After hearing about their bloody Mary, I knew I had to come and do a brunch. And do a brunch I did! The bloody Mary bar was quite extensive. Many seasonings, hot sauces as well as were available for the bloody Mary mixtures. They gave you unlimited Greygoose refills for two hours and then you can go up there and put all the topics as you please. I feel it was worth it for $28. The brunch itself was also tasty. The food was pretty good, Aesthetic was coastal and the view was spectacular. The parking is in the back, just go there and you'll see its valet. Free for two hours with a receipt from the restaurant.

Stopped by for their Saturday brunch and was delighted with everything. I sat on the second floor, which is large, roomy, has spectacular ocean views, and a large bar. The entire place has recently been remodeled with a new outstanding decor. I took a pleasant window seat with a good view of the beach and ocean. I had a couple of cocktails which were of generous pour and ordered their Garden Omelette. The omelette couldn't have been more tasty as they used a good cheddar cheese and it came with two delicious pork sausages. My service was polite and professional. Other good points are that it has valet parking, and an elevator to the second floor.

Located on the the beach, above Boston's. Elegant look inside and cool decor. The fish dip and tacos were really good. Definitely a convenient spot for Happy Hour overlooking the beach.

We had a fabulous brunch here on a quiet Sunday. Our table had perfect ocean views. We both had the garden omelette with sausage and side of bacon. Everything was delicious and cooked fresh to order. The side of bacon was crisp and meaty and definitely a good size portion. We had some time to kill before our flight out later that afternoon so we moved to the bar and were able to watch a soccer match on the TV. The drinks were poured very well, service was top notch. We definitely had a good experience.

All things considered it was a good experience but the price to content ratio was a little below average so it's a mixed review. The Korean bbq pork belly was good, nothing special. The Caesar was great, above average overall from my experience with salads. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked, great texture, and decent flavor. It was a good cut and not chewy so I enjoyed that experience. The view was great as it overlooks the ocean and it's a nice classy ambiance inside. My issues primarily were that we weren't seated (ever), we eventually just made our own way over to the table that had been reserved for a time 45 minutes prior (would've been nice if someone after 15 would've asked if the whole party was there and would like to get seated) It took a long time to have our orders even taken, which after the initial wait made it feel like we may never eat. With a sizable group, only putting our food order in over an hour after everyone was initially expected to sit was a bit of a rupture point. Starting with apps and drinks instead of just drinks would've helped a lot... but the biggest thing... no bread? When you go to an expensive place, sure I want to save my appetite for the meal, but when you haven't eaten and aren't going to eat until 2 hours after your reservation, something to hold everyone over would've been nice, and usually that would be a standard of any restaurant at this caliber price point. Definitely a lot of hungry bellies which could be visibly felt. Overall food was good, environment was nice, and service was reasonable; but really should consider a little more order to operations and a small gesture of bread for the table could go a long way in impressions.

I've been to 50 Ocean before a long time ago, so my friend and I decided to go last night! As soon as you go upstairs, you're greeted by the sounds of people having a great time. They have a spacious bar, and both indoor and outdoor seating. The decor is very nautical themed and I loved looking at all the pictures on the wall. We were immediately greeted by our server, Mason, who was so friendly and funny, and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He explained all of the specials and took our drink order. We started with the $8 bread plate which came with a nice loaf of bread, and various dipping sauces (Rosemary oil, balsamic vinaigrette, butter, and roasted garlic cloves) We were so hungry we forgot to take a picture of that! lol My friend had the snapper, And I had the crab crusted grouper. Both of the dishes were out of this world! The presentation was beautiful and was only surpassed by the flavor! Mason then came over and offered us the dessert lists, and we decided on a creme brulee cheesecake that was out of this world! The manager had come by to make sure that we were happy and we told him that we were thrilled. If you're looking for delicious food with a view of the ocean, look no further. Make sure you ask for Mason to be your server, too, you won't be disappointed!

I want to like this place so much, the staff are some of the best in Delray Beach, the new decor is comfortable and inviting. The view, along with the location is one of the best in Palm Beach County. However, they fall very short on the food, which is so sad. The portion size, appearance, and quality control all suffer. We started with the cinnamon roll, which was cold, the center appeared to be frozen, the liquid frosting was also ice cold. Then the Cuban sandwich, it appeared to be run over by a truck. It's contents also minimal, a tiny piece of deli ham, cheese, a pickle, and pork belly. It was incredibly sad to look at, and taste. We dine here over and over, hoping the food will improve, and it's always a disappointment, such an easy fix, but they just do not invest the time into the one area that could place Ocean 50 as the top dining experience in Delray Beach.

