I keep wanting moreeee! Portions seem so much bigger than what I remember from like 8 years ago. Theyre loaded! Lots of fish and large chunks make the bite great. Sides are pre selected on DoorDash and theres a good variety. Theyre not overly sauced so you can taste EVEYRHING. Henry was great and so kind and helped us recorrect our order. We placed an order on DoorDash for pick up not realizing there was 2 locations and he helped contact the SLU to work things out for us. Anyone else wouldve just apologized and we wouldve just had to deal with the mess up and canceling the order losing the refund. So thank you Henry! We took it to go and enjoyed it at greenlake. We will be back!

This is a frequent food spot for me since the portions are good, food is tasty and consistent. A small corner shop that has snacks, drinks and the poke bar inside. I always get a two fish bowl with salmon and tuna - you can make it spicy if you like. Service is quick and fast. Depending on who is making it, your bowl may be so full you can't put the lid on (which I'm not complaining about)! Love love, love their poke. I definitely recommend if you're in the area or want a meal to go to take to gasworks.

Such a great spot and a really cool concept too since it is half convenience store and half poke shop. The food is super good. I got a spicy salmon poke bowl and was honestly surprised by how huge the pieces are. The tuna poke pocket is great as well. It is like an inari topped with a ton of tuna. Everything was fantastic and the portions are super generous. Definitely going to be a returning customer.

One of the better poke spots in the area! Super convenient location on 45th, although with that said, parking can suck at times just depending (it'll be street/neighborhood parking). It's actually kinda crazy how Seattle doesn't have too many good poke spots considering they're known for seafood and are obviously located right next to da ocean This place is consistent + the fish is always good quality. I just found out tn that they added more fish options including tako + hamachi (extra $2). I personally only get the salmon bc I don't trust/like ahi in Seattle lol, but I tried the tako tn and it was actually ok!

This place is definitely a hidden gem in the Seattle area. The fish is super fresh and tasty and the bowl is packed to the brim with all the fish and filling. I love the spicy tuna and would get it again and again. Great spot for a grab and go. The workers are super nice and patient with each customer.

Service was great. The person who was taking our order was really helpful to my friend who had a hard time deciding. Portion sizes are decent and the fish tastes super fresh! It's inside a cute small shop, so there's not a ton of seating. Best to get take out. Definitely will come back again!

The poke was good but for $25 I wish it wasn't just top layer with 3 protein then lettuce then rice to fill it. Service was ok. You can't really see the fish ahead of time before you order it like other places so you kinda just guess what would be good. I got 2 of the spicy salmon and 1 spicy tuna. But yea it's a shallow layer of protein bedded with iceberg lettuce(wtf) then rice and all the sides. Everything tasted good just the lettuce was interesting.

Is it a grocery store? A poke restaurant? Who knows! But I placed my order through the Yelp app and ended up with a big( )( ) bowl of food. They were really nice when I picked it up too, because I forgot to include my name with the order but they thought it was funny. Whew!

fish is always fresh and well seasoned! one of my favorite poke shops in seattle. love the spicy ahi and spicy salmon. recommend getting a bowl with all toppings. fast service and theyre always nice. casual spot and they have limited seating and its inside a little grocery store filled with Japanese/hawaiian drinks and snacks. 10/10! i come here often and its very consistently delicious.

This is going in my fav poke spots mostly because their spicy tuna is spicy cubed tuna and not the mashed up tuna that you see everywhere else!! Fish is good, so is the rice and the kyurizuke which i had to ask to find out is the japanese pickles. A bowl with 2 fish scoops was super filling for me even with a half salad half rice base. Their store also has these sake jelly shot drinks that I have been looking for for a long time now!! So more brownie points to them. The person taking my order was also incredibly nice and helpful.

Beautiful poke bowls with large chunks of fish! Pricey but worth it since the fish is very fresh. Note that this place has pretty limited customization, and all bowls come with crab salad, seaweed salad, ginger, edamame, pickled cucumber, fish roe, and fried onion. Service was efficient and they have a small seating area inside. The convenience store itself offers lots of Japanese snacks and drinks for purchase with your meal.

