My parents and grandmother are regulars (and I can see why)! Sophia was an excellent server with friendly hospitality. I think the "NEW" Olde Silver is an excellent restaurant. The Tavern Burger and the Cesar Salad, two of my favorites, are excellent. The Tavern Burger in fact is the only burger I would eat between here and Barnacle Bills. The New York Strip is better by a long shot than Jasper Stone. Good pours and fun nights. We visited again and as our last server was outside and we wanted inside went with Brianna G who turned out to be just as awesome. Not usual to have such great service both times. This time my wife went with the same crabcakes, but substituted potatoes instead of the hard rice she experienced the last time and I tried the fish and chips. Not bad, but not outstanding as if bettered . Had wings which were really did but too much for us . This upscale tavern is certainly one of the nicer places to dine in the area that offers a variety of American cuisine rather than just typical bar bites. The menu is pretty extensive and they have a great Happy Hour menu that I'd love to come back for (Monday - Friday 3-6 pm). I ordered the Firebird Fried Chicken sandwich, which was quite good. The sauce has a good kick and there's a pretzel bun option, which is great. My friend ordered the Wagyu Burger, which he also enjoyed. The service was pretty good on this occasion, but it has been a bit slower on other occasions. The food and drinks are good overall, but I feel they are priced slightly high ($18 for the chicken sandwich and $25 for the Wagyu burger). The Happy Hour menu seems like a good value, so if you're in the area from 3-6 pm on a weekday, definitely stop in! read more

The owners have redone the inside of this place, maybe a year or two ago not sure exactly when. But it's beautiful inside, great vibe, and ambience! There's a beautiful dining room, but there's also a room with a bar in it and high top tables that go around it! If you're looking for a sports bar with the best food and beer and drinks, this is where you go! I can tell you this cause I've been to all the other sports bars in the area. The highest quality food, drinks made the best at the bar, and plenty of big screen TVs! I'm trying to keep this a secret, but it's really not fair to the tavern. The appetizer should be outlawed. They're so delicious! Their wings and fry cauliflower are a must order! Dinner here is insanely delicious too, I got their salmon and what a generous piece of salmon perfectly cooked! I love the vibes here, but unfortunately during my last visit the food was a little lackluster. We tried some more elevated dishes like shrimp pasta amatriciana and pumpkin pizza. They weren't bad, but not great either. Both were just very bland. In the future I'd probably stick to more classic bar items, like burgers and wings. OH, and an honorable mention for the fried goat cheese balls. Definitely a must-order for an app. Nonetheless, it's a nice place to grab dinner and they do such a good job with cozy holiday decorations. They also have fun cocktails and really reasonably priced beer specials. And they let us bring in our own cake for my birthday! Came here with a big group (over 20 people) after a baseball game and at first things looked really promising. The place is decorated nicely, has plenty of parking, and they were able to seat us in about 20 minutes (kids at one table, adults split across two). Definitely a good start and something I appreciated. Service ended up being on the slower side though. It took about 25 minutes before our orders were taken, which wasn't easy with a bunch of hungry kids. We even tried to make it easier by organizing the checks by the kids' uniform numbers, but that seemed like a foreign concept, which was surprising since the tavern is literally a couple minutes from the town park where baseball, soccer, and football are always going on. Food-wise, my prime rib sandwich was a letdown, pretty tasteless, which was disappointing. Overall, the place has potential with the vibe and setup, but the execution just didn't match. The waiter came out on the heels of the food and asked how everything was before we had taken a bite, then disappeared for the rest of the night. My "medium rare" burger was well done - flavorless and not even a little pink inside. We didn't see the waiter again until our table was cleared and my glass of wine had been empty for at least 10 minutes. For a $25 burger, this is not someplace I'd come back to. We probably ordered too much food. We got the cauliflower. We got the soups. Well, it actually exceeded my expectations! #1- the place is beautiful with all high end tile and lights and wood. #2 The service is outstanding. I was greeted when I arrived and then fortunate to sit at Janet's section. She was a delight and incredibly patient with a large party of people who love to talk. We never felt rushed. #3 The food! I had a Tavern burger and it was perfectly cooked and ridiculously delicious. I saw what my friend's had and I will definitely get the French Dip next time I visit. Everyone loved the food. Oh, I also have to say that their coffee is as good as a fancy cafe. #4 The bathroom. As soon as I stepped into the Men's Room I was like "whoa!" This is something akin to high end restaurants in NYC. The fact that they would pay so much attention (and money) to the bathrooms was not lost on me. Popped in here for some happy hour drinks and bar food. They have a pretty good happy hour menu with multiple food and drink options. The bar area was spacious and pretty to look at along with the area around it. Everyone who served us was very helpful and patient. My drink was refreshing and the food came out hot. We got the pepperoni pizza and Nashville hot chicken tenders along with a couple of other things. The chicken tenders were crispy and juicy, but I do wish they had more of a kick to them. They weren't spicy at all to me but that may due be due to my high tolerance of spice. The Pepperoni pizza came pipping hot out of the kitchen which I appreciated. Got to see the cheese pull when picking up a slice. The pizza dough had a nice chew to it where I ate the whole thing including the crust. We had lots of catching up to do and our server totally picked up on that. I started with the French onion soup and found it to be very good. Right amount of cheese, nice and hot and tasty. I wish the person that brought to the table warned me about the hot plate and bowel. My friend had a salad and it looked underwhelming. We both opted for Tavern burger. I had fries he had tots. They both come cooked as we asked, but on the cold side. My fires were just warm. We finished with the chocolate mouse cake. Skip it and try something else! Our filet was perfectly cooked sides were great and the ribs were the hands down best in the area. They had a great rub on them, sauce was incredible, and they held to the bone nicely and pulled off clean with very little effort. My first impression is WOW! Gorgeous venue inside and out. What a difference from the old place. The fireplace was such a nice touch. It warmed up the space. Acoustics were perfect. It's a pleasure to be able to talk and hear your company. We each ordered a pizza which could have easily been shared and a salad. It had a thin crunchy crust, just the way we love it. The water is filtered which allows the pizza to come out like this. There is a nice space for a party in the rear and a gorgeous bar with TVs. They do charge 4% for use of credit card. I was a former life long Olde Silver Tavern guest and enjoyed the bar pies - my family "The Hye's" have lived in this community for over 75+ years I am only 59, but this tavern old and new has been our stomping ground. Although, the new "Olde Silver Tavern" has taken on the modern day flare, in the decor as well as the pricing and some of the menu choices.. the family vibe is still here welcoming you as before.. My friend Kris and I had the nicest experience as one could have asked for in a neighborhood tavern.. Updating my review after the manager kindly offered to rectify the situation. Danielle offered me another chance to dine in, but unfortunately that wasn't feasible due to being new parents but then she generously offered a meal to go. We ordered the veggie wrap as a sandwich with truffle fries. Both were generous portions so my husband and I were able to share it for lunch. Not only was the sandwich and fries really good, but that small gesture definitely helped these new parents not have to worry about what to eat!
