Bagelry & Brew is located in La Verne and what is unique about this bagel store is that they have a drive-through which I ended up doing and getting the bagels fast. The coffee here is spectacular and what I really needed that morning. I had a turkey bagel on a jalapeno cheese bagel. This was filled with a lot of turkey but overall I like how the cheese mixed with the bagel. It was tasty and a great way to start the day! So if you are into bagels this is a good spot to come and try out!

So sad the Californian wasn't on the menu anymore, but the Simple Turkey Cheese Bagel with Sourdough was great

Very clean and welcoming. Came here for a breakfast sandwich and it was very tasty and filling. Will definitely come here again.

I visited this wonderful place on accident after driving up to go to another restaurant. After discovering that it was closed, I came here because I didn't want to look for another place and figured seeing a good number of customers inside was a good sign. My hunch paid off. I walked in to discover it was a gaming night for a number of groups. There was one table where a game was being taught. There was another table with a pizza and a few eaten slices with a game in progress. I was greeted warmly and shared that it was my first visit. After asking what hot sandwiches were available, I decided on the meatball sub and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks hit the spot as a start, and the breading and cheese were tasty. I was pleasantly surprised at how delectable the meatball sandwich was. I wanted something cheesy since I was in the mood for French onion soup that night, but the meatballs were amazing! It's hard to go wrong at most establishments with a meatball sub, but the way the meatballs are prepared and cooked are special. I'm not sure if some pieces are grilled, but I'd definitely come back for this sandwich. It looked like there were a good number of regulars here with a few being called by name. That kind of loyalty is special. I've driven by this spot a number of times but have passed since I'm not much of a bagel person. Learning that there's so much more offered here makes me want to come back and try a pizza or other dish, so I'll definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful and welcoming first impression. Cheers! Note: for anyone who's previously seen the closed sign that I posted, please disregard as that was meant for another business.

the meat lovers bagel and a lemonade mango , and on the right is the egg and sausage bagel sandwich and banana horchata latte.

10/10 i'm on a road trip rn to big bear and i stopped by solely cuz i saw the banana horchata latte. So cute and quick. Service was quick plus they have a drive through.

I was craving a bagel for breakfast and this was number one in La Verne so I was very excited to give it a try. It was open early and when I arrived I noticed it has a drive thru! Places my order and drove up to the window. Service was fast and very friendly. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese. SO GOOD! I didn't go inside but my drive thru experience was amazing. Definitely coming back here when I'm in the area

The BEST bagels on this side of the 210!!! I love the avocado style on a spinach parm bagel! It's literal perfection. The staff is *always* friendly and you can tell everyone genuinely is happy to be working here! The vibes are chill and comfy. Bring your whole fam or baseball team because there is space for everyone! Already looking forward to coming back.

I got the Horchata Latte and the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a Jalapeño and Cheddar Bagel. The coffee was good but didn't really taste like horchata. The bagel was okay as well. Good if you need a quick breakfast. Plenty of seating inside and outside as well so that's nice.

    Order no refund

I have been coming to this place for years, I think it was called sals bagels and pizza. I Usually get the same few things (bagels). But I recently had an experience that left a bad taste in my mouth, literally and figuratively. I had placed a grub hub order because I've moved a city away from bagel and brew and what I received was bad service, missing items I paid for, and a 3 calls not answered. I ordered a New Yorker on "jalapeño cheese" bagel and ADD Avocado, and ADD Sprouts. I did not get that. Colleen called me from restaurant left a voicemail and said they were out of that "jalapeno cheese" bagel so I called back and they gave me option of cheddar bagel I said yes she said we can do plain I said how about egg bagel! She said ok... they gave me a cheddar bagel. HOWEVER I forgot I ordered a side bagel too with cream cheese and it was too a "jalapeño cheese" bagel. "Jalapeño cheese" is extra so I was charged for 2 jalapeño cheese bagels and sprouts and avocado and I did not get that at all. In return I received a cheddar bagel on my sandwich and an egg bagel for the price of a jalapeño cheddar bagel and a lousy refund of $0.50 cents for a jalapeño bagel, not the full price. It seemed deliberate because I ordered this exact order the other day on uber eats/Postmates and it was wrapped all nice and the bag was gracefully placed on my doorstep, but this time the sandwich was lighter and smushed and untoasted missing ingredients even after a phone call !??? She read me the order when I called to confirm my bagel choice and still messed up? I called the persons cell of Colleen and restaurant two times no call back or rings. I called from a different number and it answered. Sick. They lost a loyal customer. And found a business rival. I'm opening a bagel shop now local. Thanks for the good times and motivation.

I have passed by this location many times, but had never stopped until this last Sunday. They have many different flavors of bagels and they offer a few different types of bagel sandwiches. The asiago cheese bagel was perfectly made. The jalapeno cheese actually had a little kick, which was great. The blueberry bagel had little pieces of blueberries all over the bagel. The bagels themselves were chewy and fresh. They also serve a daily featured bagel, which on Sunday was carrot cake (we did not try it). Pizza, salads, and other food items are also available for purchase.

