Service: 5 star. The older gentleman we had as our wait staff was MORE than attentive. He highlighted suggestions, uber friendly to the children and our party and overall just had a great aura. Food: I can't say the same regarding the food. Some people at my table were ok with their items but my family didn't particularly enjoy theirs. I tried the ribeye cheesesteak which was pretty bland. My wife tried th Tuscan Caesar wrap. I had a bite of hers and it was also very bland. The Caesar dressing is a vinaigrette dressing which isn't ideal for a Caesar wrap and in this instance confirmed that. The French fries were just ok. It was more breading than anything. The water however was fresh. Maybe not the most important thing but surprisingly good for a restaurant. Folks in my party also order several margaritas which they advised were just mid. They didn't really taste any of the top shelf tequila they paid additionally. I've returned to give The Bistro another try. I had a work event at Warehouse 100 and we all stopped by The Bistro afterwards for food and drinks. Luckily happy hour just started and margaritas were only $9. I saw on the menu they now changed the verbiage for the poke bowls and adjusted it to raw vs cooked. I decided to order a poke bowl again and I'm very glad I did. I chose lettuce as my base as I had a very heavy lunch earlier in the day. The dressing I chose was the sesame dressing. It was light and not too overpowering, you get a lot of fresh salmon. Honestly was a great improvement from the last time. Additionally, service was better this time around. I visited The Bistro with a group of ladies from a social club. We had a pretty large group of about 20 people. We went here for our monthly brunch because they do the Miracle Pop-Up Bar and deck the restaurant with lots of holiday decor. With that being said, the holiday decor was a big plus. There were lots of opportunities to take photos throughout the restaurant. Although we were not seated in the bar area, we were able to order the holiday-themed drinks from the Miracle menu if we chose to. I decided to go with the Yippee Ki Yay Motherf*cker drink. It was served in a mug that resembles Santa's bottom half. Cute! As for food, I ordered the chicken tacos. I thought they were just okay and nothing spectacular. I didn't necessarily care for the preparation of them and the toppings. From what I gathered from others in the group is that there were some hits and some misses. One person loved their poke bowl and she still raves about it to this day. Others had things they didn't care for. As for service, we had a good server who was nice and did his best. However, I think overall, they weren't prepared for all of the large groups that day and service was extremely slow. I feel like we waited at least or almost an hour just to get our drinks. There were two other large groups sitting near us and I think it was a little overwhelming for the staff. Overall, I would be willing to return, especially for the holiday pop-up. My mom and I stopped in this restaurant for dinner. When I arrived I parked in the parking lot. I walked in and was greeted! The place was super huge! I sat and Justin served me and was great! What a great experience. The restaurant is so immaculately decorated and beautiful I was left in "awe" at every moment I spent here. I can't rave enough about how well it was decorated (Christmas for the time we went). The food was good, nothing to write home about but it was appetizing. It is slightly pricey. Service was great. The food came out promptly. I have no complaints. The temperature in the eating area (main bar area) was perfect. I was warm and cozy. There are pillows scattered nicely along the booth side in the bar area and made it even more comfy. The hostess in the front who sat us, Suzane C., is an absolute sweetheart. She made the experience even better just by her kind personality and demeanor. We hope she is the hostess again when we come back! I will be back again soon. read more

This review is based off the Christmas character brunch event they recently hosted. We were excited to bring the kids here to meet their favorites Mickey and Minnie, especially since we've seen how beautifully the venue is decked out for the holidays. We walked in and were amused by all the beautiful Christmas lights and decor - it was quite the sight! The ambiance was wonderful, but the low rating is coming from the actual experience. Our reservation was for 11:45pm for a table of 8 and our waitress went missing after taking our drink orders. About an hour later we flagged another waiter down who kindly took our order and apologized for the inconvenience. By this time the kids were getting hangry so we requested that they bring out any food they can for the kids first which he said they would. However, nothing came out. We asked 2x again if ANYTHING could come out for the kids but they brought nothing, not even the bowl of fruit we ordered. They finally explained that the kitchen goes in order of when the order was placed so they won't look at the order slip until it's our turn... welp - wish that was communicated to us at the very least. The food came out closer to 1:30pm. Almost 2 hours is a bit absurd for a kids event and I personally believe they should've been more prepared. A manager finally came out, checked on timings and came back and acknowledged we had been waiting a long time; he comped us 20% of the meal which was appreciated.  The actual event was uneventful - Mickey and Minnie said hi, took a quick picture in between tables and moved on. The food was nothing extravagant. They only offered us the brunch menu rather than the all day menu (even after I asked) and there's very limited vegetarian options. In my opinion, The Bistro is a good one time experience for the decor/ambiance during the holidays, but I wouldn't come back otherwise. read more