Another fun afternoon on the second floor patio having drinks and snacks with friends. Mark was our server again. He is the best! Friendly and attentive. The fruit plate has good sized portions. My friend enjoyed her aperol spritz. My other friend ordered the apple crumble à la mode and loved it.

Everything was great for Thanksgiving except they told me we would have a regular menu and it was just a special menu for the Thanksgiving but overall the food was wonderful. Service was wonderful. That was my only disappointment. read more

Went to celebrate our anniversary, had done so before. However, this was a total let down. Only the hostess acknowledged it was our anniversary. We ordered our drinks and the charcuterie platter. Drinks were great, charcuterie platter ($32) was terrible. Stale crackers, 3 pieces of "Provolone ", 1 pice of Brie, 1 piece of "Manchego". A ramekin with undefinable tomato based item supposedly sausage (felt like leftover spicy pasta sauce), very spicy cappicola, a clump of prosciutto. Ordered our dinner my husband couldn't eat his Mahi as it was fishy. My lamb was ok. We skipped the dessert and went home. Too much staff for a somewhat quiet evening. One of the guests 2 tables down was loud enough to disturb everyone else with his conversation. Price didn't equal value. read more

Hidden away, but with a nice view of the ocean. I had to ask 2 different people how to get to the door of this upstairs restaurant! Parking was a bit of a problem. The restaurant in the courtyard below had pretty loud music which didn't really compliment our mood. But we enjoyed being outside. But once we got settled, we had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Our waitress even brought us complimentary champagne. I had the Grouper. So good, flaky and light. I especially enjoyed the crab on top. Hubby had the lamb chops. Not something he usually orders, but truly enjoyed. They were cooked to perfection. For dessert, the beignets--just right amount of sweetness and texture to finish off the meal. read more

We went to the restaurant for the first time with friends. The view is fantastic, one that can't be beat in Delray Beach. It was a Sunday evening so that may have had something to do with the fact there weren't many customers but that made us a bit sad. The scallops also had too much balsamic vinegar which in our opinion ruined two of the dishes. I want this restaurant to succeed so please give them a try. I understand they're under new management and we need them. read more

AWFUL MANAGEMENT. Made a reservation for February 13th because Valentine's Day, the 14th was on a Monday. I made these reservations OVER A WEEK PRIOR through Open Table Because god forbid you actually call the restaurant and speak to a human being to make a reservation. They sent me an email to confirm, they sent me a text message to confirm & then the day of they call me 3 HOURS before our reservation to let us know they wouldn't be open... What I am sure is understood is how difficult it is to get a reservation for Valentine's Day, especially the day before. And of course 50 Ocean didn't have anything available... not even emergency seating. Something that a "highly rated" restaurant should have. The manager was so incredibly rude. Telling us that we should've known better, that they are only open for brunch on Sundays. Then why was there an option for me to make a reservation at a later time? That's not my problem, that's on your end. I was told by the manager he would give me a call back. It's March 2nd I still haven't heard from them. They could've at least invited us back the next weekend and given us 15-20% off of our meal for screwing our entire Valentine's Day but you know, customer service doesn't exist in this world anymore. Never going back here ever again. Absolute trash. read more

The location is excellent over looking the ocean. The waitress was excellent. The food sucked in my opinion. I had the lamb. It was covered in supposedly eggplant, but tasted like salsa, and then it had mustard bread crumb on top. There was so many sauces and different flavors that in my opinion, didn't go well together. It tasted horrible. And then the polenta was lumpy tasting and tasted like half puréed turnip. My friends had Caesar salad with grilled chicken and they said the chicken tasted weird. There was also a brussels sprout and cauliflower appetizer and the cauliflower tasted like it was vinegary. Tasted like there was something wrong with it. and I am not a picky eater in the slightest a never write reviews. this is a pretty pricey menu and for the cost the meals should be much better. I will go never go back. read more

The views along the window are spectacular, so I'd make a reservation and request one. For those that don't know, 50 ocean is atop of Boston's. Last night I had the Flavor Palm Beach menu, so I had three courses. I was not at all impressed with the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp didn't taste fresh and was served on top of "lemon granita" but it melted so fast that it just left a sticky goop. I had the catch of the day, blackened snapper. I enjoyed it. For dessert I had a key lime tart which I also enjoyed. My mom had filled beignets that i'd also recommend. read more

