Yesterday I went to 7-11 for a soft drink and decided to get an iced coffee instead of a diet coke. I had many options for coffee flavors but I chose the machine dispensed cold brew. It was easy enough to dispense with a Big Gulp cup with ice. I also added a low quality cinnamon that they provided on the counter near the coffee. I went to go pay and had to wait for the employees who were to busy yapping with each other. And the young man who helped me needs to do better with customer service. How about a greeting or a thank you or can I help you with anything else. Nada. I got what I came here for, thanks bud for nothing. So, as I consumed my iced coffee through out the day, I'm reaffirming that I will not get this flavor again. It didn't agree with me. read more

I like this 7-11 - It doesn't make me feel entirely gross when I enter, and there is one guy employee in particular who is really nice to all of the customers. This 7-11 is wedged between an off ramp from the 170 and a gas station, which makes for a really tiny parking lot. On top of having a small lot, it shares it with a dry cleaner and a bartender school. So parking is sometimes a true test of patience. read more

Ive noticed that if you pay with cash at this 7/11 they try to rip you off. My total came out to 5.49 and i paid with $10 but he gave me 4.11 my change should have been 4.51 but he gave me 4.11 so i told him about it and he gave me my money back but i shouldn't have to ask for my MONEY. This same 7/11 has done it to my friend too, he's a bank teller so he noticed rite away and told them too. Sandeep the cashier who rung us up was extremely disrespectful! California law states when using an EBT card that you are entitled to receive a free bag for your purchases. Not only did he charge us for the bag, but when we informed him off the law and company policy as we have dealt with this same issue at another 7/11 he became very dismissive and treated us like we were less than! You should not as a company highlight, promote, and encourage people to use their ebt cards with you when you intend to treat the ones who do use it as 2nd class citizens. I will NEVER return to this location and am reconsidering patronizing 7/11 at all due to the inconsistencies from your franchises, it's owners, and their employees choosing which policy's they will be honoring! read more

All 711s are the same and they are all great. They have a consistent product and have been described as a "casino of junk food". Convenience, candy, Double Gulp, yay! This one is fun because a homeless lady comes in sometimes and shoplifts whatever she wants while she yells profanities at the sales clerk who is too frightened to do anything except yell back. One time I saw the owner fight her off the premises. I'm pretty sure he could've been a member of Seal Team 6 if he'd put his mind to it. Once I got a compliment on my outfit by a man in a Barbie t-shirt and miniskirt who subsequently stole his slurpee. See! It's fun! read more

It only makes sense for us to frequent this 7-11 with it being just down the street from Kieran's. Most 7-11's give me the creeps, but for whatever reason this one has different 'feel' to it. Maybe it's the mini produce section towards the front or the cashier that knows what we want before we've even gotten to the register. During Christmas time they had Lakers Stockings. Unfortunately they were too pricey for what we would want to be for Christmas "decor" so the guy gave us a discount for being such loyal customers. Another good experience? One time we were in a rush to grab some beers and head back for a BBQ we were hosting and the guy ran after us to let us know he accidentally through in a Kern's nectar (from the customer behind us) with our stuff. He offered to reimburse us but we just said we'll buy this one and Kieran went and got the go behind us a new one. It was all gravy. Oddly enough, everyone in there is always really friendly. 7-11 is my go-to store if I ever need a banana, a quart of motor oil, a ribbed condom, a mango Snapple and a couple of bottles of NyQuil at 4:30 in the morning. This particular 7-11 on the corner of Burbank Blvd and Hollywood way, features it's own homeless guy! And this is not one of those fly-by-night homeless guys. This one has been on this corner (on this bus bench) for at least 14 years--the entire time my wife and I have lived in and around Burbank. He's a sort of scraggly white guy, almost always facing the Burbank Blvd street, wearing headphones and poking at some sort of phone or video game (where does he charge them up?) generally making himself look very busy doing nothing at all. Although he doesn't bother anybody for money he does turn around and face the store when he gets hungry or thirsty, parking his buttocks on the edge of a trash can, and putting on his most pathetic face, complete with slouched shoulders, miserable expression and downcast eyes. It must work! People see him and give him loose change, folding green and food items. I once saw him with a whole large pizza from Dino's across the street, but for the most part this guy has survived on "food" from the 7-11 itself! So it's true! You can live on "food" from a 7-11, say 98% of everything you eat, and not die immediately! Around 4:00 PM every day, he packs up this complicated wagon-looking-thingie he wheels around everywhere, and crosses Hollywood Way, arriving shortly at the bus bench in front of the 76 station, where he sleeps on the uneven metal bench, and becomes their mascot for a few hours. People wanting to use the benches for the actual purpose of catching a bus, should do so at their own peril. But anyway, go to this 7-11, and give the homeless guy my kindest regards when you see him. read more

