I added two stars because after two years 50 floors finally corrected the atrocious original flooring and stair job. They had a different crew of guys come in and fix the issues installing new floors in the entire home. The mistakes should not have taken this long to correct, but the individual who stepped in and took care of the problems I applaud. The new crew headed by Christian go the job done quickly and correct. He took the time to ask several times about how we liked the floors and stairs. He took pride in his work. This crew also had the right tools for the job. Will update with photos later. Notes: The customer service line needs to be directed to in-house staff instead of a third-party. I do not recommend 50 Flooring! Two years after installing my new floor over my old floor, instead of removing to old flooring, and the floor is already cracking. I did everything we were told to protect the floor and only used laminate cleaner instead of water. I guess the reason they were a little cheaper is cheaper materials? I have made three follow calls and still no response. Look elsewhere! read more

I wouldn't recommend due to a couple of reasons. Our loft cost $3,000 and the driver/truck called me an hour before the installation and cancelled. It was scheduled for a Saturday and then rescheduled for the next Wednesday, so, needless to say, the cancellation complicated our work week and ruined a good Saturday. The corporate office is located in Georgia and I expressed my displeasure when they did a follow up call. I was told a manager would call me back. That never happened. At 3k for 400sq feet of carpet, you can do better. Although the carpet is nice, I wouldn't recommend. read more

I just had my flooring installed this week and boy was the install experience way different than the sales experience. The carpet installers were great and we are happy with it. For the hardwood flooring we replaced our hardwoods with LVP and changed the color. We were sold refinishing of our wood steps to match the new LVP. When the installer arrived he said he could only refinish the part of the step that you step on, not the wood molding that goes around each step. He said I would have to buy new trim and stain to match and do it myself. What? How does this make sense? I get two tone steps? The contractor talked to someone and they agreed they would buy the trim and stain and install. Their ability to "match the stain onsite" per the salesman was way off. This is a challenge because only the owner speaks English fairly well and he was only here the first day. After that it was young Hispanics that would just smile when you had a question. After several tries they found a stain that matches the LVP close enough, except on the newly installed trim. They say it is the same stain as the treads, my eyes and pictures say different. They got stain all over the white trim going up besides the steps. When I asked them about cleaning it off I was told it would just wipe off, guess that is for me to do as well. I purchased almost 4,000 square feet of flooring at a cost of a new car and these are the results I get. Tommy McCrary is a used car salesman at best. With these issues I reached out to him to see who I should contact with issues because Rosalind Woody Operations Associate would not respond to my emails or text and Tommy ghosted me as well. Carpet was great, but avoid Tommy and them refinishing any wood. I had heard bad things about Empire, but they may be better than 50Floor. Be careful where you spend your money. read more

50 Floor installed LVP flooring in my home. The subcontracted installers rushed through the installation and did not properly remove previous hardwood flooring so the floor was uneven and planks buckled. 50 floor did not want to redo the floor so they tried "patchwork" fixes. After 6 service calls (and my husband being diagnosed with terminal cancer), I gave up. I contacted the Nashville office a year later as the planks were now cracking and was given the run-a-round for months. A 50 floor service man came out and stated "the floor was not installed properly and will have to come up". 50 floor offered to replace the floor for material and labor at "cost". I don't believe that offer is reasonable. I paid for a "quality" floor which was never delivered. They did not do what needed to be done while under warranty. read more

