Stopped by for dinner while in the area. The restaurant wasn't too busy, so we were able to be seated right away. We started off with the Brussels sprouts which were amazing. The sweet chili sauce on top was more sweet than spicy, but still had a great flavor. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip which was very rich. Definitely could have ordered an additional side of pita with how much dip there was. For the sandwich we ordered the short rib grilled cheese. For being called a grilled cheese, it wasn't as cheesy as I would have liked, but was tasty nonetheless! They also have pizzas and quite an extensive salad menu which we didn't try. Took my family out for a pre-Easter lunch at the Eastgate location. One of my friends has a serious dietary restriction and clearly requested no onions on his burger. Unfortunately, the double-stack burger he received was covered in smothered onions. He ended up discarding one of the patties entirely and tried to salvage what he could of the other. When the server noticed that he had only eaten part of his meal, she jokingly said, "You should've just ordered the single patty." Only then did she realize the kitchen had ignored the no-onion request--but instead of apologizing or offering to fix the order, she just laughed and walked away. Between the kitchen error and the lack of accountability from the staff, I can't recommend this location. The service and food quality left a lot to be desired. read more

Amazing service, environment and the food was really good! My daughter and I had lunch there twice and split the portions. We had the Bahi Mi Bird sandwich and cauliflower bites. The sandwich was a bit messy but was delicious! The second visit we had salmon avocado sandwich (open faced), cauliflower bites (sweet Thai) broccolini and stir fry vegetables. Have been working in the area for the last 4 weeks, more to come. Visited with my team n the 25th and 31st, GREAT EXPERIENCE. Kris at the bar was great, she waited on us at the table as well. The food came in a good pace, taste was outstanding . On the 31st most of the table, 8 of us,order Cheesecake,,,,GOOD decision. Started with the thai cauliflower which was so so good. Not spicy but flavorful and perfectly crispy. Cheese pizza had good quality cheese and a great flavor to the sauce. The Philly sandwich was good but nothing spectacular and had a spicy sauce on it just FYI. A few chewy pieces as well. Service was meh but got the job done. Nice decor. Tea selection was all caffeinated, and I asked for decaf or herbal, but waitress admitted selection needed to be replenished. And, please: Whatever happened to people WASHING lettuce and serving it cold? Our crispy Cobb salad toppings were tasty, but the limp frisée greens underneath them were NOT at all enticing. Excellent homemade ranch dressing, but where was the blue cheese and avocado and tomato that makes a Cobb Salad a Cobb Salad? The waitress was attentive but interrupted conversation every single time she approached the table. No pause by the table in a moment's silence so we could stop our conversation to give her our attention. She just blurted out words as she came in fast. The place was not busy, so she didn't need to rush to communicate. Wow this was so delicious! I had the French Kiss salad - I can't resist a salad with berries, goat cheese, and balsamic. It was really fresh and I added the grilled chicken. I was so impressed with the huge menu and many options for lunch. The hummus appetizer was huge and had tons of different veggies. Our waitress was super kind and helpful. After dropping her daughter off at swimming my wife and I decided we would have a short date night during her two hours of practice. Originally we were going to go to the Fox and hound but she needed a pop by old Navy and pick something up. $150 later.... The place had a good vibe to it and wasn't overly crowded and we were seated right away. there was some old church pews that they used for seats along the southern wall. Our server, Julie b, was on us like white on rice and I couldn't have been happier with her service. My wife and I got our drinks in short order and they told us of the specials. What are the specials I took advantage of was a hot chicken sandwich. I guess kind of like a Nashville hot sandwich.my wife got a pizza that was more mushroom than pizza if you're into that sort of thing LOL My sandwich came out and no lie the band appeared to be about a 4-inch bun but I had about 8 in of chicken on it and I had to cut it down just to be able to eat it like a normal human being. I didn't know they made chicken breast this big but it was a monster and it was delicious. Great portion of fries as well. My only feedback is I probably would have had the chicken drain a little bit more after it came out of the fryer. We walked in without a reservation, party of 2. We were told that there would be a wait. So we asked if we could sit at the bar which only had 3 or about 6-8 seats taken, so lots of availability. We were told no. The person at the front of the restaurant told us they couldn't seat anyone because it put too much pressure on the wait staff. Hard to tell but even the bartender was casually talking to the 3 people at the bar and didn't look busy. So we said we'd wait and sat down at a big unoccupied table. We figured if they can't take 2 people then certainly they won't seat a large party if one arrived. We were then told we could sit there because they needed to keep the table open if a big party arrived (not because there WAS a big party arriving but just in case). So they basically told us there was no room at the inn so we left. My family has been in the restaurant business and if you can't seat people then you put them at the bar so they can spend money on some drinks until you can seat them. Instead these people turned away business altogether, including another 2 people who arrived after us and the restaurant wasn't even that busy. Makes no sense and will not be returning. If they don't want our business I'm more than happy to spend my money elsewhere. Good luck with this customer service approach. Never seen anything like that. read more

This was definitely one of the coolest places I've been. Demarcus/Demarius (I'm bad with names, he called us the "A, T, & T" table) is an awesome server and I hope we get him when we go there again. The food was awesome, and next time I'm trying their grilled cheese with what sounded like shredded beef in it and the pizza that our friend tried. OK, this is one of my first and newest recent restaurant tries. I was looking for somewhere special for dinner equidistance between Berea and Burton and this was kind of in the middle. I had called ahead and talked on the phone with Bree and she was an absolute delight. So I decided this was the place with a very interesting menu. We met between four and 430. My compadre had a small pizza and let me tell you those six slices were more equivalent to a large pizza that you get anywhere else. They gave us plenty of time to look over the menu And even having looked at it for hours three days before I went I still couldn't decide I did go for the pick a plate and chose the pork chop which came also with a side salad and two sides where i opted for the roasted brussels sprouts and the roasted cauliflower. The side salad arrived first and was the biggest thing I've ever seen as an accompaniment. It had a great deal of mescaline mix, covered with very finely diced tomatoes and cucumbers and had a mountain of peeled curled carrots. The pork chop was oh so much thicker than any sirloin chop you ever wanted to see, and it was covered/sauced with a very sweet and tangy chutney. This pork chop was cooked to perfection and they never asked me how I wanted it cooked and was the most tender pork chop I've eaten in 65 years. The cauliflower was cooked perfectly; brussels sprouts did have something to be desired since I left most of them due to their lack of any roasting. I brought the salad home because it was just too big. Our server Julia was super attentive-- when we got down to almost half of our beverages, she was whisking away glasses and bringing us full beverages at least 3, 4 or five times. We left humongous tips because this restaurant earned it and more. Now this is a place you want to go to and we will be returning again. DO NOT MISS THIS SORT OF HIDDEN GEM RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF Eastgate. read more

Started a celebratory night here with a group of eight, after hearing some amazing reviews. They were extremely accommodating of our reservation and set up a table in the back for us. Nothing like watching home alone after Thanksgiving to get into the holiday spirit. Demetrius was our server, and he had an impressive table side manner the entire night. The drinks took a little while to come out but that was expected with a table of 8, as well as the rest of the restaurant. I looked at the menu and there were several things I plan to try on future trips. I chose the burger, as it came highly recommended from some friends and Demetrius. I added bacon to the double deluxe burger and asked for bbq sauce on the side. I forgot to have the 56 sauce removed but it was pretty bland. The maple bbq sauce was surprisingly amazing. My date ordered the pizza margherita and that was also pretty tasty. Overall, I'll definitely be making a return trip. read more