This place was originally the "Wooden Spoon" but is now "The Bistro". The decor in the restaurant is beautiful. The food options are very amazing; they vary from sandwiches to wraps to pizza, pasta and steaks. The drink options are perfect and reasonably priced. The service was phenomenal. We had the loaded nachos as an appetizer and they were literally loaded with beans and cheese and sauce and peppers and onions AND IT WAS DELICIOUS! We both had wraps as entrees that came with fries and they were delicious as well. The owner of the restaurant was there walking around greeting people and he was very nice. Popped in for the pop up Miracle Bar for the holidays. Decor is beautiful very festive I'm glad I was able to stop in before they took the decor down. I ordered a Yippee Ki Yay Mother F***r which came in a festive Santa pants glass. Let me tell you this drink is so strong lol I only came for a drink but had to order some wings. This use to be the Loaded Spoon - so the decor is pretty much the same are before (if you ever visited the Loaded Spoon, you will understand) just with a lot of added on Christmas stuff. Ambiance was ok. Not much people there. Food was ok. We got calamari - wasn't really into the sauce that was drizzled on top. My friend and I had poke bowls. Not mediocre. We ordered drinks - martini and One in a Melon. Both were ok as well. Prices weren't ridiculous which we appreciated. We also got a cake for dessert. Overall, it wasn't bad. read more

We chose The Bistro at iPlay to celebrate a birthday, especially since we were told it was decorated nicely for the holidays. The atmosphere was festive and inviting, and we were looking forward to a fun night out. From the moment we sat down, our waiter, Ourion, was exceptional--friendly, personable, down-to-earth, and genuinely attentive. His service truly stood out and ended up being the only reason this experience didn't turn into a complete disaster. We ordered cocktails, and for nearly $20 per drink, we expected them to be excellent. Unfortunately, the first round was awful. We are not the type to complain, but Ourion immediately picked up on the fact that we weren't enjoying them. Without hesitation, he took them back and arranged for a different bartender to remake them. The second round was just okay, and again, he proactively suggested yet another bartender. The third round finally came out perfect. From that point on, the night felt like it was back on track. We were enjoying ourselves, the food was decent, and Ourion continued to provide outstanding service. It genuinely felt like he was doing everything in his power to ensure we had a good experience. For context, we have been iPlay customers for years and have spent a significant amount of money there over time on birthdays, play dates, and family outings. This was not a one-off visit--we are very familiar with the venue and chose to dine here expecting the same level of professionalism we've experienced in the past. Unfortunately, after our food arrived, everything took a sharp turn. The manager, Maria, came to our table holding the bar receipt and questioned us about the cocktails. We calmly explained exactly what had happened. While she initially appeared pleasant, the conversation quickly became uncomfortable when she asked if we knew Ourion "from outside the restaurant." We have never seen this man before in our lives. The implication felt clear--that we were somehow receiving free drinks due to a personal connection. Shortly after, the manager disappeared into the back. Almost immediately, the music shut off and the restaurant went completely silent, which only added to the awkwardness. Ourion returned to the table, and we actually felt the need to apologize to him because it felt as though he was about to be reprimanded for simply doing his job well. At that point, we asked for our check because we were uncomfortable and wanted to leave. We were told we couldn't get the check because the manager was in the camera room "investigating"--her exact words. After waiting and eventually threatening to leave because we were in a rush, Ourion had to text the manager to let her know we were about to walk out. The entire situation made us feel like criminals rather than paying customers. Maria later stated that it wasn't us being investigated, but the waiter--which made the situation even worse, considering Ourion did absolutely nothing wrong. I was genuinely shocked by how both customers and staff were treated. Sadly, after years of being loyal iPlay customers, this experience ensured that we will never be stepping foot in this establishment again. Ourion deserves recognition for his professionalism and kindness under pressure. Unfortunately, poor management completely overshadowed what could have been a lovely evening. read more

We attended The Bistro to celebrate our niece's 12th birthday. There were 30 people attending the birthday celebration which was the tv series "Friends" theme. The team at The Bistro decorated the room in that theme as well as the desserts and cake. The room was decorated reminiscent to a French garden room. Ourian was our server for the party and his was extremely attentive to the guest needs. From the appetizers, the salad, the soup (which was Lobster Bisque excellent) and entrees which very nicely prepared and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant read more

My family and I go there 15 minutes prior to our reservation, and they told my wife that they sat someone in the table we had reserved, who does that. Then we sat down and ordered drinks, an appetizer and our kids meal at the same time. Not only did we get and eat our appetizer prior to our first round of drinks (2 drinks ordered) our dinners came out prior to our drink. The Nashville hot chicken was awful, processed chicken and not a lot of flavor. The chicken tenders appeared to be the same garbage. When the drinks finally came mine was almost undrinkable. The only saving grace was the waiter and the fact that he took the drinks off our bill. I would never go back there! Just a warning to anyone that goes. I wasn't expecting fine dining or anything fancy because it was attached to a kids place, but I expected more attention to detail and better food.
