Favorite spot to get fresh poke. Fish is always fresh. Depending on when you go, certain proteins can be sold out. Can never go wrong with their salmon though! Buttery and not too fishy. You order at the register. Pick your bowl and proteins. It includes sides such as crab salad, seaweed salad, masago, edamame, fried onions, picked cucumber (kyurizuke). I got the half and half (rice and salad) with spicy salmon and spicy izumidai. Both flavorful. You can also order just poke by the pound. Good if you wanna share and it eat with some chips! It's a small convenience store in addition to the poke shop so there are limited seats available. The mart itself sells of a lot of Asian snacks and drinks. The fish here is great! They have a standard set of toppings instead of a bunch of custom ones like other build your own spots. There's also a convenience store inside. I got the two fish bowl with salmon and spicy tuna over a mix of rice and salad. The fish was so yummy! It tasted fresh and salmon was well marinated while I also loved the spicy sauce on the tuna. Toppings were standard but good. The only minor complaint would be that the rice a was a little mushy. It's such a nice spot to grab takeout from and then eat outside! I keep wanting moreeee! Portions seem so much bigger than what I remember from like 8 years ago. Theyre loaded! Lots of fish and large chunks make the bite great. Sides are pre selected on DoorDash and theres a good variety. Theyre not overly sauced so you can taste EVEYRHING. Henry was great and so kind and helped us recorrect our order. We placed an order on DoorDash for pick up not realizing there was 2 locations and he helped contact the SLU to work things out for us. Anyone else wouldve just apologized and we wouldve just had to deal with the mess up and canceling the order losing the refund. So thank you Henry! We took it to go and enjoyed it at greenlake. This is a frequent food spot for me since the portions are good, food is tasty and consistent. A small corner shop that has snacks, drinks and the poke bar inside. I always get a two fish bowl with salmon and tuna - you can make it spicy if you like. Service is quick and fast. Depending on who is making it, your bowl may be so full you can't put the lid on (which I'm not complaining about)! Love love, love their poke. One of the better poke spots in the area! Super convenient location on 45th, although with that said, parking can suck at times just depending (it'll be street/neighborhood parking). It's actually kinda crazy how Seattle doesn't have too many good poke spots considering they're known for seafood and are obviously located right next to da ocean This place is consistent + the fish is always good quality. I just found out tn that they added more fish options including tako + hamachi (extra $2). I personally only get the salmon bc I don't trust/like ahi in Seattle lol, but I tried the tako tn and it was actually ok! read more

The poke was good but for $25 I wish it wasn't just top layer with 3 protein then lettuce then rice to fill it. Service was ok. You can't really see the fish ahead of time before you order it like other places so you kinda just guess what would be good. I got 2 of the spicy salmon and 1 spicy tuna. Located inside a convenience store, this poke shop is a hidden gem. Our fish of choice were the regular salmon, regular ahi, spicy salmon, and taco - all delicious, fresh, and seasoned well! We loved all the different toppings that comes with the bowl including seaweed salad, pickled cucumber, edamame, crab salad, etc. The food came out quick, making it a great lunch stop. My only complaint would be the portion sizes and the ratio of fish to salad/rice were off. They do pack the bowls, however there was significantly more lettuce and rice than fish. We do wish the portions were bigger for the price point, but it is still a great choice if craving poke. read more

I recently tried out 45th Stop n Shop after hearing so much about it from friends in the area. Located in Wallingford, this poke bar is part of a convenience store that also sells various Asian snacks and drinks to accompany your poke meal! There's no parking lot available, so you do have to street park, but I went on a Saturday afternoon and was able to find parking quite easily as it's not as hectic as downtown can be. When you walk in you'll first enter from the convenience store side. It's rather small with only a few bar-like seating options available, so it's definitely more of a casual grab and go spot in my opinion. I ended up ordering the 2 fish bowl with salmon and tuna both with the standard spice. I love that this place's default bowl is half rice and half salad, and that they already have the bowl sides included with so many delicious toppings! Something that took me off guard was the quantity of fish and sides they provide you with as well! They gave me so much food that one bowl ended up becoming two separate meals for me! This place actually gives you the amount and quality of food that you're paying for. Our server was also so sweet as she carefully explained the whole ordering process as well as provided us with several recommendations from the fish options. Overall, I highly recommend checking out 45th Stop N Shop in Wallingford! I am happy to say that this has become my favorite poke spot in Seattle so far! read more

