This was my first visit, and I must say I was very pleased with my pistachio latte. It was delicious! I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.
First off, the Turkish coffee is amazing! Never burnt, which is my biggest complaint at some of the other coffee places nearby. But not here! It's fresh, made to order, and a huge serving. I don't even drink the whole pot because that's just too much caffeine for me lol. I also really loved the savory pastries they have, very complimentary to their coffee. The service is very kind and they give you a buzzer to easily come pick up your order when it's ready. The ambiance was great the last time I went in. They had wifi available if I needed it, but it wasn't overpacked so I could work a bit when I first came in and then was able to still hear my friend when she came over. It has nicely spaced tables so you aren't as boxed in as you are in some of the other coffee places in this area. Overall, my favorite place to grab a Turkish coffee in Charlotte. Yummy coffee, nicely spaced tables, free wifi, good service, and not overly packed. My go-to coffee spot in Plaza Midwood!
Finally I got to try it. This little place is beautiful. There's so much seating in the back if you can't find one in the front. The staff are super friendly and attentive and it's just nice. Very clean and professional inside. I heard about the fruit desserts and wanted to stop in and try. Luckily I walked in when they were bringing in a new batch and they were so kind to grab me a mango and banana. I got a Dubai cheesecake as well. I also got a mocha coffee. I wasn't a fan of the fruit desserts but the visual was great. The Dubai cheesecake was very good as well. I also like the coffee and would go back just for that. I paid 50$ for the 4 items. So it was a bit pricey but I think for the value it's worth the treat and flavor. I would absolutely go back.
Coffee enthusiasts ASSEMBLE!!! Made the mistake of NOT coming here to do work though CORRECTED that mistake by closing down the night here. Lovely atmosphere, and love learning about coffee. I got the Yemeni chocolate (stuffed with kanafe, surprise!) and a decaf Yemeni latte because I needed to sleep in a couple of hours. Neither disappointed! They also roast in house, so I brought back a 1/2 lb bag. Owner told me to wait a day or so, since they had just roasted the beans the night before (allows beans to rest and the flavors to come out). When I brewed them with my Fellow back home Make this a definite stop!
This business share building with other businesses so just be sure you can find their entrance. The parking is very limited so you may have to park further away if it's busy. The pastries are good. I got the pistachio milk cake but felt like it's too milky. My friend got the mocha cake and she love it. I got brown sugar latte but it wasn't sure enough. She got the caramel macchiato and liked it. I do love the space that's for sure. It's so so so much bigger than haraz. Love that when it's busy, you can find seating as opposed to Haraz, it makes you feel like you don't even want to stay when you see how busy it is inside. I would come here again. Would love to try their other pastries.
This is an interesting new Yemen style coffee house. I ordered a chai tea latte. It had such interesting flavor! Unlike any chai I've had. My husband got a latte of some sort and it also had a unique flavor going on. They both tasted good and really fresh! Just totally different flavors than we are used to. I would go back and try more things. Keep in mind they don't really have food, just a pastry case full of desserts I've never heard of before. Try it out and see what you think!
Everytime I go, the coffee is consistently excellent. I love the pistachio latte with oat-milk. The atmosphere is nice and situated on a very cute side street lined with homes and small businesses. The staff is always helpful and professional and make sure your orders are just right. I went once and accidentally got the wrong order- I called and they literally remade the whole thing and replaced the entire order with no issue. I'd say it's my top 5 coffee shops in CLT.
Best Matcha Latte that I've ever had. Usually Matcha has some sort of after taste thing that I don't vibe with, but this one didn't at all. We didn't like the pastry selection so we walked to Haraz for that, but I definitely like the matcha better here. The ambiance is also bigger than Haraz and not as crowded. Its a nice vibe!
This is really a nice coffee shop to work at when you want to get out of the house. They have an amazing strawberry matcha that is really good! The service here was friendly and willing to suggest good food items as well! I highly recommend coming early! It's gets packed in the AM.
One of my fav spot back in NYC also came to Charlotte! Their chai is so good. Guess now Plaza area has two spots, hope they open more The space is large, good for groups.
Nice and spacious coffee shop in plaza Midwood. I loved how they had lots of seating inside and outside. The decor is very nice as well. I got the hazelnut dessert and it was good but it's was expensive for the size. It was pretty small. I also would have liked it to have more hazelnut flavor. I would like to come back and try their coffee another time.
Beyond excited to have this unique new spot in the neighborhood! We came in this afternoon for drinks and a snack and were blown away by everything we tried. First of all, the space is beautiful - the high ceilings combine with stone and wood accents to make for an airy, inviting atmosphere. The staff couldn't be nicer - we decided to try the pistachio and brown sugar lattes (both iced) with the honeycomb pastry. I truly don't think I have ever tasted anything quite as good as that pistachio latte. We both couldn't get over that one! The brown sugar latte was also fantastic - I tasted lots of warming spices like cinnamon and nutmeg - and the honeycomb came out warm and drizzled with honey... holy moly. Unbelievable. The bread reminded me of a yeast roll, and several pockets of it had a cream cheese mixture that's tartness was perfectly balanced with the sweet honey. We already can't wait to come back. Such an incredible new addition to Plaza Midwood!
Not much of a coffee drinker but my wife enjoyed their Yemen coffee, and I enjoyed the tea. We came here to try their new pink dragon frappe which was delicious. It was more like a milkshake. We also got a fruit tea and strawberry matcha tea which were all good. This is located in the Plaza Midwood area of Charlotte so have to find street parking. The interior decor is really nice. It feels really upscale inside. The patio is pretty big and shaded which is where we decided to sit since it wasn't too hot the morning we went. The staff is also super helpful with helping you decide and describe the items on their menu. A nice spot to hang out grab a few delicious drinks, work, or even just chat.