I set up a reservation for 10 - remotely from Nebraska without knowing much about the restaurant. We had a large family gathering and needed a great place to accommodate so many. We were seated right away - with an amazing view. The service was wonderful, the food was equally as good. We even had a full moon right over the ocean. The steaks were cooked perfectly, great mashed potatoes with broccoli. The crab cake was delicious. Great experience, reasonable price on the ocean. I went to this place with a party of ~30. I had the lobster bisque, it had great flavor but was not at all generous on the lobster. It was great to eat with bread. We ate numerous finger appetizers with steak on toast is my favorite, all were good bite-size eating. I had the main dish of grouper. My dessert was a molten chocolate cake. It was made with a delicious chocolate moist cake and was a good way to top the meal off. Gorgeous view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and attentive but not disruptive. Not cheap but nothing in this area is. read more

I had heard about 50 Ocean for a while now and wanted to discover what their brunch was all about. I was not disappointed. If you haven't been there, it's located above Boston's On the Beach on A1A in Delray Beach... across from the Atlantic Ocean. So for starters, great ocean view, very classy interior with a bar island, a leather-sofa lounge area for waiting parties, indoor and outdoor seating, and a "wine cellar". Between location and interior set-up, they have that going for them. For my first brunch there, I enjoyed some yummy Cookies and Cream French Toast with a side of chocolate bacon... Because bacon. I took advantage of their bottomless mimosas... because why the hell not? The server was uber-friendly and accommodating. He was served our brunch party well, and everyone had a great time due to his attention and courtesy. Outside of brunch, I have not had not lunch or dinner there yet. But having seen their menu, I would speculate that if you were to have dinner there, it's going to be great to bring a date or significant other for sure. Additionally, I have to experience their happy hour. Good first impression for sure. Will return to experience more. read more

We had a fabulous brunch here. I have been here for dinner a few times but nothing beats the view here during the daytime. Service was wonderful... Gloria took great care of us. I ordered the bottomless mimosas and it was a challenge to get to the bottom because Gloria was always nearby for a top off. The lobster Benedict was divine. I first came to 50 Ocean for their brunch back in September and it was a pretty solid experience - service was good, the food was really good and of course the view of the ocean is a plus. So, given my first experience I was hoping for the same when I booked my mom's birthday brunch here. Unfortunately, brunch earlier today was like I was dining in a completely different restaurant - and not one I'd return to. First, the waiter we had was either new, clueless or being over worked. Our food took over an hour and a half to come out and I really became bothered when I saw a table near us get their food before us after we had already been there a good 30 mins before them. So, when the food did come out, my dish (eggs benedict) the eggs were over hard instead of poached. My guess is the waiter took the wrong notes since another person in our party had asked for eggs over hard. Also, my husband said his burger was more like a hockey puck than a burger. As for the drinks, I ordered the bottomless mimosa, and I hate to be "that" person but if someone orders this, the wait staff should be a little bit more receptive and keep things flowing (this was not the case here). In addition, we were not the only table that seemed to be having issues with our meals. A table over had their own complaints and ended up with the manager comping their meal. In the end, we ended up getting a discount on our check but it still didn't take out the sting of the occasion being one I was hoping would be a pleasant one. Not sure how this place went so downhill in just a few months but I definitely own't be back. read more

He tells us we have 2 hours so we have to hurry. Look, I live down the block from Le Sorrelle. I pass it night after night, and yes, it's has its nights where it is party central. People love to host family events there. But most of the time, this place is sorely wanting for business. And while perhaps Le Sorrelle did fill up after we left, there was plenty of seating when we did slip out, well in advance of our 2-hour limit. As for the food -- I can only speak to what I ordered. A Caesar salad and Pizza Margherita. Both were awful. And I'm really not just saying that because of the restaurant experience that night. I previously had pizza at Le Sorrelle (albeit, years ago now) and it was quite good. Perhaps the cheese pizza would have been. As for a good Caesar salad, run, don't walk to Segreto Italia. Actually, just go to Segreto Italia, because Chris, Joey and Chip will treat you like gold and you'll have an overall outstanding experience.