Tasty! Sorry for the photo, it looks squished since we brought it home to eat, but they had stuffed the bowl to the brim! I love that. We enjoyed the spicy salmon the most and then the spicy ahi. They have a lot of toppings and allow you remove any as you'd like! They also have the spicy mayo and soy sauce-like sauce on the side you can get containers from! Loved that as well. Very quaint shop and quick service. Small seating available inside! Street parking.

I recently tried out 45th Stop n Shop after hearing so much about it from friends in the area. Located in Wallingford, this poke bar is part of a convenience store that also sells various Asian snacks and drinks to accompany your poke meal! There's no parking lot available, so you do have to street park, but I went on a Saturday afternoon and was able to find parking quite easily as it's not as hectic as downtown can be. When you walk in you'll first enter from the convenience store side. It's rather small with only a few bar-like seating options available, so it's definitely more of a casual grab and go spot in my opinion. I ended up ordering the 2 fish bowl with salmon and tuna both with the standard spice. I love that this place's default bowl is half rice and half salad, and that they already have the bowl sides included with so many delicious toppings! Something that took me off guard was the quantity of fish and sides they provide you with as well! They gave me so much food that one bowl ended up becoming two separate meals for me! This place actually gives you the amount and quality of food that you're paying for. Our server was also so sweet as she carefully explained the whole ordering process as well as provided us with several recommendations from the fish options. Overall, I highly recommend checking out 45th Stop N Shop in Wallingford! I am happy to say that this has become my favorite poke spot in Seattle so far!

Ask the Community - 45th Stop N Shop & Poke Bar

    Is there inside seating?

    Yes, limited counter seating.

Does anyone know if they are currently open? They are not taking online orders anymore thru Door Dash and I can't tell if they are open.

They have been open in the last month. I’ve gone a few times. But I passed by on Tuesday 6/9 on…

Are the bowls compostable? Or do they have reusable bowls for dine-in?

    Recyclable and reusable.

Is this available for delivery on Postmates?

    Yes it is!

Does anyone know what is in the house sauce? Is it a yuzo soy sauce? Does it contain wheat or sweeteners besides yuzo?

I don't know what's in the house sauce, but you asked if they contain wheat and sweetener so I am assuming you are on paleon diet? They are NOT gluten free (I have asked before), and the sauce for poke is on the sweet side and the sweetness…

I was never a fan of crab salad until now, their crab salad is delicious and not overly slabbed with mayo!

There were none in the greeting cards aisle and none near the souvenir t-shirts. I asked the Security Guard and he suggested Aisle 4... Nope. That's the beverage aisle. I thought that I should check Aisle 1 since I looked in every other aisle... Of course the post cards were there! The last place was the winner! I grabbed a bunch and waited in line to pay. The customers ahead of me didn't have their wallets out and one woman had questions about a gift card. I give these store clerks credit... challenging customers test your patience... LOL! The shelves were bare; I was surprised to see so little stuff. I found water, but they didn't have the energy drink I wanted, so I had to get something else. That wasn't the only problem. There were two security guards who kept watching me as I walked around (even though I was wearing business clothes and clearly wasn't stealing anything). I get that security is important in the downtown areas of cities, but being followed while just trying to figure out what to get with the horrible selection felt weird and a little insulting. I had a backpack, but I didn't think I needed that much attention. On top of that, there were two guys doing drugs right in front of the store windows. I know the store can't control what happens outside, but it made the whole place feel really uncomfortable, especially at 9:00 in the morning. I know a lot of cities in the Pacific Northwest have problems with drugs, and some stores are still having trouble after the pandemic. But not even having basic things in stock, plus the security following me, and the drug use right outside made it a bad experience. This place gets one star, not just because of what was happening outside, but because they didn't even have the stuff I needed. It's a sad situation, and I hope it gets better.

A few times we've been caught without some of those above-mentioned items and with the recent closure of Whole Foods walking to a grocery store for goods has been even more of a chore. Here comes Plaza Select. It's got pretty much everything you'd expect and want but marked up by a few dollars or so. Primarily my friend and I come here for Ice. $3.xx here as opposed to $2-2.50 elsewhere. Not a huge markup which is fine but on one of my visits I went to debit the purchase, and it was an additional $1 or 2 because anything under $5 carries a fee.
