that was actually appealing. For sides we got a house salad with fresh arugula. I had a wedge salad but it was already chopped up. Bacon was crisp. The fried pickles would have been great out of the fryer but we had takeout and by the time we got home they seemed greasy. The one unusual thing was loaded fried mashed potato balls. They were filled with bacon and a center of cheese, fried with a crunchy outside and swimming in gravy. It was definitely a different kind of food but pretty good. I've been to 317 burger multiple times since moving to Indianapolis. My husband and I like to go during lunch hour because it's not too busy and the food gets out so fast. For starters, The server (who we seem to have every time) is awesome. He is so nice, I feel like he remembers us, and he answers questions on everything. The beer options are great and they seem to change with the seasons. I don't love pickles but these fried pickles are tasty. We have probably tried almost every burger on the menu and it's hard to make a decision. The Strawberry Hill burger sounds crazy but it's delicious. My favorite is Wake Up San Francisco but my husband always goes for the Diner Burger. I'll be back again and again, no worries about that read more

Great burgers and friendly staff! They have many alternative choices when it comes to the burger or the bun. We started with the truffle fries which were delicious - came out steaming hot. The burger choices were endless and I don't think you can go wrong with anything you choose. I ended up getting the daily special frisco melt. They had a lot of different side options. The onion rings were top tier. The brussel sprouts were okay - very very oily that you couldn't really taste the flavor. Our server was really friendly but was a bit slow on the service side. I think they were possibly understaffed? Street parking is hard to find depending on the time and day you go. There was a lot across the street for $5 parking. Then we learned they don't do fried pickle "fries" anymore, they just batter & fry pickle "chips." Tomato/to-mah-to I guess... We ordered Chips & Queso from the appetizer menu. I would have PREFERED a salsa of some kind, because dairy jacks up my tummy--but alas, queso was the only option (we asked). The queso was NO BUENO. If it had a flavor I wasn't tasting it. And the tortilla chips? Also no flavor...and more chewy than crispy. I mean would it hurt to just throw it in an air fryer and sprinkle some salt on it??? *eye roll* I got an All American burger, no cheese, add bacon, and the tots were fine. To their credit, there was no cheese...but there was no bacon either! I made sure the waitress took that off our bill! The tots were fine. The waitress was fine. Everyone else seemed content, and I was accused of being "negative," but in my defense, I was PRAYING before we left that I would be able to find ANYTHING to be positive about. Everyone at our table noticed it was sticky, noted the tortilla chips were bland and chewy and the no bacon on my sandwich was indisputable. So I wasn't imagining anything, the rest of my party was just more tolerant I guess. I've been coming here for a couple years now and it is hands down one of my favorite burgers in the city. They always cook it to perfection and have a lot of options on the menu. I wanted to keep it simple this time around so I opted for the all American burger add bacon and garlic aioli. I was super pleased with the burger - maybe could have used a bit more seasoning but very good. The fries were thick and crunchy. I also paired this with a pecan brown ale which was also very good. One additional thing I really like about this place is the ability to customize to what you actually like. Some places are hesitant on letting you sub or add a certain item. They almost encourage it at 317burger. With all of the different sauces on the menu, it would be easy to put together some delicious burgers. First time visitor! Great burger spot in broadripple! My sister in law who doesn't even eat red meat chose this restaurant for her birthday! We started off the table with an order of the fried Mac and cheese which were delicious! Much better than Cheesecake Factory if I do say so. They were very crispy and sat on a bed of cheese sauce. For entree most of us ordered the diner burger because we love a good smash patty and they did not disappoint! The burgers were so juicy and flavorful with the in house 317 sauce which is basically just thousand island. For a side I ordered the homemade chips with a dipping sauce of garlic aioli. They also have a great dipping sauce menu if you are a saucy person like we all are. My sister in law ordered the wings with dirty sauce and those too were delicious and a good amount of wings in the order! 11/9 My friends wanted to try 317 Burger and after hearing great reviews, I knew I had to try it. I ordered the Black & Blue Burger, medium rare. The food was ok, not great, especially considering that it was $13. The burger tasted like a frozen patty and was not well seasoned and the fries tasted like any other gastropub fries. Even though the food was generic, I did enjoy the decor. The movie posters appeal to me, however they add nothing to the allure of the burger joint.
