    Inside

Was staying near Green Lake and found this place. Wasn't too busy on a Thursday night and the service was great. They gave me miso soup on the house which was nice since it was a cold day. The two rolls (white tiger and spicy seattle) were great.

So I've been driving past this place for a few weeks now on my way home from work. I was always curious what it was, so I decided to Google it and it turns out to be sushi. Anyways I got really excited and pre-order dinner for pick up on my way home from work. Place is pretty spacious and online ordering makes it sooo easy. I got Otoro, chutoro, seared salmon belly, and salmon belly nigiri with a So good roll. I was probably better off sitting here and eating versus sitting in traffic haha. The food was still good by the time I got home. I really enjoyed the otoro, the buttery-iest cut ever. I would have preferred the seared salmon belly without so much sauce because it was a bit much. When I was waiting there for my food, the nice man working offered me a miso soup and that was very kind of him. I'll definitely be ordering more from here since it's so convenient for me.

I got the bad boy roll and salmon skin roll here as I made use of the Uber Eats buy 1 get 1 free + 40% off discount, which ended up to just be 30% cheaper because delivery apps just have a lot of fees and mark up the food by 50%+. It was fine because this place is quite far from the city and I wouldn't have been able to try it conveniently otherwise. The bad boy roll is fairly heavy and just okay, comes with 5 pieces per order. The fried batter still felt a little bit powdery so they might have needed to mix it better or leave it in the fryer a bit longer. Otherwise, the ingredients like the crab and eel were fresh and meshes well with the rest of the roll. The salmon skin roll was also a bit oily and salty, but otherwise fairly solid. This one also comes with 5 pieces per order. They do give a lot of salmon skin, and that is the main ingredient which checks out. Depending on the rolls, I'd say 2 orders total is more than enough for a meal, especially for this case because they were fairly heavy and oily. If I had car access, this would be a nice affordable sushi spot, as the regular menu prices most of the rolls at less than $10. In this case, $8.50 per order ordering directly, while the delivery app charges $12-14 per order for their regular prices.

On our first night in Seattle we were so tired after the flight that we found somewhere close by to eat. We love sushi so we decided to find a sushi place to try to see how it is in Seattle. I love how the place looked, very relaxing. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately. We each ordered a drink and some rolls to share. The staff were all kind to us and came by often to check on us. I don't remember which rolls we ordered, but I know we did try the real crab meat CA roll, which for us we didn't enjoy. The rolls weren't bad, but it's not what we would like. If we were to come back, we may pick other rolls to try and see if this restaurant is what we would consider coming back for again. Overall it was a great experience, it's just the taste of the sushi rolls isn't for us, or maybe it's just the ones we had picked.

Been my favorite spot for a few years now! Everything always tastes so good & fresh! My favorite things are the So Good roll & seared salmon nigiri. Michelle & Zoey always serve with a smile.

    Chicken Karage - delicious

We stumbled upon this random little sushi joint for dinner and we were so glad we did! It's a quaint little spot in a local neighborhood. Street parking only. There were only 2 servers and 1 bus boy working and boy were they running the show. Here's what we ordered: -chicken kaarage - very delicious and seasoned perfectly -garlic green beans - garlicky and yummy -salmon belly - a little too fatty for us -house salad - yay greens - the dressing was delicious -torched salmon nigiri - it was okay, kids always love torched salmon -hamachi kama - a little burnt -curry fish balls - surprisingly good! my daughter loves curry fish balls so she enjoyed this. its Japanese curry with fish balls and veggies. -spicy Seattle roll - salmon, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo , basic -spider roll - soft shell crab, avocado, cucumber, eel sauce, basic -salmon skin roll - I've never seen actual pieces of salmon inside a salmon skin roll before and I really liked that they had fish with the skin instead of just skin. not sure if it's changed since then, but ask the server to clarify! Overall, we would probably return especially for the kaarage and garlic green beans! Give it a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Seattle Crunch Roll (Top), Seaweed Salad, and Firecracker Roll

We've been here several times, and every time it wows us. Everything Ive ordered I would order again. The seaweed salad to start is so light and refreshing. The Seattle Crunch roll and seared salmon nigiri are incredible. The firecracker roll is true to its name, but not so hot that it will ruin your night. I can't say enough good thing about this place.

Spicy Yellowtail Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll
    Jaki Y.

Yummy neighborhood sushi spot! This place gets quite busy for dinner, so I always do take out (but expect at least a 30 min wait after placing your order). I love their spicy tuna roll and spicy yellowtail roll - they don't skimp on the fish and pack in avocado and cucumber.

