What's not to like about a southern restaurant established by Greek immigrants, that advertises Italian food plus all-day breakfast? Their menu is enormous, and it all sounds good. Who could decide between beef tips over rice, a gyro plate, or French Toast with a side of ham? The ham slice was large, tender, and tasty. A hit! As is our custom, we asked someone who lives locally where to eat lunch & got this great recommendation. It's not much to look at, but it's a winner. There's a chalkboard menu, which I like. Lori got an omelet & I got eggs, bacon, & hotcakes. We were there at the lunchtime rush so there was a 20-minute wait, but once we were seated the food came fast & tasted delicious. Not a lot to expound on, but this place is a great place for your garden variety breakfast. Eggs any way you like them, toast, sausage or bacon. The potatoes were a nice surprise since I usually need hashbrowns to be well done in order for me to enjoy them. These were soft potatoes and I was a little apprehensive at first, but they had amazing flavor. Service was spot on, coffee was nice and hot, and we got out of there for less than $10 a person with a ton of food devoured. That's my kind of breakfast! read more

Wow! This is my new favorite Asheville diner. This quick service, off the beaten path restaurant makes a great breakfast. This isn't a slow paced meal though, they count on turning tables. The prices are very reasonable and the food is better than you might initially expect. That's why this place is a locals only type spot that is consistently crowded. I had a spinach and feta omelette, which was spot on. It was a huge portion of eggs, with a healthy helping of spinach and feta cheese, definitely not a disappointment. The potatoes were a little undercooked in my opinion but tasty non the less. The bacon was crispy and delicious. I was really impressed they had seeded rye bread, a personal favorite. If you want a quality classic diner style breakfast this is the place. It was a quality meal, reasonably priced and obviously popular with the Asheville locals for a reason. Food is OK, the hash browns were crispy and done the way I like them. Eggs cooked a little too much and the bacon was dismal. Small little thin bacon strips, like you find at a fast food place. Coffee was OK, would be better if they came around with a refill more. They do get busy here and food comes out fast, which is a plus. The pricing is low and the value ratio is good, so that makes up for the lesser quality ingredients. That is why people come back I guess. Service is harsh and with attitude by some of the servers. While they make you wear a mask when you enter and call it out if not. It is tossed out the window once you sit down and inside. They do not make people wait outside for a table and the area as you come in is very small, so people paying for meals, coming in, and delivery people picking up orders, are all crowded in one spot. Which is right next to the first booth that people use to lean on and wait, so while they make you wear a mask, there is no social distancing. DO not sit at the first booth, it should not even be in use. You will have people breathing down your neck and standing next to you while you eat. They have small booths that they add a small table at the end if you have 5 or 6 people, which makes it a tight squeeze between the counter and booths. When they do that, there is NO social distancing at all. They try and social distance at the counter, but what good is that, if they add a table at the booth and you are less than 3 ft away from the table behind you. Go for the value and fast food, but be prepared for no social distancing. They pack them in here. read more

Love it! One of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in Asheville. I like to sit at the counter so as to watch the the often furious activity going on at the grill and prep areas. These experts really manage to put out a lot of really good food in a really short period of time. That's a good thing considering how many other Ashevillians love this place. Want your bacon "limp" and your eggs runny? No problem. They will get it right and will do so quickly even when they're really busy. They're Greek-run so try them for lunch too. What a treat this place was! I was just up the road visiting an engineer and was starving. If I could choose one type of restaurant that I like most, the diner type is probably it. I love omelets so I will go almost anywhere that is serving them for lunch. The place is quite small. I was lucky to find a spot out front but parking could certainly become an issue. Most of the tables were full so I sat at the counter. I looked over the menu, even though I already knew what I wanted. The Florentine omelet with tomatoes, spinach and feta was my choice. I got the potatoes and biscuits for sides. The omelet was delicious. Perfectly cooked with a decent amount of filling. The potatoes were not cooked enough and had no seasoning. I added salt and made it consumable. The biscuit was one of the best I've ever had. It tasted remarkably like the Pillsbury canned biscuits my mom used to make; flaky and soft and slightly sweet. Don't know if they are homemade or the canned variety, but they were awesome. Reasonable prices for large portions of food. Beware! You will smell like a diner and fried food when you leave due to the close quarters and the kitchen being open. But that can be a constant reminder of the delicious meal you had. read more

They had just sold out if Moussaka so we had a choice of doubling either the pastistio or spanakopita or substituting spaghetti. Home town, homemade Greek food and in and out in 40 minutes! Unbelievably good food for 2 under 30.00, we will be back for lunch next year. We snagged two stools at the counter and Ann Marie could not have friendlier and attentive. read more

DANG that was one of the best omelettes and potatoes I've had in a LONG time. Quick service especially right smack in the middle of a breakfast rush and on Labor Day. We struggled to find a place to eat for breakfast with the busy weekend, and were told it was going to be 30 mins and were offered a chance to leave our phone number in case we wanted to go look for something else or they had a table sooner. Within 10 mins, we got a call saying they had a table! Thank gosh, because I was hungry. When we arrived, they cleaned the table and chairs down and sanitized everything which was nice given the covid pandemic. When we sat down we were immediately greeted and asked if we wanted anything to drink. After ordering, drinks were refilled and coffee was refilled without asking which we appreciated! I got the Greek omelette with gyro meat, tomatoes and olives and feta cheese with the potatoes. I fell in LOVE with the omelette and could barely finish, especially with the potatoes too! These were some of the best potatoes I've ever had at a breakfast place or diner. I added ketchup to mine which made it all the better.
