While this is not a mind-blowing eatery, you CAN get a healthy meal here for under $10, which is extremely difficult to do in this neighborhood. The food here can be a hit or miss, depending on the day and what time you come in, but sometimes, they have really good food, such as fresh grilled salmon and a nice variety of fresh vegetables. This place was kind of hard to find, but once I found it (in the lobby of the office building across from Grand Central station), it was a huge relief to go there for lunch compared to the countless other places nearby which only offer high-carb/high-calorie lunch options for no less than $15.

I almost ate there everyday when I worked in the building. Both breakfast and lunch were great. Very broad selections of yogurt, fruits, meat, fish, carbs, etc. I prefer the food from hot/cold bars to the made-to-order counter. Sushi was very fresh and tasty. Bagels were okay but cannot compete with many other bagel stores in the city. Be careful how much you take because the price adds up very quickly.

This place is super convenient being that I work right here. Awesome variety of delicious food, yet to try it all hehe. My favorites are usually the Shrimp Fried Rice (way better than Chinese take out), avocado salad and veggie spring rolls. The only downside is that the place runs a be pricey, but then again it's The City! Specially recommend this place if you work here!

6b is a solid choice for fast and decent lunch in Grand Central. Pros: * Spacious food court. When we go around 1-2PM you don't have to wait for a communal table. * Lots of food options. I personally go for the sushi where you can try a medley of different rolls from Tempura Shrimp, Spicy Crunchy Tuna/Salmon, regular Tuna/Salmon, eel and crab rolls. 6 rolls and pinch seaweed salad for under $7. The freshness of fish and fish-rice ratio is great! * Also love the Shumai and Sauteed Mushrooms. Make sure to watch how much you're putting in your box because it can quickly rack up to over $15!

Hidden gem, buried in the basement of One Grand Central Place! It's one of the best midtown buffet/deli lunch spots - and less crowded than the others. The space is contemporary and uniquely designed with for-sale art pieces on the wall. 6B offers a wide variety of hot and cold lunch buffet items, which are fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. The menu changes daily but some highlights include: build you own salad with 15+ ingredients, fried soft-shell crab, croquettes, and salmon ceviche. I haven't tried the made-to-order items, but I would expect it to be just as good as the other items. La Colombe Coffee is sold here, too!

Short ribs, pasta with roasted salmon, chicken wrapped brie and spinach, ton of guac & pico de gallo.

I've been wondering for the longest time if this place had a yelp page, just so I can rave about it! Indeed 6b is a hidden gem! For the past year, I've been hitting this place up for breakfast/lunch at least 3-4 times a week. Food is NEVER hit or miss. The buffet offers such an eclectic and creative variety. They get slaphappy with the kale and quinoa, but at least it's healthy. Their best hits are the Chinese food, fried soft-shell crab, and pesto filet mignon. On Mondays and Tuesdays, they'll have guacamole and pico de gallo with chips. (No extra guac charge, since it's buffet style. You can just fill up your box with those bad boys.) Alternatively, the salad bar is always very fresh and delicious. Most importantly, their prices are relatively fair. A New Yorker knows what an $8 buffet box feels like. I'm never taken by surprise when my box is weighed.

a little of everything, salmon, avocado, mozzarella, turkey wrapped sushi, black bean rice, Mac n cheese, asparagus, grilled chicken.

We were not sure what to eat while running errands in NYC so found this place on yelp. It was hard to find because it's inside the building. We grabbed a little bit of everything like salmon, mozzarella, grilled chicken, asparagus, avocado, shrimp salad, spinach, couscous salad with salmon, black bean rice, Mac and cheese and the best part is the sushi tasted so fresh we had the turkey wrapped spicy tuna and tuna salmon wrap no rice. 11.50/lb not that bad.

    Big bowl! Costs $13

Okay buffet deli place in Grand Central area for busy office workers. The place is hidden in a building between 41st and 42nd on Madison and I couldn't even see it's name until I walked out and was still in disbelief to see 6b (what kind of name was that?!). The buffet area was really big and had a couple of sections: salad, side dishes, meat and SUSHI! I was a fan for sushi and the sushi here was not bad and they had my favorite EEL SUSHI. The rest of things were nothing special but standard for a quick lunch. The checkout line could be really long during rush hours and might take 3~5 minutes to get to the cashier. The price was slightly higher than other deli places in the area (somehow)... Don't think I will make the hike to this place again to meet the big crowd while paying more, when I have cheaper and as good options available just under my building.

What time of day does breakfast end and lunch begin? If I want french toast made to order can I get that any time of the day?

Breakfast ends around 1030am. Lunch items begin coming out at 11am. You can ask the manager if you want French toast, but probably better to ask the day before so they can prepare for it.

I came here to throw down on some seafood and that's exactly what we did. I found out about this place because one of my favorite TikTok foodies posted that she came here when she was visiting from Chicago. It was also my friend's birthday so we figured we'd check it out. If you come with a group of 4 or more, including the birthday person, they eat for free, which is a pretty nice perk. This place lived up to every bit of the hype. We did the $125 option which includes lobster. If you have people in your group who are on the fence about spending the extra money, just remind them it's only about $35 more and that's basically the cost of one lobster anywhere else. Here you're getting unlimited lobster. The food literally just kept coming. At one point we were running out of room on the table. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed and started putting multiple items on the same plates instead of bringing everything out separately. It sounds small but it actually helped a lot and showed they were paying attention. The drinks weren't super strong but they definitely weren't weak either. If you love seafood, come hungry and bring a group. The vibes were great, the service was on point, and we left absolutely stuffed.

It's honestly a seafood lover's dream. I highly recommend coming with a large group so you can try a bit of everything. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.

Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated.
