What an amazing experience. Tonight was our anniversary and what a great place to celebrate it at. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left there were no complaints. Out waitress was Bianca. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. Her recommendations were on point. My husband had the crab cakes for appetizer. He said they were very good. Good find in freehold. If your in the area I would definitely go here. Menus has a few sold options from short rib raviolis to the shrimp and grits. All entrees and apps give you great portions so you can share . Presentation is meticulous and very eye appealing. All food taste great and was fresh . As far as service is concern they hit 5 stars. Everyone the server chef to the hostess was extremely friendly courteous and made you feel very very welcome I felt that the service at this place really set it apart from most of the restaurants that I visit.Lastly the Tar Heels although I don't drink people I work with had a few the signature cocktails are worth trying. read more

We celebrated our anniversary at 618 last night. Our waitresses name was Nicole . We had a perfectly situated outdoor table and chairs. Each place was a nice distance from another so diners weren't near one another. Staff was gloved and masked. It felt 100% safe eating there. From our appetizers to our dessert, we don't have a negative thing to say. Nicole offered specials for the evening but we chose what we were interested in. Drinks were plentiful , appetizers delicious, our entrees out of this world. Dessert came along with sparklers flaring for our anniversary. It was really very nice. The server advised yes it did but not only did she NOT say they could prepare without but did NOT offer any alternative. We have been in 618 many times. 618 is one of my favorite restaurants. My husband and I dined there last night for the first time since Covid. We chose to eat outside because we are still uncomfortable eating inside. When we arrived the hostesses were so nice and told us they would show us the outside area and we could let them know if we were okay with where they were seating us. We sat under the tent which is more secluded which is what we preferred, the hostess even asked which table we would prefer. I'm 8 months pregnant and haven't ventured out much during the pandemic so I really appreciated their attention to the customer's comfort level and the obvious efforts made by staff and management to keep things safe and sanitary. The food, as always, was delicious. But what really stands out is the awesome staff and amazing service during such a hard time. Also, I used the restroom inside and the indoor dining set up looked very safe and I wouldnt hesitate to eat inside if I wasn't being extra cautious right now. We are having my baby shower catered by 618 next weekend and I know the food will be fantastic. Keep up the great work 618! read more

So my girl and I decided to have a fun date night out, but because of the frigid temperatures we decided we did not want to go far. Made our reservation, went on a short drive and found plenty of parking in the lot connected to 618. We were greeted by our hostess who seated us right away! No waiting?! How can this be??? Maybe they weren't busy...nope it was packed. We discovered there is the restaurant portion and the lounge but since we already made our reservation for the restaurant we went in. The server came to us quickly and we had the fortune of meeting the owner. Very nice guy who spent a good amount of time with us giving us the history of his restaurant experience and he even bought us a bottle of resiling for my girlfriend. Their cocktails were delicious and the food was very high quality, well prepared and fresh. Great atmosphere for dates, but we did see many table with kids and families. I would imagine the later it got the older the crowd would be. All in all a great experience if you are looking for the perfect place for that date night or a night to sit and enjoy a meal with friends. read more

First time going here, but not the last. Definitely suggest the shrimp and grits as an appetizer. We also got the crispy pork belly as an appetizer, but that wasn't nearly as good as I've had at other places. For entrees, we got the short rib ravioli, bucatini with meatballs, lobster ravioli, and angry shrimp and pasta. My favorite of all was the short rib ravioli and I will definitely be getting that next time. Buccatini was average, but the meatballs were much better than your average restaurant meatballs - these tasted just like homemade. Desserts - the chocolate decadence was one of the best chocolate mouse desserts I've ever had (and I've had a ton!). Overall, service was excellent and prices were reasonable. Only problem is there is not enough parking, but you can always park next door. Will definitely be going back! read more

Appetizer meatballs and edamame dumplings were both delicious. Burger was done perfectly, roasted chicken with fingerling potatoes and Brussels sprouts was outstanding. Chicken was moist and flavorful and a huge portion! I enjoyed the leftovers for lunch the next day. The menu identifies gluten-free items. 618 is the stud restaurant of the jersey shore! Who would have thought a place off of Main street in Freehold would be the best of the best! You will not be disappointed! My friends & I didn't have a reservation and took a shot to get a table at 7:00 on a busy Saturday nite. We were greeted by Kat & Ava the hosts who were very pleasant and accommodating. We wanted to sit at the bar while waiting for a table, but were informed that they didn't have any space due the bar capacity. As we walked out to wait in our cars, Kat ran out side in the cold to let us know that 2 guests left the bar and we could be seated. We were able to enjoy a few drinks and then were seated in the 4 Seasons room which is very cozy and Covid Compliant. Probably one of my fav places ever. The bartender is worth the trip alone. Make sure you order the veal too. It's some of the best cuts of meat I have had outside of moms cooking! Very good neighborhood restaurant. The ambience inside is nice and there are multiple fireplaces in the dining area. Our waiter was very attentive and I don't think my water was ever below half. The food was great! I had the shrimp & grits and the sticky toffee cake. They also have an area for private parties upstairs, when I went there was a 16th birthday so it was a little bit loud and you heard the footsteps/dancing from ceiling. I made a reservation online and requested outdoor seating under a tent for shade. We were walked to a table under an umbrella with only shade for 2. We were a party of three. Not the best start and this was our first time here. We were moved to another table that was just ok. Food was very good. Everyone truly enjoyed their food. I had the angry shrimp but asked for non angry since I'm not a spicer. Shrimp were so fresh and sauce was awesome. Hubby had the short ribs I tried them and they were also very yummy. He was happy. Bro had the pork chop with the Mexican corn side and he ate like a beast. He loved it also. Specialty drinks are VERY pricey. I had the peach sangria which was good but didn't even induce a buzz. It had a nice taste but seemed watered down. At.Rio Mar I can hardly finish a glass of their sangria. They'll knock you right off your feet. All in all we were all satisfied with the food and will return when we are up to a pricey meal. I just hope that restaurants don't try to make up for the revenue losses by jacking up prices because they may as well shoot themselves in the foot because they will lose customers. I called and made a reservation before knowing about open table. The person who answered the phone was so friendly, for two people we got the time we wanted. The service was amazing. The hostess and server was so nice, as our first time here she explained the menu, gave recommendations for drinks, food and dessert. Helped make choices since everything looked so good! We didn't get an appetizer, but the food came out so so fast. We were so happy cause we were hungry. The food was SO GOOD. I got the skirt steak and it didn't even need a knife to cut. My husband got the short rib and he loved his meal as well. It wined up raining when we were here and the staff was so accommodating given the circumstances. They were all amazing! This place has EXCELLENT pasta and meatballs! I live in Jackson where there are many great Italian restaurants, but I find the meatballs to have too much garlic flavor (and I love garlic). 618's pasta is Bucatini [bukatini], also known as perciatelli [pertatlli], a thick spaghetti-like pasta with a hole running through the center. Even the great reviews didn't prepare us for how good 618 would be. Service is very friendly with everyone helping out. The bar area decor is pleasant with artsy touches that extend to milk bottle glasses used for tasty red sangria. The dressing on the 618 salad is tasty and the scallop special was amazing in depth of flavor. The bolognese was filling without being heavy. Don't pass up the Brussel sprouts, which were excellent. Fabulous experience. Our first time and drove an a hour to arrive. We came because of their extensive bourbon menu. Greeted with smiles, seating and our server Toni said hello. Ordered drinks and the experience only got better. As we enjoyed we mentioned to Toni that we came from far away. She came back and said the owner, Matt wanted to meet us, and boy was he impressive.