I accidentally became somewhat of a regular here last year (without meaning to, which was alarming to me considering the price of eating restaurant food in Seattle) but that's testament to how delicious and fresh the food was. The service here is always pretty quick, even when there's a bit of a line, and the staff are really friendly and receptive regarding topping substitutions/tweaking (I would usually ask for more edamame in exchange for less pickled ginger and they would kindly oblige!). This isn't like a chipotle where you can have your pick of toppings all laid out pretty in front of you, but I've always been pleased with their set combination. Obviously your mileage may vary. I always order the full-rice (you can do salad instead) poke bowl with several kinds of fish since that came out to be the most cost-effective (right now, one fish is 18 maybe while two fish is 19 and three fish is 20 so why the hell not!) and would absolutely gorge myself. Their fish is sliced into larger chunks than I usually find at other poke places which I personally enjoy! They have a little indoor seating area along with some outdoor tables, and when the weather's nice, sitting out there with your bowl is so lovely. It's definitely a bit of a splurge for me but it's a delicious treat that I definitely save up for. read more

I've heard good reviews about this shop for a while now and I was finally in the area to try it out! They serve poke in a mix between American and Hawaiian poke. The poke itself is closer to Hawaiian in that they've let the fish marinate in the sauce but the bowl comes with quite a few toppings. It's a packed bowl. I ended up getting a 2 fish bowl with half salad and half rice. I will say that due to how packed the bowl was, it was hard to eat it my preferred way aka mixed. Trying just the fish, you can tell it's fish that was marinated in the sauce because of the texture. The bowl was great, I have no complaints beyond wishing there was an eastside location. read more

The fish is always really fresh and the mixture of ingredients and toppings is just perfect. I don't live in Seattle but every time I visit (a couple times a year), I have to go to 45th Stop N Shop at least one time if not more than one time. I was in the mood for poke and saw this place had stellar reviews so swung on by. Normally a poke shop inside a mini mart would be a no-no where I'm from but I was feeling adventurous. I first noticed the prices to be a little steep. Seattle, I guess. I really just wanted a small bowl as I wasn't that hungry, but I already made the trip. Each scoop of fish is only $1 extra so you'd be better off coming here and going straight for the 3-scoop large instead of $18 for one scoop "small." I have a feeling they use the same bowl for all 3 and just cram more fish in. I was surprised that the bowls are pretty much as is, meaning you don't get to pick and choose your toppings. You basically get white rice and romaine/spring mix (half and half or one or the other), fake crab salad, seaweed salad, fried onions, masago, ginger, Japanese pickles, edamame, and whatever marinated fish you pick. I held the fake crab but got $3 avocado add on. For a "small" the bowl was super heavy, however it was 2/3 filled with rice, not leaving much room for all the other stuff. I did get a fair amount of tuna, but the lettuce was mostly stem, and the tiny scoop of avocado was mostly stuck to the lid when opened because everything got smashed in. Outside of the lack of leafs, the ingredients were fine, but the way they built and packaged it was horrible and nearly impossible to eat. If you do decide to try it, ask for an extra bowl or something, and maybe ask for the avocado on the side so you don't waste any of your 3 bucks against the lid. Overall the lack of choices and some poor construction led to a disappointing meal, sorry I can't personally recommend. read more

My go-to's are the spicy salmon and tuna. I've had the unagi a couple of times and it was pretty good too but it does cost extra. Unlike other poke spots, once you order which protein you want, they make your bowl with all the toppings on top, unless specified if you want something excluded otherwise. The aokappa japanese pickles are FIRE. So crunchy and such a good touch. My wife loves this place. It's her go-to poke spot, and I can see why. The portions are generous, and they don't skimp on the toppings. However, I personally find their poke bowls a tad over-seasoned. The spicy tuna is too spicy and their salmon poke is a bit too salty. Even with the generous portions (which are a plus!), I sometimes struggle to finish the bowl because the flavors are so intense. That also feels bad because that means I am wasting precious expensive sushi fish. The atmosphere is also very interesting, since it's almost like a convenience store. It came with a very generous amounts of the two fishes and with a ton of different sides that included crab salad, ocean/seaweed salad, edamame, fried onions, and ginger! Wow! Coming from Hawaii, our poke bowls don't usually come with sides, but I'm definitely not complaining as they were all a good addition to the bowl. Good thing I was sharing, wouldn't have finished it all myself LOL. I asked for spicy, and spicy is what I got! Didn't expect a quick hit of spiciness on the first bite actually.