Qahwah House was such a cool coffee shop! As a history and coffee nerd, I can honestly say that I think that this was the first time that a coffee shop made me smarter. That's because they had a huge map outlining the historical trade routes that coffee beans were transported on, as well as an homage to some of the patrons of coffee cultivation. They backed up these historical displays with great customer service, a solid cup of coffee, and a truly mesmerizing ambiance. I've been to so many coffee shops in my life, and Qahwah House was the first time, if not ever, then definitely in a long time, that I felt like I experienced something unique. I loved it. Overall, I loved Qahwah House, and I'll assuredly be back as soon as I can. I'd also recommend it to anybody looking for something new to experience! read more

Had a really great first experience here - great drinks and service - but they fell through recently. They had staff in training that didn't quite know how to take orders or make the drinks - so, my order was almost incorrect, and my drink came out much different than the first time. I was disappointed as I loved the iced Yemini latte, but I'm not sure if I can get it again. Drinks are also very expensive. read more

Really liked this place and would definitely recommend it. The Yemeni honeycomb pastry was delicious, served warm with honey drizzled on top. I also tried the Spanish iced coffee with condensed milk, and I'd come back just for that coffee. It was smooth and felt good quality coffee, absolutely worth ordering. The refresher was good too, though a little on the sweeter side. Gabriel did an excellent job explaining the menu and provided friendly, genuine service. The ambiance is cozy, with nice décor and Yemeni touches around the dining area. read more

I've been to the Chicago location and first time at the Charlotte one! I like that there is room to sit there and eat and drink coffee/tea. The service is also really good! Everyone was friendly and gave us samples of the adeni chai. I got the honeycomb thing and it was really good! read more

I really enjoyed this place and look forward to returning! I ordered an iced Adeni Chai and it was very delicious. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming and gave great suggestions. The space is really open and enjoyable. My friend got a small pot of the Adeni Chai which is enough for two people. It's definitely a lovely place to get together with friends and enjoy tea and pastries! read more
After a long walk in the neighborhood we decided to stop by this newish coffee shop for a delicious treat and there were no regrets! Everything was a 10 out of 10, the service, the tea, the food, the decoration! I can't recommend this business enough and it needs to become a staple in the plaza neighborhood! I tried a traditional dessert from Yemen was flaky, but also buttery, cheesy, honeyey and soft at the same time. They warm it up for you so with every bite it literally melts in your mouth! I was also lucky enough to try some traditional black tea and all I can say is this coffee shop makes the best tea I probably ever had! Delicious and please go support!! read more

This place is HUGE! The couple of times I've gone it was first thing in the morning so I've yet to see a crowd there but I'm sure it can get packed out. There's also a huge patio so ample space. My only con to this place is the parking, but that's not their fault. Every place in plaza lacks parking so this is something you just have to be prepared for when you're in the area! Incredible feels too light of a word to describe this place. Let's start with the pastries. The molten carrot cake is extremely moist, and just melts slowly away in your mouth. The most decadent carrot cake I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. The honeycomb pastry was out of this world. The puff pastry filled with cream cheese and topped with honey is simple, but rich, creamy, and delicious. The decaf iced brown sugar latte and hot caramel macchiato hit the spot beautifully and really rounded out the perfect pastry breakfast. Will definitely be coming back before returning to Florida. read more

What a great addition to diversify the coffee scene in Charlotte. The indoor is beautiful and the intricate details in the decor add such a nice touch. It's a family owned coffee shop, and they truly want you to feel connected with their culture, which is beautiful. The pistachio and Yemeni lattes were both delicious. I also ordered a spinach and feta pastry, which was buttery and delicious, and the service was quick with very kind employees. I'll definitely be back here! read more

You gotta love a good coffee spot. Stopped by for a quick break. Ordered the Pumpkin spice latte which consisted of a balance of flavors, very delicious. My husband ordered the Pumpkin spice Aerocano which was packed with medium strong coffee and a perfect amount of pumpkin flavor. We also ordered a few sweet treats. The Honey layer cake wasn't as expected it needs more honey but it is light and airy. The Lemon cheesecake wasn't so elegant with a mouth full of lemon flavors, tastes like a lemon cookie or lemon curd. The Hazelnut dream was our least favorite it was beyond blend no flavor, no hazelnut, and had a medicine taste. And last but not least we ordered the Yemen chocolate which was absolutely delicious, nice chocolate layers, crunchy and packed with pistachio and chocolate flavors. Bottom layered with a brownie. Overall, I would definitely come here again. The stuff was friendly and very informative on the menu, the food was perfection and the coffee is what brings this place together. read more

I'm in love with this place. It has become a favorite place to spend time in the afternoon with a lovely pot of Adeni Chai!!! Yum! People are friendly and inviting! There is a small section of sweet and savory items to pair with their large selection of tea and coffee. Note you have the option of having a pot of tea if you would prefer over a cup. Enjoy!!! read more

Never seen a coffee shop like this, coffee was amazing and you could taste the quality in the pistachio latte, so delicious! Strawberry matcha was also good but a little bit too sweet for my personal taste. Came by next day after trying because was obsessed with the pistachio latte and can't wait for the next one, great service, ambiance is very chill, and also very good croissants here! read more

We love the ambiance and especially the coffee and baked goods at Qahwah. Not-too-sweet mocha lattes. And try the Mofawar coffee with cardamom. And my favorite pastry is the Sabaya warmed up and served with honey. read more
