The barber did not hand the mirror to client quickly held it up so a missing, shorter chunk of hair went unnoticed until driving off in the car Immediately returned and asked to be fixed, said they would charge for another cut since he left and said it was fine. Again, they didn't even allow for him to hold the mirror and get a thorough look. F this place! Bad business practices just lost you a returning simple buzz cut client. My review isn't even about the haircut. That was actually pretty decent. To start off, the lady called me to the chair, and asked me to sit. Then she proceeded to text for the next 3 minutes in silence. When she was done, then she started preparing her stuff/gloves/etc. I waited a while before she even asked me about the haircut. Then we started. Tell me why, during the entire time I was in the chair, she was actively coughing and sniffling?! I get that this is OC, but it was extremely uncomfortable to have someone actively sick that close to my face. Like even if Covid wasn't a thing, I wouldn't want to come back to someone who thinks it's okay to hear the sound of snot 11 inches away from you for 30m. read more

I asked for a high fade skin on the sides and Kim, my barber, did an excellent job. He and the rest of the staff are very cautious with their CoVid protocol and keep the place looking spotless. Pretty good cuts. I take my 7 year old and they have done a good job. It's very affordable also. The bad is that the barbers start talking and laughing amongst themselves in their language. Very obvious talking about and making fun of their patrons. If you have thin skin it might bother you more than me. Idgaf what the *#ish they talk. The staff at 4 Aces are very welcoming and experienced. They're not your typical discount barbershop. I wasn't sure if I was going to get the haircut I wanted since this was my first visit, but it turned out to be a good experience. My go to place for skin fades. Always get a nice skin fade when i go and aways come out great. For me, it's a hit or miss with the top of the head. Some days they cut it even and other times not. Not too noticable but if you really pay attention you can see where they cut too much or not enough. I have gotten a haircut from all of the 4 or 5 barbers a couple times. Only go to 2 of them and wait if they're not available right away. Definitely skip the lady if you can. Hit or miss with her and sometimes will cut your hair how she wants. We are very impressed. We took the boys there Saturday morning, for a last minute appointment. I didn't get the names of the hairstylists that cut their hair -- but they are extremely talented. We are from Las Vegas and just came for the weekend to visit family. I was just casually looking on Yelp to find barbershops or salons that would have last minute availabilities. I decided to check this place out upon my brothers recommendation. I came here last Wednesday in the afternoon and only waited 5 minutes before being seated. Kathy, is a very sweet lady who greeted me and made me feel comfortable by asking me how I wanted my hair cut before she began. She explained what she was doing the whole way and took her time and I appreciated the fact that she didn't rush like other barbers. She gave me a really clean fresh cut and did an excellent job on the fade. I called before I went in and the gentleman on the phone said haircuts are $11, but I paid $13 for a fade. The hair was a little shorter that expected, but the style worked out in the end and my hair will grow back. They offer complimentary water and soda which is a plus in my books! Ah this is why I love LA... where hair cut places who do Asian men are abundant and best of all cheap. My barber took his time doing my fade and was very thorough making sure everything looked good. Overall the haircut took about 15 minutes and yet it was done well. There was no wait and I got in a seat right away. I came in after I saw a few good reviews and was very impressed and amazed by the quality of haircut and customer service. I would pay more than the $12 haircut at another place. TLDR; A great barbershop with great customer service, cleanliness, and great prices although they are a little on the slower side So i'm looking for a new barber because i'm returning to the area after a year and my old barber wasn't available. Did a quick yelp search and 4 Aces popped up with good reviews and a good price so i thought i'd give it a shot. As i walked in, i was greeted by a gentleman at the counter and he warmly directed me towards the seating area where he told me there were complimentary drinks (which is a huge plus). I also noticed a lot of people ahead of me when i got there so i was expecting to wait for a bit. Apparently there were some people who were off the particular day i was there (sunday) and so there were 2 barbers actually cutting hair. i did notice that it took longer than an average place for them to cut hair-- probably around 30 minutes (give or take a few minutes) to do a fade and a little trim for a guy. Anyways, 30 minutes isn't a CRAZY long amount of time for a haircut, but there were a lot of people in there so i wished that they had more of an urgency to get the cuts done so that people didn't have to wait as long. i think i ended up waiting like 45 minutes or something? it felt pretty long for a walk-in, so i would definitely try to make an appointment especially if it's on the weekend Lo and behold it was finally my turn, and since it was my first time there i didn't know who was good/who wasn't, so i just got my haircut by the woman who was there. i asked for a 0 medium fade and honestly i think she did a great job! she did the fade first, then trim, and then touched it up at the end so it blended together pretty nicely. i got a nice warm and moist towel to wipe my face at the end and paid the fee of $10 (crazy!!) but just gave $15 because it was so cheap and i liked how it turned out (oh they also take card which is super convenient). Overall i really was glad that i went to 4 Aces and would recommend it to any guy (sorry can't speak for girls ), especially if you are asian like i am and have super straight hair haha. i would recommend just setting an appointment because it did take awhile for a walk-in. i wish i could give 5 stars, but i think length of time does matter when you go get your hair cut (got there a little past 2:30 and left a little before 4) read more

I just moved to the area and one of the hardest things to do is find a good barber, let alone at a very reasonable price. I got a referral to come here from a friend, even though it was a little farther than I would've gone. But trusting a good friend and current customer, I decided to make the trek and get my hair cut here. Upon arriving there were two individuals cutting hair, a lady and a gentleman. The gentleman was the next barber open, so I proceeded to his chair. The next hardest thing is articulating what I would like for my haircut. I had a few pictures of previous cuts and proceeded to explain the cut I normally got. The barber and I discussed the cut and he went for it. It was a great cut! He added his own opinion on the fade and length of top, which turned out looking great. I will definitely be returning! read more
