I said extra creamy and even paid for it just to this dry ass chicken that's choking the shit out of me. I'm tired of leaving reviews cause y'all clearly don't care about your customers. I'm done spending my money here!

Best Shawarma in Houston! They are served super Crispy and with a good amount of sauce. If you don't like spicy you can ask them to hold it but I recommend you to try their mild, it's just delicious. Their potato fries are AMAZING! I could eat another 5 orders if I stayed there longer. Please bottle your sauce!!!!!

I'm honestly upset I'm just now finding out about this place. Oh my gosh. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon, around 12. It's honestly in a very familiar place but I never really noticed it. The staff and the owner were pretty friendly. I ordered the chicken, beef and sausage shawarma (spicy) with sweet potato fries. The food took about 15 minutes but it's prepared fresh for you. I tasted the sweet potato fries in the car.. AND IT WAS AT THAT MOMENT I KNEWWWWW GOD JUST DID SOMETHING MIRACULOUS IN MY LIFE..... I just knew the shawarma wouldn't disappoint either and surely enough, it did NOT. I ate it before reaching my next destination... risked my life driving tbh but it was worth it. This hole in the wall place deserves 10 stars! I will be back for sure!

This was a drive by find. Pretty interesting place and menu. Food is incredibly cheap if you keep it simple. I had a chicken shawarma zobo drink (hibiscus/ginger) and sweet potato fries. The shawarma for $5 is going to be hard to beat. More than enough and if ordered spicy most people will find it hot. The side was small more like a sample but the SP fries were perfect. The drink was herbal somewhere b/w sweet and bitter. Really nice owner and steady stream of customers in and out. for the price I gotta say not bad at all. I'll be back to try more.

We have only had the Shawarmas but they are AWESOME!!! We discovered this place last week and it's now in our weekly rotation.

The best shawarma I've had in the states and it's safe to say it's even better than the ones I've had in Nigeria!!! So good and tasty! I got the spicy chicken and beef shawarma and the spice wasn't too overbearing, it was just right! The yam and stew was also made very well. This place should be expecting me often because I loved my food and experience here!

Not an authentic Mediterranean shawarma, it is sweet. And a little pricey not much chicken more of cabbage inside.

They always have a sample of the Golden Bowl for anyone to taste & it's absolutely my go to dish. All the ingredients work well together in this Golden Bowl. I will admit the spice made my nose run but yet I would only describe it as a "subtle" spicy dish. One day I'll try another dish but for now. That golden bowl speaks to me everytime. Dish was enough for two meals; super flavorful. I'd definitely like to try them again not on a go.

I ordered the egusi soup & okra soup with yam fufu and corn fufu. Very very flavorful! The egusi soup with yam fufu was my favorite. However, when I left the soups sitting out for my partner to try after coming home from work, they both somehow became a bit salty? And he wasn't able to enjoy it like how I did when it was fresh. We went a bit late so I think people were getting off work and it was clear that this place feels like home for everyone because they were coming just to hang out and eat. From the minute I walked in, I knew that the odds would most likely be in my favor. First of all there are two huge portraits of the female proprietess and her husband flanking the cash register, in full Asante regalia. Which totally made me feel like I was in someone's living room looking at their mantle, versus at a restaurant. But it added a touch of culture and a huge sense of pride. There was a older man waiting for food, staring at the big screen tv, DANCING to the music. This is a great sign! Do you know how good this food is about to be, because I do, if it makes Papa DANCE!!! Oh yeah, I was getting excited. There was a fridge stocked FULL TO THE BRIM and spilling over onto the floor of every soda, both American and African, plus several types of beer. To me this read as "yup, you gone be thirsty after this FIYAHHHHHH"! And they weren't wrong! My food came out piping hot, relatively quickly, and paired with warm water for hand washing! Not every African restaurant is this traditional, so I again, knew it was about to go down!!!!! I would get into a lengthy description of the groundnut soup but that would waste more of your time reading, instead of driving, STRAIGHT TO Afrikiko!!! I will say that the side of spinach that I requested was so smooth and tomatoey and robust with flavor, that I was thoroughly surprised. I was expecting just a side of sautéed spinach, maybe a bit of onion or garlic, but that damn spinach was soooooo good I almost licked the bowl. If I could give 10 stars I would! This place will make me drive from Dallas yall! And you should too! Worth every single penny I spent! Thanks Afrikiko!
