To be honest I really want to leave a 5 star review... I went in here for my first time and told the nice lady 3 times I wanted my hair cut half the length of my original hair. The 4th time I even gave an approximation of 3 inches to be taken off visually with my hands(my hair was about 6inches at the time). When everything was said and done I got my hair cut all the way down to 1/2 inch long. The front of my head is slightly longer than the rest & looks kind of awkward. I also asked for a comb over(which what my hair was originally so all she had to do was do the same style, just shorter). I'll probably go back and give this place a second chance, just not with the same person who cut my hair. The haircut isn't necessarily bad, just didn't understand the point of explaining what I wanted if it wasn't going to be remotely close to what I asked for... I really felt the need to place a review because everyone who sees our little one comments on what a stud he looks like with his awesome haircut! He has had his haircut with Jack, Jason and the 2 gals that work there too and all have done an awesome job with out favorites being Jack and Jason. Showed up before opening time to get a cut here for the first time. There was one person ahead and another showed up after me. When they opened, the barbers called the other two guys up and when one mentioned that I was there first, the barber said "it's ok he will wait." That's fine I guess. But once that barber was done with the customer, he looked me straight in the eye and then called up someone who came in even later. Bottom line is, the place is run by ghetto Vietnamese people. If you're Vietnamese but don't have whack tattoos or a fake diamond earring, avoid this place. You will most likely get hated on. read more

I have been going here for over an year. I went there today and walked Inside. It was not that busy and I was the next customer. I told the barber I would wait in my car and she had me point out my car. Another customer walked in and sat down. I looked up and that customer was now getting a hair cut. I told her I was there before that customer and I that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes. She did not apologize and repeated you are next. That's poor service and I left. However I am only giving two stars because even though it looked nice my haircut wasn't. The sides weren't even and the top was cut all crooked. Terrible place of business. Came in for a simple hair cut and they messed it up. It was supposed to be a 2 around the sides but somehow there is a line across that is noticeable and it only ever happened at this place. I looked at the reviews and saw that they are bad at fades to I figured maybe they can do a simple regular cut, i was wrong. Save your money and go else where. I was a long time customer at another location until Jack decided to open his own barbershop. Although it's about 35 minute (further) from where I live it was not difficult to make the decision to follow Jack to his new barbershop. I return every 3-4 weeks and I have never been anything but 100% satisfied. Jack and his team are all professional, friendly, and they take their time to make sure the cut is done correctly. The hot towel at the end is a bonus. 4 Aces is always clean, and if I have to wait for a few minutes I can watch the big screen TV or read one of his latest car magazines while I drink a complementary bottle of cold water or soda... Having moved back to California, I went through the dreadful process of having to find a new barber. As an person with thin, straight asian hair and a PITA cowlick, it is difficult to find a barber who is experienced enough to tackle the problem. While it seems as if this place mainly specializes in fades and the like, Jack, the barber who cut my hair, was able to cut my hair exactly how I like it. The cuts are affordable ($10 for adults, $8 for children and seniors) and they also serve complimentary beverages such as water and soda.