The quality of the workmanship is always good. Only way it would be better is if the crews sent someone who spoke good, clear english and understands english. 3rd time customer here. past two went off without a hitch. Communication was great maybe excessive but now nonexistence. I miss Tori calling every few days. They apparently are under new management. Install manager Jacob rescheduled our carpet for a different day without notifying the customer but they are unwilling to do anything for the inconvience. And I am continually ghosted from Jacob as well as the outside salesman. Alot of money spent with no action on 50 floor part. Workmanship is great but go elsewhere. 50 Floor did a wonderful job installing LVP throughout my home. The sales rep was very respectful, knowledgeable, and helpful. The workers were timely and efficient. My only issue is there were several knicks where the workers struck the walls with the flooring. Instead of pointing them out, they covered them with furniture. In the living room, they actually tried to paint over it with some paint they found in my garage that did not match the wall. My appointment was scheduled for three days. It took them 1.5. Final Update: On May the 12th, we received a call stating that our replacement flooring was being cut and trimmed to size and that an installer would be coming by on Saturday, May 19th between 0900 and 1100 to fix the described issues as stated below. A very nice and respectful gentleman was at the house, bright and early ready to work. Surprisingly, he spoke only Portuguese and I speak Castilian which is similar but also very different; but he was prepared with a Google translator to ask questions and answer any we might have had. He was quick, efficient and stayed on task the entire time, a pleasure to have in our home. Now that the contract has been fulfilled, we are just glad to have this behind us. Update: We were called yesterday (05May2021) we were told that "a manager" would be by to check out the floor issues. As of today, at 1345 hours, have received no call or response from said manager. This is getting frustrating. Try buying something that costs thousands of dollars and have the company blow you off once they get paid when an issue arises 2 hours after completion. Additionally, we did receive an altered canned response to our review like I thought we would. First and foremost, I would like to say that our experience with 50 Floor began very well. Duaine Staggs came to our home and evaluated what we would like to install vs what should be installed. He was very knowledgeable and didn't pressure any purchase while giving us price points on all products available, great employee to have. The product did take some time to be ready and cut. The appointment was made for Saturday, May 1st at 0800 which was perfect; no time had to be taken from work and we were ready. On Saturday, we moved all the vehicles from the driveway to make it easier for the installers to get to and from the house, sat down, had breakfast and coffee and were ready by 0750. The time specified came and went. At about 0945, my wife called 50 floor to ask if they were having trouble finding the address, we have had this happen in the past due to a new subdivision and maps aren't readily updated yet. Cory begins to tell us that his installer had a personal issue and didn't show up that day. We received no phone call prior and honestly, don't really care about the personal issues of an employee. What we do care about is the thousands of dollars spent and the general apathy of the situation. I asked Cory if he could go ahead and cancel our order due to the contract not being fulfilled as required. Cory apologized and said that it was indeed possible to cancel and have monies returned or he could have another installer come on Monday the 3rd of May and complete the install around the 9 o'clock hour. I asked my wife and she agreed. Now, we would have lost time and income but the project would be complete. A call is received at 0853 saying that the installer will be there around 1030ish, guess at this point it doesn't matter because the entire day had to be taken off. Anyway, so the installers come, a few bang bang bangs, a couple of chunka chunkas and they were complete. The entire thing took about 6 hours and looks amazing, the quality of the product is great and feels awesome underfoot. Upon inspecting the installation of the upstairs catwalk, there are several gaps wide enough you could drop a nickel through and even a portion the now creaks that didn't before. I notified customer service on the 3rd about 2 hours after the installers left, was told that someone would reach out, nobody did and I took it upon myself to call back on the 4th around 1000. They asked me to take pictures and send them, which I did. Today, we've heard nothing back from anyone. In my line of work, Quality is a huge issue and customer satisfaction is king, some just don't seem to understand that business model and most of the reviews posted here get a canned response. read more

50 FLOOR STOLE $12,000 FROM MY MOM (UPDATED) 50 Floor convinced my mom to give them a $12,000 check for a deposit with the assurance that she had a three-day grace period to cancel if she changed her mind. She decided the price wasn't competitive, and texted the salesman the very next day, saying she wanted to cancel. 50 Floor completely ignored her and cashed the check anyway. They took $12,000 out of the account of a senior citizen who told them --unambiguously, and in writing -- that she did not want their service. Three weeks later, and no refund has been issued. I don't know what else to say. These people stole $12,000 from my mom. Avoid like the plague. UPDATE: 50 Floor's representative reached out to me and I spoke with her privately. She didn't dispute any of the details above. She told me she was sorry if I "felt" that 50 Floor had stolen my mother's money. She said that, although my mom told the sales representative, in writing, that she wanted to cancel the order, her deposit check was cashed anyway -- because she didn't sign 50 Floor's special cancellation form. To be clear, no one from 50 Floor reached out to my mom at any time after she indicated that she wanted to cancel the order to inform her she needed to sign a form to complete her request. In fact, they cashed the check the day AFTER she told them she wanted to cancel, and before the three-day grace period had ended. The representative told me the refund wasn't processed until June 2nd -- nineteen full days after the money was taken without authorization. She told me it would be a further 7-10 business days before my mom would receive the refund. I asked why the check was deposited during the three-day grace period. I asked why the money was taken after she indicated to the salesman she wanted to cancel. I asked why it took nearly three weeks to initiate a refund. The representative told me she could answer these questions for me... but only over the phone. I told her I'd prefer to keep it in email so there would be a written record of what was said. 24 hours later, no response. And 50 Floor still hasn't given my mom her money back. read more

