Our guests were mostly couples, so we were able to go with slightly smaller quantities because we were pretty sure some couples would share. And we were right! We had leftovers. We also had plenty of guests asking who catered our desserts. If I had to do it all over again, I would go 50 matcha cream pies and 50 banana cream pies (apparently people LOVE bananas, even though I'm personally not a fan). Taste-wise, what I really appreciate about the desserts I selected is that they AREN'T TOO SWEET!!!! My first experience with 43&Co is at the local farmer's market. I think we went back over and over again because of their mini banana cream pies and mini chocolate cream pies. I actually do not recall if there were too many other options at the farmer's market because the pies were what caught my eye each time. While perusing through wedding dessert options, we discovered that 43&Co offers a wedding dessert menu so we jumped at this option. Through a few e-mails, we were given the option to choose six flavors from their menu to try and coordinated a pickup from their facility. The sample box is a bit pricey but it is different than their regular menu so it makes sense if they made these pastries specifically for us. Payment was easy and Likbin was very quick to answer all questions and concerns that we had. We were able to try the cream puffs, lemon tart, lychee tart, banana cream pie, and chocolate cream pie, and hazelnut expresso cake. We ended up choosing 5/6 of these options and only avoided the one due to potential nut allergies for our guests. We had a deposit to reserve the date and two months before the wedding, we placed the final number of items that we were looking to order. We coordinated a delivery date and time and made the final payment. On the day of the wedding, Likbin delivered the pastries herself to our knowledge without any issue. Our caterers had set out the desserts on display and everything was devoured shortly after we cut the cake. Everyone enjoyed what they could grab and lucky for us, our caterers set aside a box of two of each dessert for us to enjoy at the end of the night. It was $72 for a dozen of the fruit tarts ($6 for a single) and I added in 1 banana cream pie tart since I've read so many people talking about them here on Yelp. They'll text you the night before pick up to confirm. The place is really easy to find-- Right across the street from Great Mall. Once you park, you just text them to let them know you are there for contactless pick up. They bring out your bag and place it on the cutest little cart. When I brought them back to the fam, even my picky mom was impressed by these tarts. The fruits looked like they were hand picked to perfection as all of it looked like it was ready to be photographed. That didn't happen by accident! I found 43 & Company on an Instagram ad, believe it or not, and I'm more than happy to support local businesses especially during this time. I saw on the ad that 43 & Co was open for takeout orders or delivery. If you plan on picking up your lovely desserts, you would have to order at least 24 hrs in advance and designate the time and date of pickup. If you prefer delivery, it's an additional $10 cost for it. When I was taken to the website, I noted the user-friendly interface and easy online ordering. 43 & Co offered several ordering options. You could settle with one flavor, mix and match until your heart's content, or try one of the fixed sampler boxes (e.g. cream pie sampler, mini dessert sampler). I curated my own dessert box containing one tart/cake of each flavor (total 7). Prior to the pickup time, I received a very detailed text from 43 & Co about how to get to their kitchen. I was also kindly reminded to wear a mask as it's required by City of Milpitas for all employees and customers to wear masks. I really appreciated the measures that they took to ensure compliance and safety in food handling. The desserts were amazing! Then we found @43andcompany and they blew our minds. They were on another level. Their desserts are DELICIOUS, not too sweet, not thick and cakey but just right. Their flavors are unique and here's what we picked: Coconut cardamon rice pudding cups are topped with fresh mango, a very subtle sweetness and very refreshing on a hot summer day, and certainly unique. Lychee champagne tarts were our original favorite when we tasted them. Just such a lovely unique flavor. Lemon tarts were so good. Doing something common and doing it really well showcases their skill, and, the tartness vs sweetness is just right. Mini eclairs are great as well, we choose the eclairs to provide some chocolate in our choices, and my friend ate TEN of them! Fruit tarts tasted and looked great. Everyone does a fruit tart, but whereas the one we got at an American bakery had uneven fruit pieces, 43&co. Really spent time on the presentation. So you have an option of ordering using a QR code, their website, or Yelp/ Grubhub. If you order through their website you can choose one of each of particular items but I noticed that if you order through Grubhub you are limited to 2 of the same item, which counts as it's own menu item. Instead of conventional retail where one acquires a store front, presents it in an attractive manner for customers to go in and out, this by-passes all that. So no store to browse/enter, no live human interaction, just click, click, check out, pay, set up pick up time or delivery. Not sure how long it will take the mainstream to pick up on this, but I applaud the pioneers in utilizing this format. I find it viable and useful, even though I'm just getting used to it myself. Got a small box of 6 small tartlets. I thought I ordered 3 flavors, 2 each. But what I received was 2 flavors, 3 ea. So their ordering process is not too solid for me. The thing with this format, is since there is no live human interaction, you won't know what you got until it is in your possession. I didn't get an email of my receipt even though you had to give them an email address. Don't know if it was a mishap, but that was my experience. So I only tried one of the tartlets. I will say that they are incredibly attractive and nicely packaged. Definitely a fancy food gift. I tried the Chocolate Cream Pie flavor (4*) and it was decent. Very crisp crust, almost puff pastry like. It was a bit too brittle for me, as I tend to like a more buttery pie pastry that has more of a chew versus a crunch. But that's totally my preference. The chocolate mousse filling is about as good as it gets texture wise, perfectly smooth and ethereal. I also prefer more of a chocolate punch, but again, that's a personal preference. My box also contained some fruit tarts, which I did not taste, since this was a gift. It is very aesthetically pleasing to look at, as they have a nice hand with presentation. I would probably order this again to taste, but maybe in their larger size for a family outing. Also want to try their Banana Cream Pie Tart, that was missing from my original order. It isn't cheap here but if you look at their pics, you'll understand why. The small 3-4 bite tartlets are $6 bucks each. May not seem a lot as each, but as you multiply them, they'll escalate quick. My small box of 6 was $36 and with a small tip threw it to an even $40. But if you've shopped in the fancy bakery case of Whole Foods, then this will look familiar. Can't get product day of, gotta give them a day, pick up the next. Day of they'll send a text to confirm your pick up. When you arrive at the industrial roll up doors, just text them, and someone will drop off your product on this little garden wagon...cute. Then the door will shut and you're good to go. I'm still gonna lean towards the conventional retail, as I find it more available and convenient. But I will gradually start incorporating this mode in my choices. read more