This is one of the best in north hollywood The other reviews that are lower are stupid. There is no way this store has less than a three. The 7 eleven stores in the immediate area are all connected. They use the phone for safety in the case they get robbed. The other store can call the police. That's why if you notice they all are on the phone at every store if they are working alone There is only one guy who is kind of a dick he's and older guy and he works in the morning and he just don't like to be fucked with sbd doesn't take any shit from the homeless, the highschool kids, or random assholes. As far as 7-11s go, this one is fun. I would usually walk here from my apartment just getting close to the 2am cutoff. There was always two people working and they both used to love to mess with me. Whatever they would say, I was the sap who believed it, sometimes either freaking out ("Sorry, your cash is fake.'), getting mad(me knowing it's 1:30am "Man, can't sell to ya, it's 2:30 am.), searching on the ground ("Hey I think you dropped your credit card over there by the bathroom"), arguing about what time it was, etc. They made the hard task of buying last minute beer a fun thing for me. This is my fave 711 for 1 reason: the employees. Having been a regular for about 6 years now, I've developed a friendship with these guys, never in a creepy way. when they barely knew me, they'd always make light-hearted jokes and always exchanged some kind of conversation. This is unlike any convenience store experience I've had anywhere.. Regardless of how busy they are, & it can get pretty hectic considering their location, they never make you rush & they always treat you very nicely. Ironically, they make you feel like family in a store where most people just go for a quick food/drink stop. These people are incredibly hard workers and no matter what time of day you walk in, they always have a smile on their face... This is the reason why I choose to go in here every morning for my coffee... Unlike any other 711 in my experience!!!! read more

Stumbling into a 7-Eleven at 3am, you really aren't expecting to see a whole lot. However, this 7-Eleven rarely strays from the norm and gives you exactly what you are looking for during those nights when you just need a quick cheese fix. 7-Elevens are a dime-a-dozen, there's plenty around and they aren't all that different. This specific location could have better parking and a better organizational structure inside, but they generally have at least something that will hold you over until you get to drive to a more acceptable place tomorrow. If you're looking for a 7-Eleven, I would say that this is just as good as the rest of them. If you're looking for a place to shop or somewhere more full of substance, I suggest you keep heading up Magnolia to a CVS or a Ralph's. This 7-Eleven is still just a 7-Eleven, but "just a 7-Eleven" is still not that bad. read more

