I recently enjoyed Sunday brunch at 32nd St Cafe. The portion sizes and prices are very good. I went early so it was just two of us at first and then we sat so long talking and chewing slowly that more people can in. The bar area opened and the music was turned on. Some nice oldies played at a reasonable sound level that allowed conversation to continue. What I didn't care for was the floors and tables needing a good clean. At 11:37AM I would expect I paper/tissues being on the floor and the tables being cleaned up as soon as the previous patron(s) have finished their meals. There is parking in the neighborhood on 32nd street, Ridge Avenue, a side street and even in the park if you are up for a longer leisurely walk. Otherwise I enjoyed my visit and would return.

Love the 90s music walking in. It has a classic Cafe look with their soul food twist. The menu is very simple, it took me just a few seconds to know that I wanted the fish and grits from the reviews on yelp and Google. This is a sit where you want establishment so we sat on the back end so we can see everything. They already had a pot of grits going and was whisking some eggs! I did visit the bathroom and tripped on the rug on the way in and out and noticed both rugs were rugged. The bathroom was pretty clean and there was a lady actively cleaning the bar area. We sat for 10 minutes and had to ask for drinks since we weren't offered any. Other than the cook constantly on her phone arguing with someone the food was amazing. The $20 portion was enough for 2. We got 3 pieces of fish with grits and both were seasoned perfectly. I would only get take out if I come back.

Good vibes here, I came early on a Saturday and got some good hot breakfast. I like the music they play here. It's a good brunch spot I imagine. Not big on the inside but big enough if you arrive early. The seafood salad slaps and I highly recommend trying it!

This was the worst service possible. Employees were socializing and smoking hookah. I waited over 40 minutes and never got a fish sandwich people.

I got a chai latte with oat milk and a Shakshuka (which, they told me is not a traditional Shakshuka but rather reimagined as a pasty). It was delicious! The chai latte had great depth and spice flavors, and the Shakshuka pastry was a great mix of flaky puff pastry and strong tomato and egg flavors. Just knocking off one star because for a $5.75 latte, they only filled the glass halfway up. I also got one of their famous pistachio sticky bun to take to go!

This was my first time actually trying it and it definitely lived up to the hype of the Yelp reviews. My wrap had chicken, hummus, lettuce, and feta, and it was so delicious. My chicken was very good, very tender and seasoned well. It also had a great creamy hummus to tie all the other ingredients together. The feta added just enough saltiness to balance out the rest of the flavors. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and my wrap was extremely soft, yet still maintained its form completely as I ate. I also ordered a Nutella hot chocolate. It was delicious! It was my fist time having a Nutella hot Chocolate. I usually just get a normal hot chocolate. The pita chips served as an additional side item with this sandwich and proved to be quite enjoyable. The pita chips had a good crunch and were able to pair with the wrap very well. I ended up eating all of the pita chips! It was a great lunch and I enjoyed my wrap! I would likely order from Café Square One again in the future, especially, if that wrap is still on their menu!

I'd heard the fish and chips were something special here, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. A generous piece of fish, fried beautifully -- not greasy at all -- that flaked perfectly with every bite. My niece doesn't eat fish, and even she took a bite and approved. High praise. But honestly? The star of the evening were the Madras Curry deviled eggs. Outstanding. Truly. And the dip with the perfectly toasted bread was equally impressive -- everything was prepared with real care. The drinks were lovely, and the atmosphere is in a category all its own. There is so much to look at. You could spend hours in there and still not catch everything on the walls. It's the kind of place that earns a second visit just to take it all in. Highly recommend -- whether it's a birthday, a date, or any excuse to get to Philly.

A quick note for first-time visitors: the restaurant has multiple entrances, and I initially arrived at the back door. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in directing me to the correct entrance. The space has a unique atmosphere. The indoor dining area felt quite dark, but the restaurant appears to have multiple levels, including an upstairs dining area and a bar, which adds to its charm. I started with a cocktail and really enjoyed it. It was fruity, well-balanced, and had just the right amount of alcohol without being overpowering. Based on recommendations, I ordered the burger. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me. It could have been cooked better, and overall I wasn't particularly impressed with it. What stood out most was the service. My server was attentive, friendly, and checked in regularly without being intrusive. Overall, The Dandelion offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and great cocktails. While the burger wasn't a standout for me, I'd be willing to return and try other menu items.
