Their Acai is to dieeeee for. It literally needs its OWN MOMENT. I am not a big fruit person. But I sampled it today because they had the cutest spoons. Yes, I grabbed my Coconut Carmel coffee and an amazing California bagel and was like, whats this? The staff who is always extra friendly was like that's an açaí spoon you wanna try? I was like sure, with anything that has a spoon that cute. Heck yes. Well let me tell you. Their açaí is smooth, velvety and decadent. Better than a gelato or ice cream! The texture was smoother than the smoothie I had yesterday. I will definitely be back for their açaí. I had never tried any açaí quite like this before. It had me inspired that they should have their own açaí glass cases at the front of the shop with fruits to pick and toppings from... one taste of ..one spoonful. I am now officially a 602 Açaí convert. I will surely be back for an entire serving on my next venture. It was truly heavenly. I've now given 602 Coffee House and Açaí (on Goldenwest) two chances, and unfortunately, they're 0 for 2 on service. Stopped in on March 28 for what should have been the easiest order in the building: 2 black coffees & 1 bagel sandwich. We arrived before about five other families. Somehow, every single group that came after us received their specialty drinks, açaí bowls, and food... and most of them finished and left... before we got anything. Two black coffees. No foam art. No oat milk. No fluff n puff. Just coffee. After waiting way too long, I finally asked what was going on. That's when they casually mentioned they had to brew a new pot. Good to know... eventually. A simple heads-up or apology would have gone a long way. There were about six employees behind the counter, which made the whole situation even more confusing. It felt less like a rush issue and more like a "no one is driving the bus" issue. As for the food, coffee: not great, tasted watered down. Maybe they used the same grounds twice. . "Ick" is the technical term. Bagel sandwich: actually very good. Everything bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage. Flavorful. Would have been even better if it were warmer than room temperature. At that point, I wasn't even picky. I just wanted to receive the order I paid for sometime before retirement. For comparison, the 602 Coffee House (PCH location) runs much smoother. Either their team is sharper or the system is just better built. Busy, but efficient. Bottom line, good food potential. Consistently slow, inattentive service I want to like this place. But right now, ordering two black coffees feels like submitting a special request to NASA. Hope that helps. read more

Recently I finally checked out a café that had been on my list for a while: 602 Coffee & Acai. They have two locations in Huntington Beach (PCH and Goldenwest) and another one in Costa Mesa. I visited the Goldenwest Street location in Huntington Beach. The shop itself is small, but the space feels really cozy and relaxing. It's the kind of place where you can easily sit down for a bit and enjoy a quiet coffee break. The staff member working there was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. I tried several of their fresh breads along with a banana acai bowl. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, especially the acai bowl which was nicely balanced and refreshing. The breads were soft and flavorful, perfect to go with a cup of coffee. They also have a weekday happy hour from Monday to Thursday after 12 PM, with 15% off drinks, smoothies, and bagels. Definitely a nice little neighborhood café if you're around Huntington Beach and looking for a relaxed spot to grab coffee or a light bite. read more

Wow what a great coffee shop! This coffee shop is the place to be for a casual breakfast. For food they have classic bagels and bagel sandwiches. Mostly breakfast bagel sandwiches like avocado toast and egg, ham, and cheese. They also have amazing acai bowls. I got the small Berry Nice bowl and it was so good. The flavors of the acai were delicious with the perfect amount of granola to add a good crunch to the bowl. The small bowl was big enough for me to feel full for breakfast. For my drink I got a specialty drink of the Fruity Pebbles matcha with oat milk. I love that they don't charge extra for alternative milks. The Fruity Pebbles matcha was an iced matcha latte with fruity pebbles sprinkled on top. It was so good. It was definitely on the sweeter side of matcha lattes but I didn't mind the sweetness at all. I found 602 Coffee & Acai thru the "too good to go" app! I reserved my "surprise bag" and came to pick up later in the day. When I came in, I was greeted by the workers. Wow! I got 5 pastries and a mini acai bowl for $5 (before taxes) Omg what a steal! It's a surprise bag, so they pick what to give you. I brought it back to work and shared with my coworkers. They genuinely cared about the guests that walked in. I love supporting small, mom-and-pop shops--but this was a major miss. From the moment I walked in, I had a bad feeling. The shop didn't smell like coffee or food, which should've been my first red flag. I ordered the California Bagel, which I was told was popular. I had high hopes, but it fell completely flat. The most egregious part? The avocado--it was old and black. If you know avocados, you know that's a dealbreaker. It tasted just as bad as it looked. The egg and sausage were clearly pre-packaged, and nothing--not even the bagel--tasted fresh. For $15, this was a total disappointment. I don't recommend it. read more

Visited this cute coffee shop today for the first time and will absolutely return. The location is easy to find in the Ralph's shopping center directly across from the seacliff shopping center. Parking is plentiful outside in the large lot. There is patio seating outside also so grab a cup of coffee or a smoothie and enjoy the beautiful California sunshine. Inside I was immediately greeted by Livvy and Isa who were beaming with the biggest most friendly smiles. It truly made my day! It's funny but I always used to pass the 602 Coffee on PCH growing up here but never stopped by. So when I saw one opening up much closer to me and has much easier parking, I was excited. And I was not wrong to be. I'm a latte/macchiato drinker so that's how I base my food reviews and I have to say the lattes are pretty decent. I think their caramel macchiato is better, and their avocado toast and bagels are hearty but light. The baristas are always SUPER friendly and welcoming the moment anyone comes in, and they're always in such an uplifting mood. Definitely brightens up anyone's day walking in. This particular location is pretty small, so it's not one I'd recommend for remote working. Maybe like a short solo time to relax or read or a date. There are a few indoor tables and some shared tables outside with Rubio's. They don't have a restroom either and can't recall if I saw any outlets so again, not an ideal workspace, but still an excellent option in lieu of commercialized places. read more

The service was especially well. Even though, it was super busy (Sunday mid morning ) the girls at the counter were upbeat and helpful. Unfortunately the avocado toast was not worth 13 dollars. Not only was the bread not toasted but it was over salted and poorly presented. My boyfriend didn't ask for any discount or money back even though we bought 2 avocados toast so 26 dollars down the drain! The bagel and the matcha did turn the experience somewhat around . The bagel was toasted to perfection. The bagel was still mailable but toasty and they served it with the right amount of cream cheese . The strawberry matcha latte was exactly what you would expect from the name . Extremely sweet and complimented the bitterness of the earthy matcha flavor.
