I decided to try something different from my usual dining spots and chose this restaurant, hoping for a memorable experience. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. Our waitress offered bread before the meal, which we happily accepted, but the bread was never brought to our table. After placing our order, we then waited approximately 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When my steak was finally served, it was excessively salty, making it difficult to fully enjoy the meal and leaving me disappointed with the quality. Although the waitress was courteous and professional throughout our visit, the extended wait time, the forgotten bread, and the subpar food quality overshadowed the service. For the prices charged, I expected a much better dining experience and greater attention to detail. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, and I left feeling disappointed. Beautiful restaurant. Hidden gem that is tucked away off the sidewalk we found one night on our way to a concert at The Greek Theater. It's a steak house but they had everything, Happy hour M-Th has lobster rolls - a cold and a hot one, the hot one was delicious (Connecticut) and a great value for $18-20. Sea bass was good but the lobster roll was our favorite. The spicy tuna crispy rice roll was delicious, and the crème brûlée was fantastic. Tons of non fish items, definitely something for everyone. I ordered the edamame salad, among other things, and you would think from the name it's a small Asian style side salad; but, this salad is the most beautifully made, both by design and execution, and robust salad I think I've ever had. Not sure if it's technically vegan, but with no cheese or meat, it's not a traditionally satisfying salad, but it absolutely was. With the table bread, it's easily a meal on its own. Anyway, enough on the salad The service is fantastic, and thorough, and the menu is varied and much more than it appears to be. Every item is delicious, sizable, and far more complex than the menu suggests. I don't want this place to get too popular, but I know everyone has a bottom line. I hope people start appreciating Alley Steakhouse. The only thing that's missing is an elevated take on a vegan steak from Besties (Vegan Paradise) down the street . As a vegetarian, I have many meat eating friends, and we all deserve to be happy when dining out. Relatively new place and great for groups. The space is open with an intimate feel and warm vibe. A pretty eclectic menu with some pastas and steaks and a few Asian inspired dishes. I like that you a customize your pastas here with type of noodles and sauce. I ended up doing a seafood pasta with their red sauce and it came out tasty. What a wonderful restaurant. Can't believe it's been there over a year and I did not know about it living in Los Feliz. Beautiful restaurant and great ambience. They have a happy hour menu most evenings lasting most of the evening. Ordered the lobster roll, which was delicious and full of lobster and not a lot of filler. It was a small group of 4 of us and we all placed our orders- all very basic, I ordered the burger medium rare. The food came out- all but my meal and after about 5 mins of the rest of the table waiting for me I told them to go ahead and eat. My food came out way later and was cooked well done. There was no apology or gesture to make it right given that it was a $30 burger, came out late and way overcooked. Based on this alone I won't be back. Also fyi they tip recommendation on the receipt are based on the total, not the subtotal. So double check. read more

Although even if it were later, the tables are well spaced out, so I think the noise level would've been low. So nice to be able to talk in a restaurant these days without shouting or being crowded by the table next door. All the food was delicious! The menu is quite varied, which was perfect for our group. I have been hearing some not so great things about this spot but wanted to try it for myself to see first hand. The interior is actually quite nice. Now, regarding the quality of the filet, I asked for it to be medium-rare and it came out well done. I pointed out the problem to my server and they rushed to re-do it only for the new steak to come back well done again! I get it once but twice, I was ready to go. I will say I did enjoy the drinks they had, everything else isn't worth it. They have a wide selection of wines and an interesting menu filled with a decent amount of creative options that look like something out of the Iron Chef! Decided to go all in on a 16oz ENOURMOUS lobster tail. I'm pretty picky about my seafood and I have to say this was THE BEST lobster tail I've had in years. What stood out most was a $3 surcharge for a dry martini -- something I've never encountered at any bar or restaurant, and frankly makes no sense for a drink that requires less effort. Went back again a few days ago and I must say!!! I was not disappointed !! Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted very kindly and was quickly seated at my table. The vibes were still as great as last time,,, and provided me with a sense of comfort :-). The open skylight really provides a charming ambiance to the room :-))). This time, I ordered the "Bone in Rib Eye" (40oz), the "Fried Calamari", the "Seafood Pasta" (pappardelle, pesto garlic, shrimp), and a lobster mac & cheese! To start, the rib eye was HUGE and juicy. To be honest, it was a little overwhelming because of how much of it there was...But thankfully, I was able to share it with my group! For the price, I really did get a lot which is something I appreciated! I loved the sauces it came with because they weren't too overpowering, and simply enhanced the ribeye. The calamari was also very huge... I loved the crispiness and taste of it. Not only did they properly season it, but I was impressed by the presentation ! It felt as if each piece was intentionally placed in order to give the sauce in the center a boost in aura. For the seafood pasta, I ordered pappardelle pasta with pesto garlic sauce and shrimp! It was soo well seasoned and was one of the best I think i've ever tried in my life. They did not hold back on the seafood that was in it either; Lots of mussels, clams, shrimp, octopus... And lastly, the lobster mac & cheese! I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. The flavor was overflowing with a creamy lobster taste; There was no bitterness that I would normally taste in other lobster mac n cheese dishes. So it was very surprising that this mac n cheese did not taste bitter at all. The macaroni was very small, which also threw me off a bit,, but thinking back on it, it probably helped absorb the flavor of the sauce much better. It would've been nice if the pasta was shelled instead, but this shape also served to taste exquisitely delightful. In this day and age, I feel like restaurants hold back on giving more.. But it seems as if Alley Steakhouse doesn't ! Every single dish was packed and filled to the brim of the plate/ bowl!! The flavor? Perfect and delicious. The service? Amazing and professional. The atmosphere? Pleasant and delightful. I normally find myself feeling disappointed by the second time I visit a restaurant that blew me away the first time; However, Alley Steakhouse exceeded my expectations once again!!! For starters, the food is the best around. We couldn't resist but take picture of every meal we had and appreciate the nicely decorated plates. Therapy service was outstanding with our waiter checking to make sure we are ok. Then the manager approached us and greeted us to make sure we are Ok. The manager then invited us to try dessert on the house. We couldn't say no and we had no regret to indulge in sweet heavenly tiramisu. The ambience was very mellow and candle light ambience.
