I came back specifically for their hot Thai tea--it's only $3.50 for a generous, great-sized cup, and it is absolutely delicious. The gentleman at the counter is incredibly friendly and crafts every single drink with so much care. On my first visit, I ordered a cappuccino, a hazelnut latte, and a hot Thai tea. I actually got lucky that day because a previous customer had left a "pay it forward" in their menu; so one of my drinks was free! I made sure to pay it forward as well for the next person. I love that they encourage that kind of community vibe. Tip: They do have parking, but keep your eyes peeled because it's on a busy street and can be easy to miss. I politely asked if I could switch to a different drink, but was told no because of the store's policy. While I understand that policies exist, I later called the customer service number listed on their social media to confirm that this was indeed their policy. Instead of addressing my question, the person I spoke with seemed more concerned about asking, "How did you get this phone number?" That interaction felt unprofessional and dismissive. My second visit wasn't much better. My friend and I walked in, and the cashier didn't greet us or acknowledge that she'd be with us shortly. She was making another drink, looked over at us, then looked away, and we waited about five minutes without any acknowledgment. When the customer she was helping came up to pick up their drink, she took the time to have a brief conversation with them while we continued waiting to order. When she finally came over, there was no apology for the wait or even a simple "Hi, how are you?"--just, "What can I get you?" The coffee may be good, but customer service plays a big role in the overall experience. Based on my two visits, I think there's a lot of room for improvement in how customers are welcomed and treated. Unfortunately, these interactions have made me hesitant to return.

The croissant sandwich had a thin slice of apple and sliced ham and cheese. The middle plate had freshly baked scones served with passion fruit curd. They were delicious and had a slight crunch on the edges of the scone as you bit into it. The top plate held desserts : individual fruit tart , french macarons( not made inhouse), and a lavender infused dessert with a creamy center. Every dessert was a "delight" to eat! Everyone who came with us to have tea, was impressed with The Hen and Drake and would definitely come back here.
