    Beef shawarma platter
    Megan L.

I enjoyed a yummy beef shawarma platter here on a quiet Friday evening. The entrance to the restaurant itself is a bit out of the way, tucked behind an unassuming strip mall, but had some indoor and ample outdoor seating. The beef shawarma platter came with a sizeable amount of meat, pita, fries, tahini, hummus, onions, and pickles. What I enjoyed about this meal was the meat - while perhaps slightly dry, that was easily remedied with the addition of the tahini/hummus. I also felt that the portion sizes were quite generous, to the point that even I as a voracious eater felt quite full afterwards. I was a little bummed that they did not offer any rice as a default option, and the pita was a bit flat as opposed to fluffy, but overall can't complain too much for the price of ~$16. The service was also prompt, though to be fair I was the only one in the restaurant for the majority of the Friday evening. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick Mediterranean fix in the area, particularly to any meat lovers out there.

Really good!! Friendly service, tasty food, fantastic hours for the night owls like myself and lots of variety at a decent price. The chicken shawarma was yummy in my tummy, wish it was just a bitttt more seasoned or that the sauce was stronger? Baklava was definitely perfect. Not too sweet and soaked in honey while keeping its flaky texture!!!

Great place for late night shawarma in the Energy Corridor area. Great customer service and speedy service. The foods is hot and well balanced. I tried the Hummas Shawarma and it was very tasty, next time I will ask to add pomegranate seeds. The halloumi is a must, perfectly fried.

Wow, wowwwww!! I stumbled upon this place a few months ago and luckily I am in love with mediterranean food. This place is a staple for me and I highly recommend checking it out. My typical order would be a Chicken Shawarma platter or Chicken Shawarma wrap. The platter comes with their amazing chicken shawarma with hummus and fresh veggies. Also a basket of fries & pita bread. Most importantly their signature tahini sauce, OooooHhhh man! Best tahini sauce i've had so far. The wrap is served in two pieces so it's quite easy to eat. Their Shawarma wrap is not messy at all, typically when I eat a wrap it's messy. This one held up pretty nicely. This is comfort food to me and it can turn a frown upside down. For dessert, my go to is their Baklava! Ugh so good. it's a delicious, flaky dessert made with thin sheets of dough soaked in honey and layered with nuts. Nothing but perfection! The service here is amazing, i've never had any problems. The owner is really nice, greets anyone that comes through his doors. The interior of the place could be better but it's the food that speaks volumes.

Passing by this cute place and decided to order something ! Loveed the chai and shawarma and the cheesecake slice they had ! If I lived by close wooukd definitely come back! Friendly staff

I love this place, one of my favorite places in Houston to get Mediterranean food. I love the service, very friendly and kind. It's a nice atmosphere, very cozy, and feels warm. I always get the same thing, which I recommend if you're a first timer with Mediterranean food.

So we'd driven past this restaurant and we were both very happy we finally pulled in and tried it. The staff was very friendly, the food was tasty, and we both loved the atmosphere. Next time we'll have to try the hookah. The patio is beautiful and somehow the was they had the fans wasn't super loud, and kept away flies. We're both looking forward to returning. Oh, they also sell Turkish coffee with the pot so not only did we have an amazing dinner, I was able to explore an entirely amazing coffee experience the next morning. You should give this spot a try.

They also have outside seating . The woman that waited us was super nice 10/10 recommended good food and good service what more could you ask for

Only one other table was occupied, and someone who seemed to be the owner warmly greeted my group of 5 with some menus and an offer for Turkish coffee and tea. The lunch special is quite generous, and includes a wide array of starters and entrees. With 5 people, we tried 5 different appetizers and 5 different entrees and got a good sampling of their menu. The chicken shish kebab, falafel, lamb kebab, and menemen were all well seasoned and paired nicely with the many dishes of rice, salad, and flatbread they all came with. The lentil soup was also delicious. I was with my parents, who really only have a desire to eat East and Southeast Asian food, but they still enjoyed our meal here, which is saying a lot.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.
