    Branzino
    Linette S.

All I can say is WOW! From the soft bread you get at the beginning of the meal to the branzino and gnocchi down to the tiramisu, everything was delicious. The branzino had a nice crispy crust without ruining the integrity of the branzino and the sauce that came with it was delicious. We told the waiter we were sharing the branzino and they were kind enough to split it up for us into two separate plates. The gnocchi was also really good and the portion size was decent with enough to bring home leftovers. The tiramisu is probably the best I've had in Philadelphia. I also tried their crème brûlée (not pictured) and it was good as well. We were seated outside, which I originally didn't want to do, but we weren't given the option. It all ended up working just fine and we enjoyed our outdoor seating under an umbrella.

A great place in the middle of the neighborhood. Staff were nice and moved efficiently, great outdoor seating view, it wasn't too hot. Everything is fresh! We decided to split the branzino as an appetizer and the aroma was great, fresh smelling, flavors were coming through. The branzino had an amazing crusted finish and without being dry, and the side of vegetables and potatoes were cooked great as well. We also had bread with this little red sauce that was great, the bread didn't taste buttered but it was soft with a good flavor. For the main course I had the tagliatelle bolognese. It was a rich smooth, and creamy flavor because of how fresh the ingredients were. It wasn't a heavy meal but I didn't eat it all to leave room for dessert. This may have been my personal favorite part of the meal. For dessert I got both the crème brûlée and the lemon sorbetti. The lemon sorbetti was my absolute favorite thing, it was so good and refreshing as a palette reset after eating everything. The crème brûlée was also good and the texture was nice, you really start digging in before you know it's gone.

Delicious! Be sure to make a reservation because the restaurant is not in a big space and it seems like it books up quickly. Can't really add more beyond what a lot of the other reviews have said: fresh high quality ingredients which you can really taste in the bruschetta and salad, and overall just really yummy food! Grilled calamari was perfect. Spaghetti scoglio had sooo much seafood it was amazing. Bolognese sauce was delicious, as was the tiramisu. Portion sizes are generous and we left feeling super full.

True to the rating the food and service was great. Managed to get at a table for 4 on Friday night at 7. Dinner kicked off w 4 pieces of the complimentary bruschetta. The tomatoes were super fresh and we'll seasoned. Given how good that tasted we had good feelings about the rest of the meal. Then it was followed by a bread basket with a small plate of marinara dipping sauce. That sauce went so well with the bread. While a bit tart we just couldn't stop eating it. It also had a little kick which made us kept coming back for more. For our maint course. We ordered the spaghetti scoglio, eggplant rollatini and the tagliatelle bolognese. The seafood pasta was incredible, the spaghetti was al dente and the seafood was super fresh. My daughter devoured it all. The home made tagliatelle was flavorful. Despite it being a bolognese sauce it wasn't super heavy. I do have to agree w another reviewer the meat in the sauce was a bit dry. The eggplant rollstini was also very delectable. Melted cheese was a fan favorite. Overall great experience. One ding for the 5th star was because the tagliatelle and the rollatini came out a bit Luke warm. If it was hotter would've given it 5 stars. Also please note this is literally in the middle of a residential area so make sure u allocate a little extra time to look for parking.

Small, cozy and authentic! Right on the corner in a residential neighborhood and run by an older Italian man who answers all the phone calls and brings your food. He's a sweetheart! I've loved all the pastas and the tiramisu! The veal was a little underwhelming

The BYO gem in East Falls! Fiorino brings Italy to Philly. It's a small establishment and old school! You have to call to make a reservation (and trust me, you HAVE to make a reservation a couple days out). The food is true to its inspiration and service is great. Make sure you bring a bottle (or 2) with you!

Really enjoyed my first time at Fiorino. Had the salmon, broccoli rabe and pasta. And the tiramisu was amazzzingly delicious. So creamy and cinnamony. I cannot wait to return. Good service. Busy for a Sunday night. Making a reservation was wise.

It's not part of the South- Philly -Italian - food-scene so it might not show up on your radar, but you don't want to skip this one. Dining here is a treat in so many ways. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is delightful. It's a cozy row home and feels like you are walking into an Italian dinner party! The owner checks up on tables and everything is brought to the table fresh and delicious. There is a standing ice bucket for white wine and delicious complimentary bruschetta for the start of the meal. All of our pastas were fresh and the broccoli rabe was seasoned well and cooked just right. We enjoyed great food, sweet ambiance and perfect dessert. Bring a bottle (or two) and try this wonderful spot. You won't be sorry.

