Atrocious management. Easter Sunday brunch was a complete cluster-bleep, empty buffet trays and no food line integrity. Never again.

I am giving this rating based on the type of restaurant it is. It is just above a chain restaurant and the food is pretty good especially for the price point. I think their cocktail menu is great. Service is good. I have been here just under 10 times and have been with larger groups, and it is a nice/ decently priced restaurant. I don't have one dish that stands out - I order something different each time. read more

Had the BBQ chicken salad and it wasn't bad. A few others had salads and said they were ok. The calamari had a lot of fried vegetables that took away from the calamari. The desert was our favorite part, the cheese cake and key lime pie were pretty good. read more

Food was not completely set up in Sunday buffet prior to being seated for reservation. Only one server at buffet for omelettes and the carving area, not very helpful or anxious to provide service. Hot food was mostly lukewarm at best. Most entrees very salty. Most desserts appeared to be store made. Many floor servers present, very attentive. read more

Visited yesterday for lunch with husband and son. We had the kid's chicken tenders, Kobe burger and salmon burger. Everything was nicely prepared and very flavorful. Presentation was also nice. Giving a feeling of casual sophistication. Equally great was the service. Our server, Raquel, was kind and attentive. She anticipated our needs leaving little for us to request. Every time we do carry out it is wrong. If you order the turkey burger you can expect a slice of avocado the size of quarter. The best thing they could do is invest in kitchen expediter to make sure orders go out right. I'm giving 2 stars because the Taco Tuesday is good as long as you eat there so they can correct you order. read more

Came in right after the wings game place had only three tables about ten pm got the calamari was cold and the portion was small the red sauce was very pastie and we ordered the crab cakes also was not hot but warm the smoked salmon was good, the lyonnaise potatoes were also at best at room temperature the beers were good and cold read more

Ehh the food was mediocre, just bland and not much flavor. Nachos were ok, but didn't have any flavor. The mac n cheese was not good- we each had one bite and asked if we could swap it for a different side. Best part of the meal was probably the margaritas and French fries. read more

I went for Happy Hour so I will review based on that experience. Great & delicious Wings. The Shrimp empanadas hold their weight as well, very good!!.The beer prices are great with a good selection available. Three of us arranged to meet for dinner on October 23rd. Two of us were on time and the third delayed by traffic. We sat for 10 minutes without a waiter even acknowledging us. When I complained to the manager, he immediately sent over a waiter and then picked up the tab for our wines. Great response..great customer service. The food (when we finally all ordered) was very good. My only criticism is the noise. The place was packed and we had a hard time holding a business conversation. Sound deadening fixtures are needed to complete an otherwise terrific place on north Telegraph. read more

VERY disappointing tonight. We went for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. The operative word is skimpy. She had the Penne Rigate, which tasted good, but had a minuscule amount of chicken. I had a Maurice salary which turned out to be very small with less than a generous amount of turkey. We asked for a bread basket which finally came out with the bill because they burned the first loaf. Service was less than attentive. Won't be returning anytime soon. read more

Have been wanting to try this place and finally stopped in for dinner and drinks. Excellent service, generous portions, fabulous food and menu, overall cool place! We ate at 5th Tavern several times when it first opened and found it to be noisy but quite good. They have taken care of some of the noise problem but the menu has changed and the food was disappointing. We ordered the Tuesday special margaritas which tasted only of sweet/sour mix without any tequilla. Our entrees were not at all good and the service was disappointing. There are too many good places to dine around here to waste any more time and money at 5th Tavern. Sorry. read more

I have been to 5th Tavern several times and I love this place, Although today Mother's Day I knew the place would be Packed so I made reservations upon arrival I was informed that I had a 40-minute wait they were accepting walk-ins on top of the people that made reservations and they said the reason for the wait was because as people ate they would not get up and leave needless to say, we ended up leaving going somewhere else. read more

I enjoy coming here because they offer the food cooked on a rock. It's hot and fresh. Shrimp and scallops. Green beans are crispy and fresh and mashed potatoes were really good. Their crab cakes are awesome. They also have a good wine list. Plus our waiter was good and attentive. I'm not super picky but the atmosphere is good in the bar area. I agree about the unfriendly hostesses. I walked out of the bathroom and was given a very dirty/nastylook. But when we were leaving she said have a nice night. Weird. The waiter started out good but went downhill from there. We were out to celebrate my daughters birthday. Not only did her meal turn up when most of us had finished..... we had to remind him about 2 of our sides, my husband never got his onion rings and my daughter didnt eat her $16 fish, because the fish didn't taste very good. My other daughter had also ordered the children's serving of fish and didn't eat it because it didn't taste good either. I tasted it and it was taseless. Not only that when we said something to the waiter he did nothing about it. So we have left very unhappy never to return again. read more

We have been here twice for dinner. Once on a Friday night, another on a Tuesday. Friday was so busy that the bartender was our server. They have live music, which was nice. On Tuesday the service was absolutely horrible. The food is really good, prices are great, but the service was just awful. Only consider this place if you have plenty of time to burn. read more

