I know this isn't related to much about the place, and I basically almost never got food from here, but every single day in summer I went to this place because we got a free soda subscription. As a kid, Im kind of scared of talking to strangers and workers at stores and restaurants. But, I felt more comfortable in this place. Typical Panera experience. Great location. Fast service. Good food and no complaints.

Was craving a warm bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. Grabbed my husband, off we went. We walk in...One kiosk for this restaurant...If you are ever short on time-DON'T eat here! Someone was using kiosk when we arrived. 10 minutes later-she's still using it. Mind you, the Manager was standing there taking inventory of what baked goods were left for the evening. Another employee was standing next to the manager. Neither one of them greeted us as we came in, or asked if we needed help-we could have been invisible the way they acted. After longer than 10 minutes at kiosk waiting...I asked both employees if one of them could take my order...the manager took her clip board and pointed at the other girl. She acted like it was a pain in her butt to have to "help us". I placed our order, 2 bowls of soup, 2 drinks. I pay, and she didn't give us a pager like they normally do. We went and sat down. SO many businesses now think that since they have a kiosk-they don't have to greet you, help you, or communicate with you! Soup was ready and manager called my name. I got up to come get it-it wasn't fast enough I guess and she hollered my name again and looked irritated...I said you didn't give us a pager! She just gave me a look...then she proceeds to stand right in the walkway of the drinks, and the entrance of getting to the dining area and chats with a family member who came in. I had my hands full balancing 2 large plates with soup on them. She just continued to stand there chatting and didn't move. At this point-I'm pissed! I rudely said EXCUSE me!...She gives me a dirty look, and said something under her breath-then moved. The soup was amazing. The service here SUCKS! This manager sucked. I didn't have to spend my hard earned money here...and from the looks of the almost empty parking lot this night-I give this business a year before they go under. There's a lot to be said for friendly service. It makes you want to go back. We won't be going back. I will patronize a business who appreciates our business. Such as a small business! Started with taking the order ... ordered the French dip - but wanted two sides of the dip for a whole sandwich... guy said they couldn't ... so I ordered two singles - with two dipping soup (not auju) ... ok couldn't just order a full sandwich with 2 dippers even if you charged me more ... anyway ... also ordered bowl of mac and cheese - and a grilled cheese sandwich all to be with chips .. while at the order window notice he put bacon mac and cheese sandwich... told him at that point - I just want regular mac not bacon ... ok he said - I got you .... got to the window the gal came to tell me they didn't have reg bread - had to have ciabatta she gave me the same total ... again I said I just want regular not bacon she said oh I'll get that changed ... it is less expensive as well ... not sure why he couldn't just correct it ... told her my granddaughter does not like the bacon just want to make sure it's right when made ... also told her last time I went thru drive thru ordered broccoli cheddar soup- got home and it want chicken noodle .... so I've learned check my order before leaving .... she said I'll make sure it's right - didn't notice when she corrected the mac she put baguette instead of chips .... got bag and went thru and took everything out before we left - no grilled cheese in bag and baguette not chips ... waited told the girl so she proceeds to go thru the next drive thru order bag behind us .... pulls out the grilled cheese hands me a chip .... irritated that we questioned or caught it .... don't get me wrong - I like Panera but what I didn't like was the plastic in my sandwich come on let's do better!! read more

The food was terrible. We ordered French onion soup and sandwich. The soup was inedible. It was thick and way too salty. It tasted like it was a week old. Disgusting. The veggies on the sandwich were wilted and not fresh. We have enjoyed eating at Panera in Tennessee and Colorado. I haven't been to a Panera in quite some time. This is first location I've visited on the west coast. I came before 11am so breakfast was my only option. I went with the turkey sausage, egg white and spinach sandwich. The food took a little while to come out and and even though I had one of those pager deals an employee delivered everything. Taste was good. The bread had a nice toast to it and the turkey sausage had a yummy herb flavor. One thing I didn't care for is while paying with my cc a screen popped up asking what amount of tip I'd like to leave. Options were .0, .50, $1.00 etc. Not sure taking my order and money is a service worthy of tipping. read more

