Basically they will fry any fish behind the glass counter, so nothing prepacked. The flavor choices are lemon pepper and Cajun, and possibly one more. When you select your fish, the butcher will ask you to wait around 10 minutes, so you can continue shopping. The finished product is so perfect and such an awesome deal when you think about it. I ordered 2 huge pieces of tilapia and 3 pieces of swai for around $15 (varying based on the market price). One piece of fish cooked this good would cost at least $20 to $30 on a plate with sides at a restaurant. Anyway, I was so satisfied and I plan to do this once or twice a month. Also, love the cleanliness and customer service at this Ralph's overall. That's why I come back.

Their display doesn't hold very many I suppose as they're weren't any available. I was able to pickup some other house deli salads that were marked down. I got a small broccoli salad with bacon as I've never had it before. A very tasty side salad. I picked up a medium sized edamame caviar salad. I'm sure there's no actual caviar in there. It's a edamame salad that includes garbanzos, moong bean, pearled barley, rice, navy bean, couscous, wheat berry, diced red & green onion, red pepper, sea salt, and EVOO. I'm not sure all incredients were in there. No barley, rice, couscous, nor wheat berry! WTH??? I also picked up the SW Style Taco Salad with Chicken... Hmm, not a very tasty salad and will choose others that are better in taste and flavor. Even at a reduced mark down, not a salad I'd enjoy. The Turkey BLT Salad was slightly better but I picked out the cucumbers that were already shopping signs of mold. I rate this variety better than the taco salad. The simplest broccoli salad was the best of the four I selected. The bean salad has a misleading label on it. Only edamame and garbanzo in there.

Last week I loaded up on six New York steaks for $8.99/lb, and this week they have porterhouse steaks for $9.99/lb which I also loaded up on. I put the individual steaks in plastic wrap, then a layer of aluminum foil, and put them in a zip lock bag and get out as much air as possible before sealing and putting them in the freezer. This keeps them good for a long time, and I just keep buying them when great deals like this are available. There are usually two or three steaks per package, and it seems like they often put a really good cut in with a not as good cut. Look thru them all to find the best pairs with two good cuts. Every time I walk into the store, there is a sushi station right by the east entrance where somebody is always there making fresh sushi daily. It always looks so good and fresh. You can either choose from what is on display, or place an order and pick it up later after it has been prepared. I called ahead and asked if they I could order sashimi, and was happy when they said yes because I've only seen sushi on display before. I ordered half salmon and half tuna ($8.99), and it was ready when I arrived 20 minutes later. The sashimi was so fresh, and the pieces were surprisingly bigger and thicker than I expected. It came with a package of soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi. This was far superior to a sashimi sampler I ordered from another restaurant this past weekend, and this was several dollars cheaper. Judy, who was at the counter today, was so kind and friendly. I do pick up some regular grocery items from time to time, and their prices seem to be on par with or just slightly below my regular grocery store. I'll continue to take advantage of their great sales on steak. I'm happy I finally tried their sushi, it's great!

I went to get a soda and was going to add the pack of gushers but it rang up almost $5 so I inquired about the deal. She said it just expired and that she couldn't do anything to honor it. A response I knew could come, but she was a bit rude about it. Same to the customer in front my me. She picked items based on a deal advertised and then it was expired and not honored. Safe to say, I got my drink, declined the gushers, and will not be back!

But I know both nine locations have the same owner. I visited this location and bought my usual, a Lotta Colada Buzzball. When I opened it (as soon as I walked out, I was not driving) I noticed the liquid was clear and not the milky white color it should be. The taste was AWFUL! I walked back in and told the cashier that it was a bad batch. He instantly became very defensive and rude, accusing me of endangering HIM with my open container and that I couldn't possibly have a bad buzzball because they don't go bad. NEWSFLASH- BAD BATCHES DO EXIST. Then he told me that they do not do returns or exchanges anyway and to leave the store. Okay, that's fine. But I'll never be back to either location. I've worked in customer service for over 20 years and this owner needs to provide some CS training for staff because clearly, it's lacking at both locations.