Employees there are very kind and seem to take an interest in everyone who walks in the door. Recently an incident occurred that I have nothing but respect for how the staff handled. A now former regular, who I will be keeping anonymous for obvious reasons, was banned from the store for openly racist remarks and verbally harassing staff. I was not personally present for it, but that is accurate to my experience with said person. They have repeatedly made racist and classist comments and have pretty heavy handedly push their ideological views to me. After banning said customer, they proceeded to threaten and harass the staff, from what I saw in regards to the banning, the manager Adam handled it with more respect and elegance than I believed necessary. Despite his tact, she took that as an opportunity to go on a tangent of excessive profanity and slurs. I think it's very telling about the type of people who work at Penny that they value maintaining a safe and welcoming environment even in the face of bullying and harassment. Unfortunately, my experience with the shop changed because of repeated interactions with the store manager, Adam and the event that had just happened. I want the owners to be aware of concerns I have regarding the atmosphere created by management. On multiple occasions, I have heard Adam speak negatively about the owners and other baristas in front of customers. I have also experienced him bringing personal and political opinions into conversations while working, which I feel creates an uncomfortable/unprofessional environment. He works every Monday so I can't even sit on the only couch and drink my coffee in peace, he's always talking nonsense and forcing his personal opinions down my throat. He never stops talking, and if you try to share your opinion, he talks right over you. He has a veryyy hard time accepting viewpoints that differ from his own. He's honestly on some sort of power trip. The most concerning incident occurred recently when Adam yelled in my face while inside the coffee shop!! Then the other barista, David got involved with his encouragement during this interaction. They surrounded me and were trying to intimidate me together and at that time there were no other customers in the store, and when I tried to speak to them to tell them to stop yelling at me- they went at me harder to the point I had to literally run out of the shop bc I didn't feel safe there. It's the first time I have ever had two men corner me and yell at me- it was honestly traumatizing. After leaving, I informed David that I would never be returning. I believed that would be the end of the situation. However, David provided Adam with my personal phone number without my permission, and Adam contacted me by text after I had already left the store in an effort to intimidate me further. During that exchange, Adam also accused me of being racist. I found it completely inappropriate that my personal information was shared without my consent so that a workplace conflict could continue outside of the store. I also want to address an issue with David. Throughout my visits, you have repeatedly attempted to hug me or touch me when I came into the shop. Regardless of your intentions, this made me uncomfortable. Customers should not be touched without their consent. I also work in the business of customer service, and I understand the importance of professionalism. I would never speak negatively about my employer to customers, push personal or political views on people supporting my business, yell at a customer, or use a customer's personal information to continue a confrontation after they leave. It's disappointing because I did like this coffee shop and wanted to continue supporting it. However, my experiences with Adam and David traumatized me. I hope the owners take these concerns seriously and address them so other customers do not have similar experiences.

I decided I needed to take a detour to a coffee shop since we already kinda got lost. Deep Barrel Roasters & Creamery, is located in a small and old strip mall in old town Norco. Or at least I think it is. I'm not familiar with the area. I can tell you though, that navigation had us driving through newer developments and then the old part of Norco before we finally arrived. I thought we got even more lost at first. The place was actually pretty packed inside and after having our drinks and pastries, I can totally see why. The first half of the building is the cafe where you'll be greeted with some cute and funny coffee signs. There's two large shelves full of their own coffee beans of different roasts. They have a few small tables to sit and enjoy your orders, but note it is a bit of a tight fit in there. They also have a coffee bar where some people sat in front of the baristas. Past the cafe side is the creamery. I was in a rush and didn't have a chance to take a look. What we ordered; 1) Hot Mocha Rocha with soy milk - 5/5 stars. I forgot to ask for this as half sweet, but either way, it was absolutely delicious. Rich and very flavorful. 2) Iced Mocha Rocha - 5/5 stars. Just as delicious as the hot version. 3) pistachio muffin - 3/5 stars. This muffin had a generous amount of actual pistachio baked into the muffin itself which I liked, however, the muffin had more of an artificial pistachio flavor for me. I still ate it but I wasn't in love with that one. 4) chocolate croissant - 5/5 stars. This was such a hit, we ran out right away. Everyone in our group attacked these so fast. I have to say, I am SAD that I live so far from Deep Barrel Roasters & Creamery. They have a lot of pastries, ice cream including deep fried ice cream, and beverages. I absolutely loved this place and look forward to visiting them again. Next time, I for sure will grab a dozen or more to share with the family and bring some home, and we will definitely grab some frozen treats too. Deep Barrel, is a gem. Norco, sure is lucky to have them. They are a must if you are ever in the area.
