Food was great ! If you like easy going bar vibe. They did not have a specific cocktail menu but they have a full service bar so they can make just about anything if you ask. I got a Long Island and it was strong ! Ranch was amazing also ! We also got pretzel bites but forgot to take a photo of them super good with the beer cheese.

Great spot to hang out and drink in Broad Ripple! There are deals everyday most notable to me is Yuengling (24oz for $5!). The game room is a nice spot to kill time, $1.50/game to use the pool tables. The vibes are great, everyone is having a time.

This is a cool spot, perfect for watching a game. We came here with a crew on a Saturday and were impressed by the number of TV's as well as pool tables and other games to play. We tried some appetizers and I was particularly impressed by the mozzarella sticks...they were great! I got my drinks at the bar but they did have a server that would bring drinks over and was very attentive. Overall, we had a good time here and there's plenty of seating for those looking to sit and stay a while.

Nice spot in Broad Ripple to meet friends and hang out. They have 3 pool tables and TVs for games with some arcade games towards the back. I've been here before when live music is playing and it's a good time. Servers and bartenders are friendly, however, we were given the wrong credit card one time and the other customer had our card as well. The server apologized but it was very stressful as we had to cancel our card and wait for a new one. She had the cards in her back pocket as opposed to near the register and I wish she would've at least been more attentive to check the name before cashing out. Regardless, this review is to reflect the bar not the experience with her. The food is great bar food and drink specials are great throughout the week. They also have a Touchtunes machine which we enjoy playing around with.

I don't mind Broad Ripple Tavern. However, having lived a few blocks from here for 4 years, I've only ever been here twice. And once was before I lived here. So that says something to me. Both times I've been have been for events. The first was a bar-crawl lipsync battle, which my friend won, so I of course was happy here. The 2nd was this past Friday for a Bonaroo trivia event. The space in the back is perfect for events like this. I love that they have two bars, one in the back which is a bit smaller, and a larger one in the front. The stage also made it easy to hear and see the trivia host. There were several servers walking throughout the back area to help take orders, but we did struggle to get their attention and get taken care of. We were able to order some food and got their nachos and chicken fingers. The nachos were okay, I want to go back and give them another shot. They were loaded and had liquid cheese, which is a win in my book. The chicken fingers were a bit dry though. I don't see us coming back here for dinner, but I won't discount the place as a great venue for events like those mentioned.

Broadripple tavern is a local classic I've come to learn, and I can say I've visited a few times. Located on the corner, down near the alley cat and insomnia cookies you can find broad ripple tavern. It's a pretty large location in my opinion, the front has a good number of tables and a large bar, and the back has pool tables and other bar games plus more places to sit. Large drink selection, your standard beer choices and mixed drinks. They also have food options as well, which I would consider good bar food! They have daily specials you just have to ask, or read up on the menu.. Everyone is also very friendly as well which adds to the experience. as well as attentive drink was never empty. I had a tasty Bloody Mary, which I'm always nervous to order in a bar because you never know what you are going to get. This Bloody Mary was good! Just the right amount of spice, good snacks on top, even more important I didn't feel like I was just drinking mix with a whisper of vodka so my hats off to that bartender!

I guess the majority of my experience here involved our senior socials when I was in college. Which with those experiences came awkward conversation with people I didn't know or even worse, knew and didn't remember. They have a lot of pool tables, which is a plus, helps ease the burden of weirdness. Also they have a great window seat and good bread sticks. The specials, are usually decent, and as far as Broad Ripple bars go, it's one of the easiest to get into. So that's a plus, but over all, I guess I've never really been a big fan.

I ended up doing a mixture of rice/spring mix lettuce for the base, chicken, tomato's, sweet potatoes, broccoli and a hint of blue cheese. I topped it off with a drizzle of their Thai vinaigrette. I went with the Shroomami: It's packed with organic wild rice, shredded kale, raw beets, cucumbers, and basil. The warm portobello mix and roasted sesame tofu provide such a satisfying, meaty texture. What really ties it all together is the miso sesame ginger dressing. The spicy sunflower seeds give it the perfect crunch in every bite. I ordered an extra dressing because the kale is so dense. This is a great spot for something healthy that doesn't leave you feeling weighed down afterwards.

Requesting something other than pizza and burgers is a big deal! I ordered the beef shawarma and the chicken shawarma, just so we could try both. Both looked like a burrito, which is familiar to my kids, so they went with it. We liked the beef, but the chicken shawarma was mind-blowing, and we will definitely be ordering this again. You can get the shawarma by itself or as a meal, which means it comes with fries. I also got the gyro, which comes with sliced beef and lamb, yellow rice, hummus, salad, tzatziki and pita. Because we got our food to go, the pita came separate from everything else, and I had to assemble my gyro myself like a little taco. It was delicious, but so much food! Honestly, the gyro plate can feed two people easily. Because I can't pass up a baba ganoush, I ordered a small one. They have some excellent baba ganoush at Sahara! I think this might even be my baba ganoush go-to now. Ordering online is very easy, and my food was ready to be picked up even before it was supposed to be. The only thing is that Sahara is located on the Broad Ripple strip, so parking can be iffy. I didn't find any parking in front of the restaurant, so I had to circle the block a bit before I found a spot.

This is one of two Indianapolis locations - the other being downtown. Since today is Sunday, the meters in Broad Ripple are free. It's fairly easy to find accessible parking in Broad Ripple, so I took the opportunity to spend some time in the area checking things out. As it's also likely the last decent weather day for a bit, I included my long awaited stop at Kilroy's. I came in off the Broad Ripple Avenue entrance. It's a double-sided glass door entryway. It's level to the ground, not always true in Broad Ripple, and despite the doors being a bit heavy they're workable. As you enter, there's a bar area to the right and a more traditional dining area to the left. I looked around and instantly got a little concerned as it looked like every table was a high-top. While this happens on occasion, it's fairly rare and always disappointing. I finally found a multi-seat table that was lower. I hated taking it, however, it appeared to be the only option. I've often heard that Kilroy's skews toward the younger crowd. Plus, it is a sports bar with quite a few wide-screen televisions throughout. However, on this Sunday afternoon the crowd was pretty mixed and things were pretty calm. My server, Lexi, was at my table quickly and took my drink order. I browsed the menu - essentially a somewhat above average pub menu with a wide variety of appetizers, sandwiches, pizza, burgers, and a few other items. Of course, there's also a strong bar menu. I ordered a breaded chicken sandwich with tots along with my usual unsweetened iced tea. I like that there are multiple side options. The food was delicious and I would easily order it all again. I got my always desired refill. I'd not had the greatest holiday. It was my first one with me being the sole person left in my family - and I honestly was looking for a little human contact of a casual, friendly nature. Lexi was a delight. Warm and friendly, attentive without being overwhelming. Plus, she's one of those servers who draws the happy face on the receipt - I'll admit it. I love that. (Yes, I'm weird. Leave me alone.). Overall, this was a positive experience and I'd definitely return. I'm docking a star primarily due to accessibility concerns (NOTE: Interestingly enough, they have an outside dining area for warmer weather and nearly every table out there is a lower picnic-style table). Beyond the accessibility issues, I enjoyed the experience with good food, fair prices, a terrific server, and an overall positive Sunday afternoon lunch experience.
