This has to be about my 4th time dining in. Parking is limited due to it being surrounded by a residential area. It's usually packed on a Saturday but this day it wasn't so there were open spots. Booths by the kitchen & along the windows with tables in the middle. (I usually go to the register & order takeout) I ordered shrimp & grits, which is new to me on the menu & my favorite PB&E. The shrimp & grits were good but i get irritated when the tail shell is left on it & served. I'd rather it just be cut off if it's not completely deshelled. I specifically said no whipped cream anywhere after ordering the french toast. The plate had a pile of whipped cream on the side. (I removed it from ny plate w/ a napkin after I took the picture.) The bottle of hot syrup was quite warm, but the compote is sweet enough so I didn't try the syrup. I ate half of both & boxed the other half. Waitress was friendly & attentative. read more

I love this restaurant! It is pretty much my go-to on the weekends. Their skillet potatoes are for real amazing. The pancakes are always perfectly browned and fluffy. You can get a mini stack of 3 pancakes as your side on the hash skillet, which is what I usually get. It is a serious mountain of food too! Came in for an early weekday lunch with a friend recently. Parking was tight: no spaces in front or on the restaurant streetside. I did find a few behind the building finally. When I entered to see the hostess at reception, I noted the LOUD headbanging, heavy-metal rock music emanating from the overhead speakers. Wait staff literally yelled to be heard! I asked for a quieter seating arrangement as my companion deals with significant hearing loss. Fortunately, after a bit of a wait for some patrons to clear out, we were seated at a four-corner table to hear one another. The server was excellent: pleasant, knowledgable and helpful. My companion ordered from the Fall Special menu, a Hot Chicken tender sandwich. The emphasis was on hot. She found it hard to eat for all the spice. I thoroughly enjoyed the Maurice Salad with house made original Maurice dressing. Creamy and flavorful. The salad was beautifully plated, fresh and large. I highly recommend that dish! All in all, I would recommend this Jagged Fork because the staff are pleasant and at least the salad was excellent. I cannot speak for other selections however. The space could be quieter. To Ms. "Big tip no wammy" I wanted to share feedback regarding my experience picking up an order today. I was in the restaurant for less than a minute--simply to pay for and pick up food that was already prepared and sitting on the shelf. During that brief interaction, I was met with a rude comment ("big money, no whammy...all wammy") that felt unnecessary, mocking, and unprofessional. I do not tip on pickup orders, and I never have. Tipping in that context has never made sense to me--it's no different than picking something up from a gas station, grocery store, or retail counter. Regardless, no customer deserves to be spoken to disrespectfully over a personal choice, especially when no service beyond handing over food was provided. The expectation of a tip, combined with the rude treatment and mocking tone, was disappointing and frankly unacceptable. That interaction alone solidified my decision not to tip and to no longer visit your establishment. I expect better treatment as a paying customer, and I hope this feedback is taken seriously The Jagged Fork Southfield location. P.s. there are only a few places I tip on pickup up, but those places have show me love for years on day one. read more

