I can't say enough good things about 4th Street Postal. Michelle and Candace (the "older lady" as another person rudely referred to her on Yelp) are incredible!!!! I have been coming there for years and they are always so helpful, quick, and accommodating with everything I need. Their prices for shipping are also great as I often ship packages to Australia. I recently moved to Los Angeles and I still ship things from their store when I am in town because their customer service is so great! I arrived a few minutes before 10:00am and they were already open (and busy!). Evan kindly notarized my paperwork, and when it came time to pay his fee, I almost fell over: $10.00. Most notaries charge at least 2x as much. I don't use notaries much, but when I need one again, I'll make sure it's here. Besides, it's great to support local businesses. I used this mail service for nearly the past two years and I just stopped because I was rarely in the area. Michele is a wonderful businesswoman and runs the place very well. She has plenty of customers and the place has a "mom n pop" feel (she even had her family help around the holidays), but a professional atmosphere. Michele promptly emailed me when packages arrived and had no trouble signing for them. She was always available by email. She was also always very nice. After using 4th Street Postal for a year, Michele gave customers a small monetary gift as a thank you. It was also their anniversary. That was really nice and they didn't have to do that. The service is affordable and they raised the price a few dollars after two years of service. For three months of box service, it went from $48 to $51. I just counted the emails I received from Michele in the nearly two years of service and there are more than 100. That's great service! And every letter was nice and upbeat. Thanks. read more

This was the easiest way to ship packages. I sold two items through poshmark and walked in with prepaid shipping labels and my unpackaged items. The two people employees inside greeted me and they took my items and the labels and said they could package them right and ship them out right away! I really love this little store! The big attractions for me are the nice friendly owners and its proximity to my place. The owners are an older middle-aged couple who may not be lightning-fast but are just so pleasant and helpful that you don't feel the usual ire of when you're at the regular post office (at least I don't). I've been in here several times so far to just mail things off and get something notarized, but just recently I went in there to get new passport photos. I got my photos taken and my package certified-mailed for about $15. The price seemed reasonable to me, especially in light of the shop's convenience factor. You can also just drop off your mail here 'til they close--they take the mail to the post office at the end of the day. I did that once when my mailman came a bit too early and I missed getting something out that I really wanted to go out that day. I've done business here a few times & everything has gone smoothly. This last time one of my packages was sent to the wrong address by accident. It happens. The neighbors denied ever receiving anything when asked. I called because the package wasn't delivered in about 2 weeks to here in California. I was not only compensated by postage & packaging, but also what was in the package! Wow. Just WOW! It wasn't extremely expensive, but just the gesture of reimbursement was much appreciated.