Disappointed for sure! The salesman was great. My problem is the install. I have a 1150 square foot home and I had the whole house done in a dark LVP my only issue is the install team couldn't take 2 seconds to see that when they were laying the floor in my small hallway bath that it was way lighter than the rest of my floors. Contacted the customer service and the manager was supposed to come out and take a look when they had to come back and install a stair piece. Well he was a no show and the pictures I sent they were trying to tell me it is a "lighting" issue. NO!!!!! The plank is LIGHTER not the lights in the hall or bath room. Now I have to live for the rest of my life seeing the difference in flooring after paying $12,000. Will not be recommending anyone to use them. read more

I have never been so angry at company in my entire life!!!!!!! My husband and I had hired 50floor to come out and refloor our entire forever home in Smyrna, TN. We spent 25,000.00 to have the house done and the jobs was beautifully done. I did have to move a lot of furniture myself without help do to my husband being a disabled war veteran, which I was okay with that. It was scheduled for 4 days of work, they had it done in 3 days. The person that was over the job had to order a piece of quarter round to go at the bottom of my staircase. I waited a couple weeks no one called about the quarter round and found the piece was never ordered nor was the scheduled appointment acknowledge. So, I scheduled an appointment for that Saturday morning. I was up at 0600 waiting for that piece to be installed, guess what no one showed up for that appointment so first thing Monday morning there was another phone call to the office to see what happen to our appointment on Saturday (we couldn't get straight answer what happened) so we set another appointment and they did come to fix the issue with the quarter round. Now this is where the BIG ISSUE is with the seasons changing, we had our AC person come out to do a check up on our system like always, matter of fact we just put 5,000.00 dollar worth of new duct work at the end of last year. The AC guys went under the house like always and then came in and walked to every room of the house and pulled up the registers out of the floor to look down inside, that's when the large shards of wood and carpet debris down inside of our air vets were found. We sent them bill for 979.00 and the number of ProAir Solutions to have our air ducts shaken out, that's when I we got a very nasty, and rude call from the Nashville office that they would give me 400.00 and I was to deal with the rest of the bill. Our sales guy was great and set us up to have all of our downstairs floors redone in one day! Unfortunately, that's where the good ended and the nightmare began. The installers arrived and only one spoke a few words of English, he was very hard to understand I really wish someone could have told me that so I could have a Spanish speaker near by. It was so very hard to communicate when they had questions, and there were many. The floors began to buckle shortly after installation and they waited more than a week to send a team out to fix them, so of course they started buckling in MORE places. 7 in total. Once that team left, the floors were even WORSE than when they started! My husband couldn't understand the workers to know what the problem was or what were supposed to do next. I tried to chat with customer service who said to call, then I called and I was told they couldn't help so they tried to reach my customer service rep. but she was no where to be found. So, now I'm sitting here waiting for them to call me back still having NO idea how to actually get these awful floors fixed. Trying to get their mistakes fixed has taken so much of my time and our buckled floors makes our home look neglected and cheap. I'm embarrassed to invite people over to our home and have to explain what is wrong with our floors when people nearly trip over the big bulges in the LVP flooring. Customer service is the worst. I had flooring installed in the living room and bathroom. After the installation I found that for the transition piece, a nail was not completely nailed in and I almost cut my foot on the nail. I then tried to close my bathroom door and I couldn't because the transition piece was too high. I have a piece of flooring around my fireplace which did not get any pieces applied so it looks unfinished. I called to inform them of the issues but I was willing to wait for the repairs. I wanted some additional flooring installed in kitchen and my second bathroom. The guys came to install the kitchen floor and English was not theit first language and we could not understand each other. From what I could gather the installer did not have the correct flooring to install in bathroom. The manager came to my house to see what flooring I had installed. He verified that the flooring was indeed not installed. He said he would contact me via email. Three weeks later no contact. So I called again today to request a refund for the flooring that I paid for to be installed in the bathroom. i spoke to Jim who proceeded to tell me that I was trying to get a free installation. How can I have a free installation when I paid for services I didn't receive? The quality of the floors I am satisfied but the customer service is the worst. Total ripoff. They were one of three bids. They advertised 60% off. In reality, they quoted double the price of their closest competitor, which after the "discount", still left them 25% higher than the next highest bid. Terrible experience. The quarter round they installed is an absolute mess. Some pieces were cut too long and other pieces were cut too short, creating gaps all over that they filled with putty creating a bigger unappealing mess. I wish we never used them. I see other people with better experiences on here so I'm guessing I just got some of the more unprofessional installers. I also have some lite damage to my living room wall that I will have to patch and repaint myself. read more