We like this spot for weekend brunch. Have been several times on a Saturday and when we arrive between 1pm and 2pm, it's not super crowded which is nice. Our group of 8 was seated in about 15 minutes yesterday and the waitress had silverware and waters on the table and was taking our orders less than five minutes later. Great service. Fantastic menu with a lot of variety but my favorite is always the breakfast. The Baja California omelet is delicious with the perfect blend of ham and guacamole. I also enjoy the Chorizo skillet with extra cheddar cheese and scrambled eggs. Two unisex restrooms are to the back right of the restaurant. Nice lobby area with seating if you do have to wait for a table. Inside is warm, clean, and welcoming. Our server was attentive and friendly. Came around many times to refill our drinks. Went with the voodoo Benedict and upped charged of hashbrowns with cheese, peppers, and onions. The up charge of the hash browns really weren't worth the price. But the voodoo Benedict was excellent! The eggs were poached perfectly and the verde salsa was delicious. My dad got the burger and he ordered it well done, but it arrived to him medium. He powered through it, but was not too happy with the cook. Not the cheapest place to get breakfast food. You can have Omelettes, crepes, pancakes, skillets, French toast, waffles, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, tamales, eggs Benedict, corned beef hash, burgers, salads, sandwiches and more! I loved the Cinco de Mayo Egg White omelet!! Large portion, filled with homemade chorizo, ham, cheddar, Swiss, tomato, onion, and guacamole, topped with a wonderful green salsa and a side of sour cream. I chose the side of fruit instead of hash browns, and pancakes instead of toast. So much food! The pancakes have a lovely sweetness to them, and they brought me warm maple syrup. I appreciate the attention to detail. The chorizo in my omelet was fantastic! It's clear that they used the freshest ingredients and everything is high quality. I enjoyed me hazelnut latte too. What more can I say but AMAZING! Some of the best brunch in metro Detroit. Pictured is just from my last visit, I've been a few times and have thoroughly enjoyed every meal and they have the most amazing fresh squeezed orange juice. Depending on how demanding business is on the day, service can get really slow but everyone is so kind it makes up for it. If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD! The food wasn't very good, the ambiance would've been better if it wasn't so cold in the place, and the SERVER and MOD SUCKED! I ordered a Bloody Mary (pre mixed by staff), that was SO HOT I SENT IT BACK! I was told they DO NOT REFUND ALCOHOLIC DRINKS. So I was forced to get another one. Or something else. I chose another drink and it had very little alcohol. Maybe because they include a 20% tip in your check is why the server gave us mediocre service. The server came back to the table and said the manager poured out the pre made mix, b/c they tasted it after I said something, and agreed that it was NASTY and too hot. I just looked at her. What? I was lying? Although the place always looks packed, I will ALWAYS pass this place by without a second look. I was not impressed with this place AT ALL! Do yourself a favor, and go elsewhere. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I order the corn beef hash skillet with the cinnamon swirl pancake. The pancake was delightful. It was topped with whipped cream and Cinnabon cream frosting that added the sweet element. The cinnamon was present but not too much. The best element of it was the crispy texture that added a crunch to the pancake which I loved. I really really enjoyed this pancake. The corn beef hash was pretty good. This is a wonderful breakfast/brunch/lunch spot!! A good friend and I met there for brunch today. She had the Cloud Nine (crepes) and I had the Carnitas Santa Fe (a skillet). Both orders looked yummy, and they TASTED yummy! Excellent flavor in that skillet - the roasted pork was flavorful, the potatoes were crisp but not dried out, the guacamole had a nice little kick, and the onions were nicely pickled. The coffee was excellent, and the staff were pleasant, and attentive without being intrusive. They were busy but all of the customers were chilling, chatty, and happy. It's a pleasant, welcoming place, clean and welcoming, without being cluttered. My friend & I could hear one another easily. They were very light and fluffy just like I like them. They needed a Pat of butter that wasn't included but no big deal I had some at home. The description didn't mention that the pancakes were blueberry so that was a small surprise. All the fruit in top was fresh and in nice portions. Good dish on its own. The hash skillet.... the corned beef hash is made fresh, so not the consistency at all that you see with the canned variety. The flavor profile was just lacking in the corned beef. It just had a greasy taste not a very flavorful taste. The eggs over medium were done perfectly and the potatoes underneath were amazing. All in all a solid meal, priced right. Visited recently with family and loved it! The wait wasn't too long considering it was a Sunday morning. Plenty of tables and parking outside. The service was decent and even though packed, we didn't have to wait for our food. One cousin asked for sausage links and even after the server reading it back she was served bacon. She didn't complain because she said the bacon was crispy and flavorful. I ordered the cinnamon swirl pancakes. Two giant but light and fluffy disks with a good amount of real cinnamon topped with cinnamon cream cheese. The syrup was a bit sweet but thankfully I didn't need much as the topping already had so much flavor. I also ordered the corned beef hash and I was surprised to see that it was basically pulled beef with boiled potatoes. I've never had it this way but it was tasty and I took the rest home to make a sandwich. The real eggs were Scrambled well. The littlest cousin loved his chocolate chip pancakes. My friend raved about the Jagged Fork! We must have went to two different places! I walked in told server I wanted a to go order, a well done cheeseburger-every thing separate;lettuce tomato etc on side and an order of French fries! Granted, I have been told to check my order before I leave the establishment but it was cold and I had just been in line to get air in my tires for an hour and I just wanted to go home. My order cost $20 at the Jagged fork. They melted the cheese on my cheeseburger so it looked like velveeta cheese they put shredded lettuce tomatoes pickles all on the cheeseburger and cheeseburger had pink meat on it. The French fries had melted cheese all over them! Granted I was not the happy camper. The restaurant was noisy and lots of noisy people there. read more

The staff was very nice and welcoming. They helped us pick which latte to get. The food was amazing. I had corned beef and hash. There was so much flavor in the meat and it wasn't dry at all. We shared the cinnamon pancakes which were delicious. The top of the pancakes had a little crispy texture while still having a fluffy center. The cinnamon cream on top was delicious and you only needed a little bit for each bite. My friend got a classic breakfast with turkey sausage. The lattes were delicious. The host recommended getting them hot because they down make anything iced. Lastly the decor itself was cute and casual! It was very clean and smelt amazing inside. I can't believe this is my 1st time eating here! Came here for lunch with my daughter and husband. The wait was about an hour but the great service and food was worth it. The inside was nice and cute, not too big not too small but just right. The only bad thing I would say is the bathroom had water(well I hope it was water) all over the floor. Also the mimosa's were not chilled they were luke warm. Our waitress was very nice and quick on response. All of our food was was really good and came out in a nice time.
