I was transitioning from a temporary RV living situation, consolidating storage units, downsizing years of accumulated belongings, and moving into a 1BR apartment. The storage units had been packed tightly by previous movers and required careful staging and decision-making during the move itself. The crew worked methodically, blanket-wrapped furniture, pointed out and documented pre-existing marks before loading, and handled difficult maneuvering with impressive skill. They even opened boxes during the process so I could decide in real time what should move, stay, or be repacked. Nothing felt rushed or careless. I had already done substantial prep work to reduce clutter and create access paths, which helped the process, but the team still completed what was conservatively estimated as a 7-hour job in under 5 hours. They assembled the bed, staged furniture, laid rugs, and helped make the apartment immediately functional. Most importantly, they treated both the belongings and the customer with respect throughout the entire process. Communication was excellent, attitudes stayed positive, and they clearly cared about doing the job right. I tipped them well because they earned it. Ironically, I found Unicorn Moving through ChatGPT while searching specifically for movers experienced with senior downsizing and complicated transitions -- and the recommendation turned out to be exactly right.

He first expressed his sincere apologies for the experience I had, and then he tried to better understand the situation in detail. After learning what had actually happened, he acknowledged that this was not the kind of customer experience their company aims to provide. He was very proactive in stating that they would make things right. Today, Monday, I received a follow-up call from Nick. He showed a very positive and proactive attitude in trying to resolve the issue. Through our communication, we were able to reach an agreement. Four bedroom three bath home but only one person living in it so there had to be some concessions made, and the pricing could not just reflect the square footage Michael was in charge of our move as we ended up choosing them to complete the task. They were not the cheapest nor were the most expensive.. they arrived promptly at 8:30 as promised with three gentlemen to do the move. All supplies were included we had several delicate items, including some very large screen TVs, some large decorator mirrors. And then abundance of other items, more traditional, like your refrigerator, freezer and washer and dryer. They were very nice and very easy to work with. They were very respectful. We had somewhat of a situation going on and they worked through it with us. They worked consistently for about 5 1/2 hours which included a flat fee service charge and then an hourly rate for three men After they loaded everything that needed to go to climate controlled storage, they also loaded a flatbed trailer to go to personal storage and then drove the moving truck to the storage units we had chosen in Cedar Park. I thought they did an amazing job and I would hire them again in a heartbeat!! When I went to talk to the storage people and obtain the key and lock, they commented on how nice the moving men that came were and how hard they worked to get everything in that 10 x 10 storage space. It barely fit I'm not sure how they did it, but I was so relieved . I'm so sorry. I don't remember all three gentlemen's names, but they were all fantastic. They worked well together, combining teams to do the wrapping and padding of delicate items. They damaged some small items and never followed up after I told them about the items. They said they would send it to a manager, and I never heard back. I even sent a follow up reminder. We haven't unwrapped everything and I'm really worried when we do. Isn't this why they have insurance? I mean, it was less than a couple hundred dollars worth of "valuable to us" items. We paid them thousands, and I tipped their workers more than the damage would have been. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I've given them almost 2 months to reply. (0930) unfortunately he had to park in the street because our ancient Durango would not start so I couldn't move it or he could've pulled up a little closer into the driveway. Just so you're aware, he did not mention this. I just was thinking that when I realized I couldn't move the Durango that morning. At any rate, he came to the door and knocked. After introducing himself, I let him in to take a look at the recliners which I had moved up into the front of our home. He immediately took out the first one and got it, settled within his trailer and came back for the second one. He was very professional and extremely nice.
