Chez Michelle is a casual restaurant/lounge type deal. Plenty seating in a Friday night. Service was fairly good, our waitress checked on us and was honest about what she didn't know (specifically, which spirits they served). My drum was delicious! Well-seasoned and large. The jollof was pretty good. Plantain wasn't my favorite. Is def recommend this spot for the fish. Pricing is questionable.

My first time being here and I absolutely love it. Being part Cameroonian, I really do not know much about the culture but the foooooood bangs! We Had Ndole with Oxtail with Plantain and Jollof Rice. It was actually an acquired taste but it in a good. The build up of the taste was amazing with the plantain so I'm definitely going back for seconds. My friend had the tilapia and he ate that right up so I'm guessing it was amazing. My guy ate it to the bone.

Very pleasant surprise off of Hwy 6. The place is big and may seem impersonal. But not at all. The staff is very nice. Young man waiting on us and mending the front (cash) area was very patient and professional. Although he was multi tasking, he never made us feel like we were annoying him with our various requests. Patrons seem to feel very at home when they get there. The food was excellent. The pepper they serve with the fish is a must try, even if one doesn't particularly like spicy food. It kicks the fish flavor up a couple notches. I will def recommended and come back. Good job to all the staff and I hope you stay just as great as well as your food quality.

I'm all types of confused about this place. I came here with a friend around 930 last Saturday -- it was empty. We are dealing with the 'Rona, but my goodness there were literally two other tables occupied and the establishment is not small. This place has a good rating on Google and my friend had eaten there before, so I wasn't concerned. As to be expected at any African or Caribbean restaurant... they were rude upon entry. But this was extra rude. They literally mean mugged us and did not speak. The server just brought the menus and stood there and stared at us. We were not familiar with the items because we are not Cameroonian (though honestly everything isn't Cameroonian on the menu... Suya is definitely Nigerian) -- so we had questions. Our server was TERRIBLE with all of them. We asked what Capri was, he said "alcohol". NO ISH SHERLOCK-- IT'S ON THE ALCOHOL MENU?! He did say it was a Cameroonian drink though. (I didn't have good service and couldn't check). Why is Capri a liqueur (so should not have been given as a shot), ITALIAN not Cameroonian and DISGUSTING! After that, we got the Beef Suya as an appetizer, because safe. That was good. But oh dear, our entrees. My friend got the chicken and fries -- both were pretty bland in my opinion. He'd previously come for the whole Tilapia which he did say was very good. But my food?? I ordered the Ndole with Beef Oxtail and fried plantain. First, it was supposed to come with rice and that was never given to me. They gave me boiled plantain. Then, most importantly.... they gave me FISH not oxtail. I thought I was crazy at first, but we eventually discovered that our rude server wasn't actually that rude... he couldn't speak or understand English well. At ALL. He went and got the owner and she explained that they had him on the floor as a way to learn. WHAT? She then asked if I'd had the dish before which was neither here nor there because the point is I asked for oxtail and received fish! The fish version was not good. I'll never know if their oxtail or anything else is good, because I didn't want to order anything else after that ordeal and have no plans to ever return.

They always have a sample of the Golden Bowl for anyone to taste & it's absolutely my go to dish. All the ingredients work well together in this Golden Bowl. The chicken, jollof rice, veggies, the sweet of the plantain with the spice in the curry makes for a delightfully seasoned bowl. I will admit the spice made my nose run but yet I would only describe it as a "subtle" spicy dish. One day I'll try another dish but for now. That golden bowl speaks to me everytime. The fufu with egusi soup was super delicious with a spicy kick that I loved (7/10) . The plate was the star of the meal. Everything from the stewed hen, to the rice, to the greens were all so well seasoned and I truly enjoyed every bite (8.5/10). The meat pie was also delicious with a savory filling and the pastry was thick and buttery but surprisingly not overbearing considering the pastry to filling ratio (8/10). Overall the food was awesome and seemed quite authentic. Would definitely come back to support this small local business!

There was a older man waiting for food, staring at the big screen tv, DANCING to the music. This is a great sign! Do you know how good this food is about to be, because I do, if it makes Papa DANCE!!! Oh yeah, I was getting excited. There was a fridge stocked FULL TO THE BRIM and spilling over onto the floor of every soda, both American and African, plus several types of beer. To me this read as "yup, you gone be thirsty after this FIYAHHHHHH"! And they weren't wrong! My food came out piping hot, relatively quickly, and paired with warm water for hand washing! Not every African restaurant is this traditional, so I again, knew it was about to go down!!!!! I would get into a lengthy description of the groundnut soup but that would waste more of your time reading, instead of driving, STRAIGHT TO Afrikiko!!! I will say that the side of spinach that I requested was so smooth and tomatoey and robust with flavor, that I was thoroughly surprised. I was expecting just a side of sautéed spinach, maybe a bit of onion or garlic, but that damn spinach was soooooo good I almost licked the bowl. If I could give 10 stars I would!