    Spaghetti Scoglio

Overall: great, DELICIOUS, Italian food for this price! The star of the dishes was definitely the spaghetti scoglio. Will definitely come back for this! 4/5 Stars becuase it is very good, but not mind blowing, but where could u find this quality with this price!! Food ordered (also in pics) :D Spaghetti scoglio: dish was PACKED with seafood, just look at the pics!!! The seafood flavors diffused into the spaghetti. even though the spaghetti tasted like box spaghetti, the seafood definitely makes up for it. Tons of shrimp, clams and mussels. :) tagliatelle bolognese: house made pasta, but the meat was average :) lamb chop: a bit average for the price, but still delicious. Got lucky and caught it as a special of the week! Tiramisu: DEFINATELY GET! One of the best tiramisu in the city :) fresh ingredients. Service: Everyone that works here is a bit older and Italian, so don't expect great and friendly service, just expect decent service Tip: reservations here go so fast, would recommend at least 1.5 week reservation in advance

We really enjoyed our dinner at Fiorino! The staff were so inviting and welcome. We felt like we were dining at someone's house. We split the tagliatelle bolognese for an appetizer. We had the chicken Marsala and Branzino with crab special. We also split the cannolis and tiramisu. The pastas and desserts were our favorite parts of the meal. This restaurant is BYOB with minimal searing so making reservations is necessary. The restaurant was a bit loud but it was so very cozy and relaxing.

To start, we shared a fresh goat cheese salad along with the following entrees , including short rib over polenta, mushroom pasta, grape leaves, and an octopus salad. For dessert, we had the salted caramel boudino, which was a perfect way to end the meal--rich, smooth, and not overly sweet. The short rib over polenta was probably my favorite thing on the table - it fell apart easily and the polenta underneath wasn't as heavy as I expected it to be. We got the salted caramel budino for dessert too, and I was glad it wasn't one of those desserts that's so sweet you can only handle two bites. Would go back honestly. Probably order something different next time just to try more of the menu, but I'm getting that ricotta again no matter what.

Decorated vintage chic Italian restaurant with booth and table seating. We started off with three cocktails that were seasonal options all were good and boozy as expected. The waiter was great at recommending top picks and favorites. We started dinner with the 8oz mozzarella and meatball appetizer. The meatballs were served 4 in sauce small to average size meatballs were good, soft and flavorful. The mozzarella was a show pulling it tableside from curds to a full 8oz ball finished with salt , pepper, and flavored olive oil. Dinner we ordered three Italian specialties. Chicken Milanese that was served with shaved Italian cheese and arugula. One vela parm which had the perfect ratio of sauce to cheese. The third meal was a basic bolognese that was served with mafaldine pasta. Entrees were all good. We also added the truffle pasta option for the table which was also prepared tableside with the cheese wheel and shavings of fresh black truffles was a perfect finish. We also had a sharing side of gnocchi with sauce. All in all we had a solid meal. It wasn't the best Italian I even had but it's good. The total was 336 for three with 2 rounds of drinks . This is pretty good for center city fine dining.

Everything was as perfect as it could be why is that because this restaurants been doing it for over 126 years they know a thing or two their customers and had to prepare plate delicious meals. Surprise surprise we actually found parking OK maybe that's because we got there earlier than our reservation in hopes to make another stop that didn't work out so we came early and they greeted us with open arms took us to a beautiful table in front of vintage fireplace hence we were sitting in the perfect spot. Our server, Justin came over to greet us. We got into some conversation before we even touched upon the food. He was exceptional at his run through the menu, his explanations on preparations handling questions. This was definitely not his first, not his second and not his third rodeo he's definitely a professional at what he does. Upon review of the menu we started off with steamed clams and a spicy marinara and actually asked for fra Diavlo hence they gave it an additional hit of spice. It had a nice kick. It was very tasty. My wife was going back-and-forth between their signature lasagna and a little weak weenie with crab Bianco and in the end she went with the baked lasagna oh my goodness the size of that piece on the plate we took half home. She certainly enjoyed her. For me, I went with the veal Catherine, the medallions veal with shrimp, lump crab meat, and fresh tomato and a Bianco sauce the plating presentation I can't describe you'll just have to see my photograph. I've never seen it like this before and it was extremely tasty. Very tender I would certainly get that dish again. And since I am not a pasta eater, I ordered a side vegetable of broccoli Rob. And we ordered a bottle of the Italian Montepuliciano wine, what was the perfect compliment to our dinner? And this was my birthday. My wife was surprising me she had already pre-ordered their homemade tiramisu with ladyfingers, which would wind up taking with us cause we were kind of full and had later that night at one of our favorite coffee houses in Philly and boy that dessert was perfect and I'm glad we waited. Again, everybody was smiles, friendly, and helpful. The place of spotless and you really feel like you're in someone's home.