    Chirashi Bowl

I've been craving sushi and as I was in the green lake area, I thought I'd try out Tsui Sushi Bar. I ordered Chirashi Bowl, Seared Salmon Belly, Spicy Seattle Roll, Mango Samurai Roll, & Takoyaki - all to go (had a picnic at green lake with my partner). You can tell the difference between quality seafood by its look and taste. Unfortunately, Tsui was very very disappointing. I've never had a chirashi bowl with packaged crab sticks, bean curd & tamagoyaki. It was also served with seaweed salad and a piece of lime. I was so confused. The flavors don't actually work well at all. I couldn't tell if it wanted to be a wanna be chirashi bowl or a wanna be poke bowl? The fish cuts were also disappointing - not fresh at all. The spicy Seattle roll & mango samurai roll were both disappointing. It lacked flavor. The Seattle roll was not spicy at all and the color on the tuna was scary for me to even want to try it. The tuna is supposed to bright and it was almost muted in color instead. It was only a 5 min difference to when we picked it up to green lake. I wonder if they made the rolls and then left on the counter?! Perhaps the saving grace of this entire meal was the seared salmon belly and the takoyaki. The takoyaki was edible and there was nothing special with them. The salmon belly was delicious! I'm sad they charged $6+ for 2. The pieces are smaller and of lower quality then all my other sushi joints I've eaten at so I was surprised they charged so much for it. Overall, I definitely wouldn't be back. This was a $80+ meal & I was extremely disappointed. I rather spend that money elsewhere.

And so we... * Took a $35 Lyft to zoom over and respect their time, which certainly contributed to the frustration but very much isn't where most of it derived from. We made it a few minutes before the time we said we'd be there. * The only reason this isn't one star is because we ordered skewers that were pretty decent. I do recommend those. * Make sure to have phone charge for the virtual menus The host was amazing!!! Incredible spirits for late night. The servers were pretty garbage! I say servers plural because dude and his lookalike double-teamed us and somehow both sucked. I say this as someone who's worked in the service industry for 3 years. The servers seemed actively dismayed & angry that we were at the restaurant (there were 2 bigger tables that ended up remaining before we left the place, mind you), which simply could've been easily mitigated by telling us at 8:50PM to come a different day if we wanted better service or something of the sort. After traveling far & wide for this freakin Okonamiyaki, with an offputting slight glare, the waiter told us that they didn't have it for the night. No reason provided: "we just don't have it"... mmmk buddy. At least lie to us and say that the kitchen doesn't have any more ingredients or something dude. Upon the 3 of us ordering what we got, each item was disappointing in its own right: * To be fair, my friend who ordered the Uni Udon was warned that it might be a little weird tasting, and it sure was. Don't recommend * The JFC Don pictured was about 90% rice according to my friend. Nothing more needed to say there. * Annd my Maguro Avocado Don... wow I was astonished at how much I disliked it. The rice was lukewarm. Nothing was mentioned about minced tuna on the menu so it looked like dog food in my bowl. I'm white... so what in the white people shit was in my bowl? Like...genuinely. I could make that 10x better at my house in half the time and I'm a fcking college student. Is seasoning no longer with us? Does anyone know what pepper or garlic are? Was astonished at how one can make a dish so terrible. I only ate it because I'm broke and can't afford other stuff. The dish looks as horrible as it tasted , and I made it look better than it was served to me I could go on. And lastly, the checks. Yknow, for guys that seemed so pissed for us being there, they were slow as hell with the checks. I'm kind af but a bitch when I'm fucked with (case in point here), so I really gave them my whole dentures, which was exponential in magnitude compared to what they gave us. Thank you Issian, for a terrible night. Citizens of the world, please don't waste your money here, I beg you.

The dispenser was wet, suggesting it had recently been used and run out. I flagged this to an employee who was handling food at the time. They acknowledged me but didn't address it. I waited and brought it up again and was met with visible annoyance. Another staff member eventually mentioned that employees use a sink in the kitchen. I asked if I could use it. Shortly after, soap appeared in the bathroom with no acknowledgment or apology. What concerns me most is this: if the customer-facing restroom had no soap during the dinner rush, and the response to being asked about it was irritation rather than urgency, what does that say about how handwashing is handled behind the scenes? I'm not looking for perfection. I'm looking for basic food safety protocol to be taken seriously. I didn't see that here.

Finally, we were celebrating a birthday so we appreciated them bringing out a complimentary dessert and it was very cute having them play the birthday song on the speakers so the whole restaurant sang along! On the misses, the spicy salmon hand roll was extremely salty to the point where it was burning my tongue. The hot dishes like the salmon chanchan yaki and chicken teriyaki were bland and overcooked, didn't even want to bring leftovers home. And the sushi took FOREVER to come out, at least 15 minutes after the hot dishes, so be warned if it's busy. Parking is also very limited on site so that;s another warning if you're going during busy times.