Okay, first of all, if you guys think you're going the wrong way because you're in the middle of all these warehouses, no, it's not a new episode of Netflix's "You," this place is literally in between so may industrial warehouse places LOL. I hope they get a big sign up or directions to their place somehow because it's a really hidden spot. This place takes *advanced orders only*! You'll have to order things ahead of time which I think is pretty cool because it shows that everything is made fresh and in-house! My friends actually ordered fruit tarts and creme brulee from this place for a bachelorette/bachelor party and they were absolutely DELICIOUS! Everything tasted amazing and light. It's not to sweet which I truly appreciate!!! It almost feels guilt-free LOL The second time I was here, I ordered a birthday cake for my mom and although she's a huge fan of tiramisu cakes I found this place has something along those lines that seemed better! Hazelnut espresso! First of all, I'm so glad they indicate that their cakes are gluten-free because it's a huge plus and just the little things that makes eateries 10x better with such small gestures. Second of all, the cake was absolutely beautiful and not overwhelmingly huge!!! Each bite was great an loved (again) the light and airiness feeling of eating their cakes! Amazing service and scrumptious desserts! I've been wanting to try 43 & Co for a while now as I've heard such wonderful things about their desserts from several friends. My team had a team outing so I picked up desserts for them from here. Our outing started at 11 AM and 43 and Co was so kind in letting me pick up the desserts a little earlier. I really appreciated it and am so glad I reached out to ask if I could pick it up a little bit earlier. My team loves both banana cream pies as well as chocolate flavored desserts, so everyone was excited to try out these delectable treats. Since our team outing was outside, I was planning to get ice packs for the desserts. The manager was so awesome about letting me know when I could order their insulated bag and ice packs. It was $8 and so worth it; the desserts stayed nice and chill and the ice packs are reusable! You can now order the insulated bag and ice packs on their site. Great if you want to keep the desserts chilled if you're out for a long time. I ordered the following: All of the desserts were a hit with my coworkers! - Mini dessert sampler - Half a dozen chocolate cream pies - Half a dozen banana cream pies - Half a dozen fruit tarts Service was impeccable. The owner texted me 30 minutes before my delivery time to give me instructions to text when I arrived and they would put the desserts out in their wagon for contactless delivery. The packaging was perfect and the owner was so kind, smiling and waving at me when I was in the car. The owner is super on top of texting and right when I said I was there, I got a text right away saying they'll be right out. If you're looking for the storefront, the storefront says "the kitchen" and there's a smaller sign that says 43 and co. I added a photo so it'll be easier for you to find the store. My team calls themselves vultures ;) as they grab food so quickly whenever we eat together. It's survival of the fittest. :p They loved and devoured the desserts and went back for a second and third time. Loved all their reactions when they took their first bite of their dessert. I got the same reaction from my team members. Once they had their first bite, they were like, "Wow, this is sooo good." I had the banana cream pie and mini fruit tart from the mini dessert sampler. The banana cream pie was amazing! The filling was the perfect level of sweetness and I loved the taste of the bananas. It was truly incredible and I already want to go back to get another one. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for amazing desserts and service. The presentation of the desserts are top notch and my coworkers commented on how beautiful the desserts looked. Everything I've tried from 43 & Company has been a masterpiece but the Banana Cream Pie is my absolute favorite! It's made of banana slices, house-made salted caramel, premium vanilla bean infused pastry cream in an all-butter flaky crust, topped with lightly sweetened whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings. You can also get them in their mini size in their mix and match box (one of my favorite things to take to potlucks). They're also great for catering team events (spoken from the Google and Meta events I've been to that catered their goodies)! read more

My husband is obsessed with a banana tart we usually get from SF, but the lines, parking, and location make it difficult to regularly access. I found 43 & Company when browsing Yelp and immediately placed an order (order before 11:45PM on their website for next day pick-up / delivery) for 2 banana cream pies, 1 chocolate cream pie, and 1 chocolate raspberry cake. Pick-up was very COVID-friendly and contactless. Upon parking, you text them, they come out and place your items in the wagon, and then you pick it up. The pies are delicious and less sweet than other places. They also have a good proportion of filling (creamy w/ real slices of bananas) to crust (perfectly crisp, not too thick, and layered with chocolate and caramel). Super delicious. The fruit tart and lemon tart are my favorites. The crust is so crisp and buttery and the cream is smooth. The banana cream pie is fantastic too, not a lot of banana and some caramel flavor to it. The chocolate cream pie has a strong coffee flavor not so much my taste. read more

One year and many pies (and mini pies) later, and I am still obsessed with this place! They have a brick and mortar now that you can pick up your order from (order by 11:45pm the night before for next day pick up), and they have a great contact-free process in place. In addition to their banana cream pie which is almost identical to Tartine SF's, their chocolate cream pie is also amazing. The standard sized pies and mini pies are all good, the mini pies are great for larger gatherings if you don't want to deal with the mess of cutting and serving. Picking up my 6th order tomorrow and I've also added a mini lemon tart and coconut cream pie this time, so excited to try new flavors! read more