My wife and I have been here 3 times now and it has yet to even come close to disappoint. Looking at the 2 1/2 star rating blows my mind. The atmosphere is great. The staff is great. The food is fantastic, especially the crab, spinach and artichoke dip! All of there pasta is on point. And try and tell me another place that has Scottish salmon on the menu. Monday special was 50% off burgers and sandwiches but when bill came my 10$ burger was 8.50. we were told burger was half off but fries were 2.50, say what! fries are not listed separately they were a "go with" plus we had to order a drink to get special. my turkey burger was just a frozen patty that you can get anywhere. we will not be going back! there were no deals to seen here tonight! read more

Review for Sundays in general - I like to go here for brunch, usually good. Nice choices, and endless mimosa option. Have always had good service. Fairly crowded, and sometimes run out of things, but just for a moment. NOW- REVIEW for the MOTHER'S DAY brunch we just came from. Um-not going to do it again if it is set up the same. Reservations are for 1&1/2 hrs. OK, I can eat in that amount of time. HOWEVER, it was so crowded, and I felt truly sorry for people sitting near the lines of people waiting for the buffet. The food was in the banquet room-The line wove thru the entire restaurant and entrance area and people kept coming in and it was breezy and congested-total cluster. No where for people standing to wait for their table as it was filled with people lining up to get in and out of the banquet room with their food.The wait staff could barely get thru and since it was Mother's day there were a LOT of impatient kids and it was probably10 mins standing in line. Also, a lot of impatient adults. They also had tables for seating in the banquet room with all the food crowded on one side and tables on the other. The omelette station, regular foods, and dessert lines were in a horseshoe shape, but going in TWO different directions, meeting in the middle- so people were struggling to get to one side or the other and at a loss trying to get to the middle portion of the buffet table. Some people commented "forget it" and walked away, and one poor woman behind me actually asked me to fill her plate since I was near the table and she was elderly and couldn't get near it. Ridiculous. Bumping in to each other, not being able to get what they wanted, people joking that the line was so long and room was so hard to get thru that they were loading 2-3 plates so they wouldn't have to go back. Really 5th Tavern. Is it really worth it for the few extra bucks to have so many people. The wait staff looked overwhelmed, and the hostesses looked lost. Next time fill the banquet room with food and no seating. The poor people eating in there were crowded and getting bumped in to. I would say - It literally took half an hour to stand in the line to GET to the banquet room, fight to get our food, and then fight our way back to our table with people coming and going out the same door. VERY poor set up, won't go back for any special occasion buffet. read more

Since we've always enjoyed a good dinner and service at 5th Tavern, thought we'd try their Easter Brunch. We made reservations for two four weeks prior. We arrived to a madhouse, and were not only told that they only accept reservations for parties of 6 or more (so, they didn't even have us on their reservation list!), but the price was a dollar higher than quoted. However, we were seated almost right away, maybe because there were only two of us, but the buffet line was very long, chaotic and unorganized. People, including us, were cutting in and out of the various lines; no one was supervising the buffet line nor the mob in the overflowing lobby. Unfortunately, the hassle wasn't worth it - the food was just mediocore, the desserts very disappointing, the atmosphere very loud. We will never go back from brunch. read more

I've been to 5th Tavern several times. I've had an enjoyable experience each and every time. I took my sister and brother in law there this past Friday, and they shared the same feelings about the restaurant that I did. The food was excellent, the wait staff very friendly and personable. My sister had the shrimp scampi with linguini, in which the linguini noodles were homemade. She loved it!! Not only is the food excellent, but they give you enough food. You will never leave hungry. lol The prices are very reasonable also. I have never had any reason for complaint with anything when I've dined at 5th Tavern. The parking lot is generally always full when I arrive, and when I leave. I generally find that this says a lot about the overall dining experience you will receive with any restaurant... If you haven't tried this restaurant, you should! read more

We had a disappointing experience at our dinner. My clam chowder was lukewarm... Drinks took forever to arrive. The menu said my daughter's meal should have mashed potato, but it arrived with a baked potato, with no butter or sour cream. By the time our server came to check on us, the potato was cold. Went to happy hour there tonight and somewhat dissatisfied. Ordered a flatbread for an appetizer and it was undercooked. We had to send it back to the kitchen. It came back better but still not the way a flatbread should be. Then, we ordered the crabcakes and they were just downright awful. The staff is really nice and accommodating, but they are clueless about reading cues when the customer is not happy. This place is in the honeymoon phase, falsely advertising (Kobe Beef) which is either regular beef at a ripoff price or the closest thing to actual Kobe beef (Wagu). There is only one restaurant in the United States that is allowed to import Kobe beef and that is in NYC. my wait staff server didn't know the menu and neither did the kitchen cooks. What was on the menu and what was served were too different things. I ordered a burger, medium to medium well, and asked for not a soggy bun and still got served a soggy sponge. This place isn't for me. Too bad, it's nice visually, but for an $11.00 burger. I demand the best. read more