I'll start off by saying that we're frequent customers at Boston's on the beach. This was our second visit to the upstairs restaurant "50 ocean". The food at 50 ocean is good , the views are amazing.....the service and competency is so so and that's why we gave a low rating. I believe a lot of our issues had to do with a new server being improperly trained. We were seated and immediately greeted by our server as expected. We then ordered some drinks and everything was going great. The downfall started when little things started going wrong. The bread was delivered to our table after 30 min. (Just before our entree!). No big deal just improper etiquette for a restaurant. Our food arrived it was very good, no complaints about the quality or value. But then it got worse. We ordered some desserts and coffee as well as cappuccino. The waitress came back after 10 min to inform us that the cappuccino machine was broken. Again, not a big deal. Until our bill came...... The bill came and we were still billed for cappuccino $5+tax. I kindly notified our server and she said she would fix it. Well, 15 min later we received a modified bill and we signed off. I handed her my loyalty card aka board riders card and she wouldn't accept it. She said that since we used a promotional dining coupon we couldn't use a loyalty card. Perplexed I asked her how one thing had to do with the other. Loyalty cards aren't coupons or discounts, they are loyalty cards plain and simple. And so she now went back to management, asked and said "ok, I got approval for your card to be used". So now we wasted 30 min due to server negligence on the bill and the loyalty card. We go downstairs to pay for valet parking and the attendant says we were there for 3 hours and 10 minutes. I explained that we were done and ready to leave 30 min ago but our server made a billing error hence delaying us. The valet response was " you're over 3 hours. It's $13. Cash only. ". The cost of valet now goes from $8 to $13. We had two separate cars so an extra $10 total. It's not about the money, it's about the injustice. This was outright wrong, unethical and not the way to treat a local client who frequents their establishments at least 8-12 times a year. The restaurant made errors and cost us time which had repercussions and cost us money. Totally unreasonable to make a client pay for extra parking time due to their error. So we paid the $30 total for two cars (13+tip) and left irate and very disappointed at 50 ocean. I called management from the car and spoke to jared (manager that evening). He was very accommodating and said to see him next time I'm in. Thankfully he will do something to make up for this. As a local business owner myself I know how important it is to be fair and understanding with clients. The experience we had was upsetting. Especially after spending just under $300 on dinner. At least jared saved the day to the best of his ability. Overall, we will go back to 50 ocean. But I can assure you we will ask for Jared before we sit down! read more

THE PLACE HAS TAKEN A HUGE DIVE We have been going to 50 Ocean for many years and it has been one of our favorite places. However, with a new chef and a new menu, things have changed drastically for the worst. The food taste and quality control are non existent. Lobster bisque Is now half the size that it used to be. All of them came to the table cold and had to be reheated. Most of them were completely missing the lobster and they had to bring the lobster on the side. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE FOR THIS RESTAURANT. Lobster roll Lacked any kind of flavor. Again the portion was less than before. Mussels Very bland. The portion again was half the size as before. Caesar with shrimps The shrimps were over cooked. The caesar dressing was disgusting. Since we have been to 50 Ocean so many times we know the food and definitely they are cutting corners which is affect8ng the taste of the food and the quality control. Came in for a Saturday night with a reservation for 16 people. The place was crazy busy and the times were mixed up on the reservation. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us as quickly as possible even though the group in our space was taking their time on a crowded Saturday night. They were able to turn the space over in a flash and we were seated quickly. The staff was right there to take drink orders as we were being seated. A wonderful time was had by all as warm bread was brought right over and food orders were taken. Everyone loved thier food but it was that double stuffed lobster roll that stole the show. It was massive and there was enough to pass it around the table so most people got a sample and I was still left with a hefty sandwich to finish. we brought in our own cake for the birthday girl and the staff handled that perfectly as it was plated right up after the ceremony. 50 Ocean has reopened with a gorgeous new look -- lighter, brighter, and perfectly beachy. The updated space is stunning, and the unobstructed ocean views alone make it worth visiting. However, the service fell short. We went for happy hour and were seated at a high-top in the bar area, but no one came over to take our order, despite the restaurant being almost empty. We eventually moved to the bar, where the bartender helped us, but she seemed unsure about basic mixers and what was available. Overall, we felt overlooked. The ambiance is truly beautiful, but the service still needs some attention. With a little more consistency, this could be an incredible spot. read more

Amazing second floor view from new floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Delray Beach, Literally. I caught them two days, and four days after opening and both times were outstanding. The new Bostons is on the first floor with the bands and sports theme, but the 50 Ocean, (the old location of the 'Upperdeck') is totally new and impressive. It has become the defacto place to dine with out of town-ers, and anyone you want to impress with both location and quality of food. Did I mention the service, never intrusive but always on time.
