Wooga is very convenient especially if you're heading to or from MSG. It is literally right across the street so it's an easy pick if you're looking for a casual spot for drinks and korean bar food. The space has a fun vibe with tons of tv's throughout. Showing a variety of sports games. One thing to note is that they play Korean music so you won't hear the game audio. Unless you sit right by the bar. Something to keep in mind depending on what kind of viewing experience you're looking for. I went after the game at MSG and it was a great place to wind down. For the table we got the pepper fried chicken which was crispy, well seasoned chicken thigh pieces with peppers. For my main, I ordered the beef tartare bibimbap, which came with rice and a selection of small dishes. Portion size was great. We also added the parmesean French fries for a small bite which came with two different dipping sauces. To finish it off, we got dessert. Which was the cheesecake topped with strawberry drizzle and cornflakes, plus two scoops of raspberry ice cream and one scoop of chocolate ice cream. Everything about the meal was great. We visited Wooga for dinner the night we arrived in NYC at the recommendation of lunch server. If we were in party mode, this would be a great spot! It's dark with neon decor and great music. The menu is interesting. I expected only Asian but it was fusion. We were a party of 3. One friend ordered a teriyaki beef dish, one ordered something called cheese dukbokki, and I ordered rose pasta with shrimp. I'm not a huge pasta eater but they had me intrigued with the rose sauce and it was as good as it sounded. The sauce was the best part of the dish. I wasn't impressed with the other two plates and neither were the gals who ordered them. The non-alcoholic beverages such as Coke Zero are not fountain drinks and are served individually. A small group of us came on a Thursday evening for happy hour and it was pretty packed. We had to wait for seating at the bar to open up. The ambiance near the bar area is completely different from the area in the back. The back is more fine dining vibes. This spot became quite popular recently due to its affordable all you can eat Korean barbecue buffet lunch special, and I had a chance to visit for a work lunch last week. For $23 (excluding tax and tips), you get to choose from a buffet of Korean barbecue meats, rice, pasta, sushi, kimbap, soups and fruits. You get an hour which I think is enough for that price to be honest and you'll likely fill up quite quickly if you get a lot of the meats. I thought the selection was pretty great and tasted just as great! I'd say the only thing I wish was on there would have been pork belly but the pig trotters were also very nice. Maybe they have them for the dinner menu. Other than that, for just $23 a person, it was definitely worth what was available. Came in for the special which was the $10 for all you can eat wings til the last day of February. First we waited on line for a good hour til the doors opened. I saw previously from their Instagram posts that there will be a long line. So we decided to get there early. When the doors opened, they sat everyone at the bar for the special. Huge bar. I was so intrigued by the setup of this restaurant. Walking in, you'll see an area that looks like a typical bar on a Friday night. (Even on a Monday evening, the bar area looked almost fully seated, but that might have been because of the grand opening promotion.)
