We stopped in yesterday thinking it was going to be swamped on a Sunday for brunch and it was busy but we were able to get sat in under 10 minutes. Street parking was pretty easy to find as well. Added bonus being a Sunday it was free! I got the statehouse breakfast, with vegan bacon, an egg scramble with peppers onions and cheese and the most delicious blueberry pancake! So fluffy and delicious! My friend got the crunch wrap and French toast sticks. I was so impressed I got my husband a BLT and home fries to go. The ambiance is adorable and the service was great! I rocked up to this vegan diner about a half hour or so after it opened, to find no open tables. I was surprised; vegan is a niche, and I don't even think this is the most reputed vegan diner in Columbus, though it is downtown (which is why I chose it). Good sign I guess. I ordered takeout and ate it outside. Diner food, even when vegan, is not what I would call healthy, but I took the carb hit of a french toast with a chocolate marshmallow cream on the side to make it like a vegan s'mores. It was about as fluffy and tasty as any french toast. The option to get it with sides left me with some homefries and what turned out to be a brand of ketchup that I think supports veterans, as well as a Just Egg scramble. I like that they have Just Egg; a lot of these sorts of places do tofu, and that has its merits, but it's nice to have a non-soy, high protein option as well, and while I have no idea what actual scrambled eggs taste like, I find this mung bean-based gooey stuff has a pretty neutral flavor and a strangely appealing texture. Anyway, I was fairly impressed to have gotten this in a nice-looking centrally located space, and if I were coming with a group, I would definitely consider getting a reservation at peak times. read more

I love this restaurant for breakfast! I've been a couple of times now, so I am working my way through the menu to try something new each time I go. The interior is so cute with plants, quiet music, and a nice layout. There is a counter to order to-go items and pick up phone orders, or you can be seated to dine in like I like to do. The French toast sticks were excellent. There were two dipping sauces - one syrup and another a cinnamon cream cheese style dip which was my favorite. The other item I ordered was the breakfast sammie on Texas toast. I wish the toast was a little more toasty, and the chipotle aioli was not my favorite unfortunately. But everything else was great! Knowing that everyone has different taste, she gave me a few options. She said the Vrunchwrap was very popular. It was good, but I wouldn't get it again. Not because there was anything wrong with it, but because I'm not the biggest fan of chorizo. Now, if it had 'bacon' or 'sausage', I'd be all about it! I had my own water carafe. The waitress suggested the vrunchwrap, so I did order it as I like soy chorizo. I also ordered a side of hashbrowns with avocado and fajita vegetables. The presentation was very nice, and the flavor and texture of my meal were both superb. Not soggy or dry. The sauces were great. I will be coming back to this place. We'd been to this restaurant before and our experience with the food was just okay. We decided to give them another try, but today proved to be the most bizarre seating situation We'd ever encountered!! We walked in and were offered a table in the very front of the restaurant, right out in the open next the beverage service bar. I get a bit anxious sitting in the open in high traffic areas, so we asked to be seated in one of the 6-7 remaining open tables and were denied. The patio was offered, but it was in the 90s and very warm outdoors and we expressed interest in sitting indoors. We were then told they were saving the other tables "in case we get a rush." My boyfriend and I just looked at each other in confusion. Another couple came in and took the table up front, so we approached the staff member again about being seated. We were then told there would be a wait and were asked for our names. When we inquired about the empty tables we were told they were understaffed. So here's where we got confused, if you're saving the tables "in case you get a rush" how would the staff be able to handle those tables/the rush? One minute you're saving the tables and the next minute they're understaffed?? We offered to give the staff grace in regard to wait time and were then informed, we'd have to wait on the bench up front. There were 6-7 empty tables and only 15 patrons in the entire place with at least 3 staff members. At this point we were chuckling at the ridiculousness and the pettiness of this staff member. When we shared our confusion we were told it was "their policy". What policy being instituted was confusing to us. The staff member knew we were a bit confused and frustrated, so when we went to leave, they called out, "Have a good day!" We will not be back. read more

I've been to Vegan restaurants all around the U.S. and Europe, and this is one of the absolute best right in Columbus! Chef Chad is just a cool dude. My wife and I got to meet him at VegFest and he couldn't have been any nicer. We watched his show Top Vegan and because of all of this, we decided to make a trip from Cleveland to Columbus. The Breakfast Vrunchwrap, another amazing one, the BLT (I am pretty sure that was bacon... kidding) and cinnamon pancakes oh... and the appetizer brussel sprouts. The chicken sandwich was sweet and spicy- probably my favorite because the flavors were so unique. This is a must try. The Brussel sprouts were also amazing- another something you don't find. They used their bacon- which is by far the best I have had anywhere and I have been all over this beautiful county looking for great vegan food! The vrunchwrap was also good- they use Just Egg which I love normally- their horseradish aioli was so good! I was excited to check this place out since they opened recently, and offer a vegan/vegetarian menu. I came for lunch during the week. It's a great space with plenty of seating. You order at the counter, pay via tablet, and you are given a number and cup if you want water or organic soda at the fountain. I chose the Caesar Salad, and Blueberry Mozza Panini without the feta. Both were very good. The salad had a good selection of lettuce, and tasty dressing. The panini was with really good multigrain bread, made by Lucky Cat. I would like to try one of their veggie bowls, and their Pear & Brie Flatbread. It's really only a 10 minute drive from my work, but it's not as convenient for me to visit often, and additionally having to feed a meter. If I worked downtown, it would be walkable for breakfast or lunch. I believe this is a nice addition to the downtown eatery scene. read more

One of the best dining experiences I've had in a while!! The menu is HUGE and since this is an all vegan establishment, it made it really hard to choose what to order. I am surprised I have not reviewed this restaurant since I have been coming here pretty regularly for a few years. I love this place, it was on my favorite vegan spots in the country, and I can be picky. Ever since Eden Burger closed this has been my go to for great vegan options. So many things to choose from, honestly I have been here so many times that I have yet to try everything on the menu. Breakfast is great and served all day (I recommend the vrunchwrap and brunchos are the choices), but they also have sandwiches, burgers, and pizza. For lunch and dinner I recommend the pizza!