I can't believe people pay their high inflated prices. I had gotten another estimate to install hardwood for a 220 square foot bedroom. The old flooring was to be torn out then unfinished wood laid , sanded then two coats of clear polyurethane. The estimate from another individual small business quoted about 1600.00 with the Wood. I called 50 floors for another estimate because they offered free installation, but was in shock when they quoted over 5400.00! The two gentlemen that came out were very nice and professional but there is no way I would pay that much for a bedroom to have hardwood put down. read more

(they used different people) Seems they don't tighten or pull it tight (use lay it down and staple) and now, I'll have to have someone else come to try and repair. If I could rate them a zero I would. Bad experience in terms of not having enough transition to complete the job. No courtesy call before showing up. Installers were sub-contractors, not employees. Job wasn't finished and hubby talked to Brian (General Manager) who wouldn't answer questions,about the completion of the installation, but threatened to send us to collection if we didn't pa and complained about the call interrupting his dinner. We paid CASH for our floors and installation, so what is he talking about???? Horrible service. Still waiting for the transition to come in so they can complete the job. I will never use them again. Unprofessional. The General Manager is an idiot and the only person who seemed to understand our plight was the installer. He understood we were questioning the completion of the installation, SINCE THE JOB HAS YET TO BE COMPLETED AND WE WERE TOLD IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE 2 DAYS. Had the proper measurements been submitted, perhaps we would have the transition and wouldn't have to wait for it to come in and take another day out of my schedule for them to install it. read more

I was hesitant on even doing this, but my 20 year+ carpet after 4 dogs was on it's last thread. The moving of furniture and whole process scared me (I don't like to move). I sent an online message and in just a few hours had a call to schedule the estimate. The salesman came the next day and looked at the 4 rooms and saw what I had and gave me some suggestions and actually recommended the less expensive (more durable in the long term). I was concerned with the price, but then got 2 other estimates, but they didn't include EVERYTHING (removal of carpet, molding, clean-up, labor); they were only for the product. Once I figured that all in the price made much more sense (the others were like buying a car without tires). Once I accepted the contract the installers called me and scheduled that the next week. They called the day before to remind me of what I should move and showed up the next day ON TIME. Four rooms, carpet removed, floor prepped, furniture moved, laminate installed, furniture moved back and things cleaned up in about 8 hours (they took maybe a 15 minute lunch break). I am beyond pleased with the product and the service and highly recommend them. I just with I hadn't waited this long. read more

I had porcelain floors put in, the installation was a nightmare. I have grout coming up, I have planks that are popping, I have some holes in my wall paint on wall messed up, had painted one month before. I did not want to pay balance until one area I had found at the time fixed Patrick the GM I was told said he would get all problems fixed and would email me that. Well I paid no email numerous calls to Patrick, Kimberly, Jacob and others only had installers number text him he promised to come the Thursday before Christmas as Patrick had the Thursday before that no show. I have pictures to prove what I am talking about if I can upload. Has anyone had this problem and did it get solved. They have had over 123 complaints in less than 12 months according to BBB I have also contacted them but no response yet. read more

If I could give 0 stars, that would be my score for this sorry business. They are rude, they came to my house dirty, foul mouths on all the installers. The office staff isn't any better. I picked out an Egg Shell carpet, and they TRIED to install a beige carpet instead. That was 6 weeks ago... I still don't have any floor covering down!! Plywood and tack strip is what I have. I've tried to contact Terry, one of the owners, just to be put on hold for literal hours at a time. I'm now out $2400 dollars, and NOTHING to show for it!! read more

I am very pleased with the workers and the work of 50 Floors and the crew Hicham Benrbia. Hicham Benrbia and crew phoned and arrived very early. They were very professional and respectful. A star was deducted because of the home However, I wasn't as pleased with the contacting the home office with questions, as I was the workers and the actual work. The home office doesn't return calls to answer questions and follow through with dates and time for the job. You have to ask them about payment options and insist that they stick to what's advertised. I do hope this review will not be something I have to retract as long as I enjoy my new floor. read more
