Pretty good! My friends and I shared an oreo cream & mango puree coconut pudding. The flavor on both were light but just strong enough as to not overpower the coconut pudding itself. The coconut pudding here is the softest one I've ever tried. However, I personally prefer coconut pudding with a bit more firmness (like tong sui). I would describe the texture of the pudding here reminiscent of slightly undercooked boiled egg whites, or more pleasantly, extremely silken tofu. We came near closing and it was still pretty busy. I really like Melo Melo and I've had it a lot of different time - even buying it from the grocery stores. That being said I tried the mustang durian and am very disappointed I bought the musang durian about 45 minutes ago, I just had dinner and started to eat my dessert. The package was still quite cold. The coconut pudding was very good. The top silky layers of coconut was perfect. Everything was going well until I dig for the durian - the main event. I love durian and try to get durian favor everything so it's not because I'm a hater. And I've had all sort of durian things so I think I know what durian taste like. The first sensation was tingliness - it's like almost alcoholic. And the rest was sour! It was a shock I didn't know if I should split it out or what. I did not finish it. I had to retry - since the coconut part was delicious. I try to drink water to cleanse my taste but and then try another bite of durian. It's worse. I can still feel the stinging sensation still hanging out on my tongue whyyyy I'm so sad. Will I try Melo Melo again? My niece was telling me how she likes the "strawberry parade" at this dessert shop and in my mind, I was thinking there must be a strawberry festival or something to that extent. I had it over two sittings (ate half one day, half the next) and I will say that it tastes way better all in one sitting. It was not overly sweet and felt pretty light for a dessert. The durian had a strong smell and flavor, but I enjoy both the taste and fragrance, so it was no problem for me. Overall, I really enjoyed this dessert. A bit expensive, but a nice treat. Melo Melo is more flavor-forward but the pudding is much softer where it's lacking any texture whatsoever. The jar appears to be larger than their competitors, but I can't say that the price is justified for me. I also tried their mango roll/pancake. Perhaps I just didn't fully understand what I was ordering, but it was not what I was expecting. I expected a soft, chewy, QQ mochi wrap surrounding delicious chunks of mango. Instead, I got a soggy, not chewy, and oddly moist mochi wrap filled 80% with whipped cream, and a very small slice of mango inside. I wished they used mango chunks so the fruit could be more evenly dispersed. The slice of mango was so small that it was only in the center, so most bites were just soggy mochi and whipped cream. I would NOT recommend this again unless you are whipped cream's #1 fan and prefer very soft mochi. read more
