Ill start out by saying I got this on lunch via delivery so I will take that into account of my review. The pizza was solid it wasnt bad but just wasnt all that great either in my opinion just was a regular slice of pepperoni pizza that was ok with the ground beef on top. I think maybe if I pick up myself it could be hotter and I could get a better gauge. The garlic knots were probably the star of my order pretty good size with some fresh garlic sauce on them. Would definitely order them again. I think ill have to stop in or pick up the order myself next time. read more

I asked the lady repeatedly if they had any meat pizzas and she kept telling me she had a large one topping so I ordered a pizza with two toppings as soon as I hung up, I looked up and they had a meat lovers pizza. I called right back and it was cheaper than the three topping large by several dollars. She changed the order and hung up on me so you better know what you're looking for before you call!!! Service was exceptional as was the food. Ordered a Chef salad with chicken and the dish did not disappoint And the best garlic knots ever. Back to the salad: grilled chicken,two eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, olives, ham and peppers. Chefs Kiss on the display and taste! Enough for 2 but I ate it all. 2/23/26. 3:00pm I was waiting on brenda to take my order while she was talking to a customer but I got here at 2:59/3pm to see if I can still get special that happens from 11am -3pm but she took my order at 3:08 and informed me I can get the deal it's after 3pm . The outdoor sign says NY-style pizza. But that isn't specific enough. If you're looking for thin crust, balanced sauce and cheese, then this isn't it. If you're looking for big slice, football pizza then you're where you need to be. Personally I'm not a fan of the big slice. That's a commitment I can't make most days. Recently I found myself wanting to find something a bit off of the beaten path for lunch. I had heard about 500 degrees years ago but had never really ventured down South Boulevard to find it. I decided to remedy that and came in around lunchtime on a Monday. They are tucked away in an unassuming shopping center, and the set up is relatively simple. They have counter service where you order and a small dining room with a few tables set aside. When I went in they had a decent little crowd and I was quite hungry so I decided to order a slice of cheese along with a chicken parm sub. That's right you can order by the slice here! Unfortunately that seems to be rare nowadays. Their slices are large. Not quite the size of somewhere like Benny Pennello's, but still a very big slice! They didn't skimp on the cheese and while it was a little soggy that is mostly my fault for taking it home to eat. The chicken parm sub was delicious, the perfect size for lunch with generous portions of all white chicken breast that was breaded quite nicely. With all the new "fancy" pizza places open that try to reinvent the wheel, it is nice to have an old school pizza joint nearby where you can get a fresh toasted sun, or a warm slice of cheesy goodness. read more

We were in town for the Buffalo Bills versus Carolina Panthers game. Our group of 12 ordered several large pizzas, (pepperoni, sausage, cheese). The pizza was cooked to perfection and reminded me of the pizza I loved when I lived in the Buffalo area. We also got cannolis, which were perfect! I can order for my girlfriend at every restaurant we visit. When she says she wants pizza, I know what she really wants is a calzone with ham and pineapple. I don't care for the combo myself, but she's consistent. This was the best calzone either of us has ever had. The best. The crust was cooked to perfection -- toasted to just the right degree to have a bit if crunch brown, a little pull to the dough, perfectly salty, dusted with Parmesan. The ricotta tasted so fresh! And the amounts of mozzarella and ricotta were perfectly balanced. In fact, I loved it so much that I forgot to dip it in the marinara sauce! I can't imagine what I missed out on! We also ordered tiramisu. The espresso used to dip the lady fingers in was amazing. We'll be back to Charlotte three more times in the next six weeks! Guess we know where we'll be eating! read more

So this is a quick take out place but they do have inside seating if you wanted to sit and eat. We normally always just get take out. The pizza is good but I normally get the chicken parm. The pizza slices are pretty big. Decent portion. The salad is decent too. The service is fast, and I would say it's comparable to papa John. They do have their own parking because they share it with other stores. Not the best location because it's south Blvd but everytime I go, it's always busy. Only reason I give it a 3 star, it's not my go to place. But it's a good option over Cesar if you want more higher end pizza. read more

500 Degrees used to be one of my favorite pizza spots in the city. It was top 3 for a long time. But they've seem to fallen off over the last few years. This last pizza was the worst pizza I've ever had in my life....from anywhere. They put way too much sauce and cheese. The whole thing was soggy. It tasted disgusting. This place doesn't look like much when you pass it and it's pretty easy to miss. It's right on the corner of a shopping complex off South Blvd. You would miss it if you didn't know it was there. They sell pasta, pizza by the slice, desserts, and garlic knots. The slices are pretty good depending on when you get them. They are not always the most fresh, sometimes if you customize the order, they can make it fresh. I do enjoy the pizza fresh or not. The desserts are also good. I have tried the cannoli and tiramisu. I do not recommend the garlic knots. They are hard. They are also not very flavorful. I'd love to try the pasta sometime! The staff isn't overly friendly. Nothing special to report there. There is not usually too much of a wait. read more

Walked right in, greeted with a friendly personality. Have 2 lunch specials under $10.00. I ordered the 1 slice/ salad/ and drink for $8 and some change. The pizza crust was perfect and the sauce was excellent as well. I was expecting a small salad but received a huge one and could only eat half. Restrooms were extremely clean which was wonderful but you do have to ask for it to be unlocked. It's worth the trade off for me. Over all the place, food, and ambience was awesome. We got a Groupon and I was excited to check this place out. I ended up being pretty disappointed though. We started out with an order of garlic knots. Those were amazing. They were warm, doughy, and as you would expect, garlicky. We split a medium pizza that was half buffalo chicken, half combo with pepperoni, banana peppers, pineapple, and red onions. The combo part of the pizza was pretty bland. I don't think they used fresh ingredients because the pineapple was white and none of the toppings had flavor. The buffalo chicken had more flavor from the hot sauce, but it was nothing special. The crust was crunchy and flavorless. They have a good lunch special--two pieces of cheese pizza and a drink for $5. This tasted nothing like NY pizza. I'd rather go elsewhere to get better pizza personally. read more

My team went here yesterday for a work lunch. Small little hole in the wall on the south end. The only thing we got was a large cheese pizza. Let me tell you this pizza was amazing! This is the best pizza I've had in Charlotte, and i am a Charlotte native. I've tried their bbq chicken pizza (which is easily my favorite), I've also tried their Buffalo chicken pizza, pepperoni and sausage pizza, and their bbq and Buffalo wings. The pizza is New York style meaning the slices are fairly thin but huge. The pizza is just so flavorful, and has the right amount of crisp. Also, dare i say, the pizza is better the second day for leftovers lol. I will say that since the very first time i went up until now the price has gone up noticeably. A medium pizza is now $20.50 which to me is high. With that being said they do have Groupon specials that help with the cost, so definitely check it out before paying full price. read more
