Lights on doors locked. What a joker.
    Scott L.

Why does this store consistently lock their doors during business hours? I see the guy inside...doesn't even have the decency to look at the door when people are trying to get in. Another joke of a 7-11 destroying a once mighty brand.

Zioom in to see employers closed sign

Over the past few months this location is closed at 5, 5:30, and I even seen 6:00A. It used to be a great location, but if you arrive at 5:00AM the "new" employee is sitting behind the counter with a hand written Closed Sign on the door. Not only is the owner losing revenue with new sales, but they are also being stolen from by a poor employee sleeping behind the counter. Today I arrived at 5:30 and the only reason the door was open is because of a delivery person. I grabbed a few products and went to the counter and the employee (Mr. Dredds) said they are closed and come back later - I told him I was there to purchase and since it's after 5:30 to ring me up - the attitude I got was ridiculous- this store is convenient, but I can no longer patronize a business that doesn't care about customers!

I didn't know what to expect since this hidden gem is located on a church campus but such a great experience. It was a Saturday morning, I was anticipating a super crowded/busy place but the morning ended up being super sleepy. I brought a laptop to work on travel planning as my "craft." Super easy to park, connect to wifi and grab snacks and coffee from the wonderful barista. For a while, it was me, the barista, another gentleman (working solo) and two ladies catching up in one of the many tables to catch up at. When my friends arrived, we were able to push two tables together to have enough chairs and table space since people brought diamond paintings, cross stitch, and coloring workbooks to work on. It was a lovely time. A group of ladies did come in later and started playing mah jong. Toward the end of our meetup, folks were coming in with flowers, dresses, and tuxedos in preparation for a wedding happening later that day. Overall a great place to meetup. There's a nice group/conference room that looks like it could be reserved for larger parties, but most of the tables were for two people... three 4-tops and then a couple of other tables with more lounge chairs (for groups of 4). I have an older laptop so I'm stuck looking for power, there were a couple tables situated close to outlets and then a large wrap around bar in the center that I spied a few outlets but not all the seating had access to power.

There's ample seating, and on the Wednesday late morning that I stopped in, a smattering of folks were quietly working. The pastries are displayed along the counter, and there's also a chalkboard with their empanada offerings. I got a pineapple-stuffed pastry stick, pan de bono (cheese bread), and guava & cheese empanada to go with our iced brown sugar cinnamon latte & iced vanilla latte (both with oat milk). I love the tropical/Colombian touches to the food offerings, and they were all delish! I especially enjoyed the empanada since it was served hot with a flaky crust and perfect amount of filling. Highly recommend coming in if you're in the area and looking for a caffeine + sweet treat boost!

I've been to so many coffee shops in my life, and Qahwah House was the first time, if not ever, then definitely in a long time, that I felt like I experienced something unique. I loved it. Overall, I loved Qahwah House, and I'll assuredly be back as soon as I can. I'd also recommend it to anybody looking for something new to experience!

I read through some of the other reviews and I want to set the record straight. Yes, it's inside a church but there is a separate entrance. Yes, there are Christian books but also other genres. Yes, the coffee is very affordable BECAUSE all the staff are volunteers. No one is getting paid and they LOVE what they do. All smiles and great service. The proceeds go to local and global missions of the church. Win, win all the way around. The place itself is very spacious. Two levels. The seating areas are comfortable and far enough apart you can have some semiprivacy if you need it. My friend who brought me says she comes here all the time to study (she's in college). All of the staff knew her by name. (love places like that) I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't really speak to the coffee (although my friend says it's pretty good). I am a tea drinker though and they have a variety of flavors, some refresher juice drinks, a few pastries. Please support. Every now and again if you're thinking of getting coffee or a pastry, choose them. Why not? Do some good for the community through others who are committed to giving back.
