It took us a long time to make decisions so we were not able to use the bathroom for about 6 months. Juan's team worked over a period of 2-3 weeks, and did their work quickly. Juan was communicative, reliable, and did what he said he would do. His pricing was very competitive and fair. He recommended that we work with ProSource Austin for tile selection and John M. helped us with the tile, grout, and other items needed to complete the tile project. With every bathroom remodel, there are always surprises but I think Juan helped us through anything that came up. They helped us fix a builder error with the bathtub. His team did all the demo, tile work, and installation of the baseboards. Juan also arranged for plumbers, someone to create a quartz shower bench topper, and a glass company for the shower door. We did hire a painter and drywall repair company on our own but only because they were able to do it while handling another project for us. We are pleased with the work - the photos are not of the finished bathroom because we are still waiting on the delivery of a vanity cabinet from a vendor and then will finally be done. We didn't remodel the entire room as the cost of granite, new cabinets, electrical work, and fixtures is pretty sky high, so this was like a 1/2 remodel. The tile is beautiful and we are very happy to have our bathroom back! I will try to remember to come back and update photos whenever we can finally get our vanity installed. I did much of the work myself (design, framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC), but I knew the tile work was way beyond my capabilities--curbless steam shower, heated tile flooring, marble pencil trim and skirting. I chose JA Tile based on a strong recommendation from a trusted friend who has done multiple renovation projects in Austin. I'm very happy with the decision and completely pleased with the outcome. Juan, Giovanni, and Ivan were very easy to work with. Juan is a good communicator and very prompt and reliable--exemplary professionalism. Giovanni and Ivan did most of the work, and are true craftsmen. Our GC was impressed with the quality of their work (they also didn't ding the newly painted walls or sideboards) and especially impressive was that I was able to book with Catarino in August, he sent me to his supplier to get the carpet selected and purchased, then we moved to NY in October, and the supplier warehoused our carpet for free until January when the house was finally ready for the flooring work. I gave Catarino 2 wks heads up on the timing, and his team made it happen, seamlessly without any hiccups, and even touched up an extra spot on the lvp that the GC had found, that wasn't in the original scope of work. I worked with Cody Dorris for some flooring I ordered over $5500.00 worth of product…read more Before ordering I was told the items would arrive the next day if ordered before 3PM. So, it was ordered in the early AM well the next day nothing, the 2nd day nothing. Finally, the order came in and moved to the install location. Boxes were inspected and damaged items came from the warehouse. The warehouse just taped up the boxes and sent them out anyway with damaged product. To top that all off the Pflugerville office would only refund a complete box and not the individual planks (yes, the charged me for damaged product) As far as Cody Dorris, seemed like he would say (lie) anything to make the sale. Also, the order was not delivered 100% 18 days later still no answer form the warehouse as to the remaining order, nor will they refund the for the late product. NOTE make sure you order what you need and not over order, they do not refund the returns. This is not my go-to store, I found better service and product elsewhere.