Not at all satisfied by the employees there. The service is moderate if not poor. I was even refused service because I had "too much change" and the employee "had to leave in 10 mins." I would rather walk to another 7-eleven that is much further than come back to this one. The only good thing I can say about it is that it is conveniently close to my home. I've been coming here for more than 14 years. I get along with everybody. From Govinda to Fayaz the manager. Today, cashier was effing rude. Looks like haven't slept for three days. grouchy Inattentive. Always on the phone talking loudly in his language. I was just asking if I can have a box of pizza and he said there's only one piece left which it looks like it's been there the whole day. So I said nicely if I can have a box of pizza x3 to him and he kept saying theres no more and grab the last pizza and throw it in the trash.. So I asked him loudly if he can make one box of pizza and he started throwing an attitude and kept talking madly in his language on the phone.. This is unacceptable. So I asked his name and he kept mumbling saying it quietly. He is young dark complexion unfriendly and always on the phone. I'm a local resident and unfortunately a smoker, thus I frequent my local 7-11 daily to purchase smokes. My complaint is the guy who works nights and is there when I come into buy my smokes or a beer after a long day. I will first say that I am going to quit smoking soon and that this 7-11 is actually helping me move forward with this, since the clerk I deal with always makes me feel like a third class citizen. First off, thus clerk is always on the phone, a Bluetooth earpiece. He never asks more than a one syllable word. I usually tell him what I want, then use hand signals to correct him. 7-11 has a deal when you buy 2 packs, which saves me a couple bucks. I always seem to have to use two fingers after i ask for two packs of Marlboro. He always seems to do the least and not pay attention to a customers request. I do give him credit for having a life. I personally cannot think of anyone that I could have such a prolonged conversation with on the phone. His lack of attention is only a minor bother. I can see that he is not too happy with his job. Still, that depresses me abit. I guess my main complaint is that whenever I buy anything, he leaves the items on his side of the counter. Doesn't offer a bag or any normal felicitations, such as thanks / have a nice day. He's on the phone or when he is not, he will put your change in your hand and nod, but still dies nit push your items towards you. I'm really not this way, but what prompted me to write this review was that tonight, a smoking hot young woman was in front of me tonight, when I was buying my daily dose of smokes, and the young man at the counter removed his earpiece and engaged in a brief conversation with this young beautiful girl. He gave her free plastic bags and smiled at her and waved "thanks and goodnight ". I was next. He put his earpiece back in and his smile left his face. Wow! I never knew that I was hideous. In Ralphs or Trader Joes they don't seem to mind, or atleast put up a good front as I check out and give a courtesy "thanks for shopping here". I'm not the self conscious type, but the 7-11 on Burbank Blvd, NoHo is giving me a complex. I like the prices on cigarettes there, but I know now that smoking is no longer socially acceptable in Los Angeles. So thank you for helping me quit. But I hope your managers read these Yelp reviews, since I have often been in a line of multiple customers and it seems that I am not the only one that gets the silent treatment or being forced to gather their purchases from one side of the counter ( really, when the clerk scans the items, he release them right on the counter in front of him. When people ask for a bag, he often just hands people a bags and leaves them to bag their purchased item "while talking on his earpiece "). I'm trying to feel for the clerk that has a dead end job, but really, it's not a dead end job. He probably family, but earns more than a Rite-Aide cashier. I have never had a cashier at any grocery store ignore me while on a phone call, at a minimum, hold up a finger to say just a minute. I like having a neighborhood quicky mart, but this 7-11 is going off my shopping list. It's not just because of this one employee, I think his brother/cousin is also a dick too and I don't feel like dressing up to get attention to buy daily items. I'm really not hideous and I am / was a loyal shopper to my neighborhood stores. Less than a 1/2 block away us a liquor store and they always say hello when I walk in and seem quite happy to sell me cigarette. That alone makes me feel less ugly (and I'm really not ugly, or so I'm told at Ralphs, Costco or the little liquor store a 1/2 block away from my neighborhood 7-11). I'm writing this mainly to vent, but I do hope that the owners of this local 7-11 will notice. My father always told me that it is better to tell a store why your not shopping there anymore. It's information they should know and can help them make changes. Anyway, I'm done. I was a daily shopper at my local 7-11, often more than just cigarettes. Wish me luck, I'm starting to quit this weekend and can find my other needs at a friendly neighborhood liquor store a half block away. End of review: staff sucks. This is my neighborhood 7-11. I go there often during the day. I use their ATM since I have a credit union for banking and its free for me. Service is great during the day. Most of the staff reconsigned me then, but in the late evening, usually after work for me, I find that I am ignored often, even when I am right at the counter. The past two evenings, around midnight, I had to deal with the only staff there and he was on his cell phone all the time. I wish I knew the language, since it seemed to be a heated conversation. However last evening, I waited at the counter 5 minutes while Gerry? or Gary (he later refused to spell his name for me) was behind the counter but on his phone and did not even look at me as I tried to check out. I decided to just walk away and go down the street. I have delt with him before and he was always on his phone, even while checking people out. Normally, I would not butch about it, until he was more into his phone than taking care of customers. I have never walked out without getting my stuff before, but after being ignored for 5 minutes, I gave up. Bad evening, late night service. Have to give only 2 stars. read more