I have to give Panera five stars for two reasons. First, they make my all-time favorite salad. The Green Goddess Cobb is delicious! The ingredient are always fresh, and the dressing is divine. Second, there service is spot on! I went with my coworkers recently and we were on a time crunch. We ordered online and were surprised the order was going to take an hour. One quick call into the restaurant & they had not only spread up the order, but had a table reserved and ready when we got there. Perfection! I will say that Panera can be a bit spendy for a place that makes you order at the counter. But Panera makes up for it in quality, for sure. read more

Panera is always a great stop when traveling and this one was a nice stop for weary travelers. The restaurant was nice and clean and so were the restrooms. The service was especially friendly. I always like the " you pick 2" and had the Caesar salad and the wild rice and chicken soup. So good. We also had a turkey apple cheese sandwich on walnut bread. Wonderful! I stopped at a Panera while I was traveling and was more than impressed! Their food is my absolute favorite; it tastes so amazing! Their broccoli cheddar soup is hands down one of the best broccoli cheddar soups I've ever had, their Caesar salad is always prepared to perfection. The lettuce is crisp, the dressing is perfectly dispersed and the croutons and cheese make for great additional flavor and texture. When I walked into this Panera, I was greeted by a manager doing work on her computer and a young girl at the counter. Both were very friendly but especially the girl at the counter. She was patient and extremely nice! She also displayed lots of gratitude when I tipped, which is always nice. She did a great job upselling me for the cookie too. The service was good. The lady who took my order was really helpful and friendly. I asked for a recommendation of pastry. She recommended the cheese, which looks like danish cheese in starbucks.It looks really good to me on display. When I asked if it could be heated, she asked me to use the microwave myself, which ended up was a failure. The pastry was soggy, and not tasteful at all. I ordered soba chicken noodle bowl for meal. That was a terrific stop on one of the last days of our vacation. The service was stellar, very friendly help. The broccoli cheddar in a bread bowl was delicious and the Fuji apple lemonade was great! I had the new signature grilled chicken sandwich with parmesan crisps. Panera is an overpriced sandwich shop.... That my daughter loves. The service is good, but there is one girl who always tells me the sandwich I am ordering doesn't exist. It hasn't happened every single time I've been there, just with that particular person. We don't go there very often and it's not something that is the end of the world, by any means. I just don't know why she does that.... Other than she may just not know the sandwiches offered? I finally got to try Panera last week and I'm not disappointed. There bread is amazing which makes for an amazing sandwich. I got a pick 2 with some avacodo chicken sandwich and a side of there BBQ mac and cheese. The food was delicious and I really enjoyed the ombiounce of the restaurant. My only complaint is price. I know this place is listed as only a 1 $ but after my girlfriend and I both got pick 2's with drinks, which are extra, and the dollar bakery treat, I was dishing out almost 35 dollars. The sandwich is only 6" and I kinda expected more for the price. That kind of price would easily pay for lunch for two at a real restaurant and I consider Panera a higher end fast food/bakery. read more

This Panera Bread is never busy. I think this place is too "posh" for the mainstream Pocatello crowd. Staff is not overly friendly but polite and courteous. The dining room is spacious and cold compared to the warm hearth feeling of most other Panera breads. Long family tables that are not conducive to small groups. The paninis are my fave and the kale/turkey one was pretty good! Free wifi makes this place great for studying (always been my go-to study space back home), but the lights are dimmed in this one. They actually surprised and impressed me.I live a bit away from this location , which is fairly new, so before going there I kinda asked few friends and co-workers , who already been there or heard about it about their opinions , which were....not too great...one dude referred to it as "overpriced Subway." Already been to Panera bread twice and definitely plan on coming back.Great new place and conveniently located in a shopping part of town , so whether shop at Walmart ,Harbor Freight, Costco or Pineridge Mall it is easy and convenient way to have your lunch or dinner. I visited on a Sunday to order take out. The restaurant was not busy but it still took awhile for my order to come out. I ordered four combination meals for my family, and the gal taking my order seemed impatient and annoyed. I got some water from the fountain machine, and it tasted metallic and unpleasant. The meals at home were not successful. The salads did not come with dressing, the soups were either too salty or lacked flavor, the fruit in the salads were sour, and the sandwiches featured a lack of filling and hard bread.
