Update: Still no refund! Reporting them for violating California's Assembly Bill (AB) 578. This is a clean well stocked grocery store. My review is also not a reflection of the pharmacy. Pharmacy staff are great and helped me fill a prescription that was having distribution issues, they're fantastic. However, as the Amazon Fresh in Encino has closed,I recently started Pavilions grocery delivery.On one occasion I called the store requesting to switch my order to pickup and although the staff told me "no problem pickup anytime after 8" a delivery driver attempted to deliver it anyway. I figured that was a mixup and they did issue me a full refund. I placed the order again and it was delivered the next day without any issues..right to my front door. I was happy. Then I ordered delivery again and my apt complex gate is wide open for deliveries. I live in a large complex with roughly 400 units that consist of 4 buildings enclosed behind a gate. No driver called me that they needed help finding my apt, I was at home waiting for my food. The driver left a photo for outside near a dirt road? I could not find my groceries I searched everywhere and contacted chat immediately. I even sent a pic of my door with my unit number to show where they should have been delivered...clearly not the same as the delivery photo. I was told I would be getting a refund from chat representative, but here I am 4 DAYS LATER and no refund is even pending! The transaction went from pending to fully being charged on my card! I will be filing a chargeback on my card and canceling my fresh pass to stop future deliveries and I will never shop at any Albertsons owned stores again, they've completely lost my business. We bought a loaf of bread at the bakery. At home, Mom discovered it has a huge whole through the middle of the loaf. She called the store, they told her to bring it to customer service. Mom waits in line at customer service, but they are too busy to actually help her. Finally, they took a moment and addressed her. She showed them the loaf, they told her to go exchange it. They didn't refund the cost of the bread or offer a store credit or anything for the inconvenience of driving all the way back to the store. At the bakery, Mom chose a replacement loaf and asked a bakery employee to open it and check to make sure it didn't have a hole. They looked at one slice. She asked them to check the entire loaf since the bad loaf also had a few good slices and they gave her attitude. This is Pavilions' problem. You sold a bad loaf of bread. It was not deliberate. But it is your problem to resolve. So make some attempt at customer service to encourage us to come back to your store. Driving all the way back to the store and waiting in line at customer service and simply getting what we paid for the first time is not resolution. Make an effort. Do better. read more

The store is beautiful--spacious, clean, and well stocked--but checkout accuracy has been a recurring problem. On two separate visits, items marked on sale rang up higher at the register. Even after showing a photo of the shelf tag, the displayed price wasn't honored and the tag was changed. For me, refusing to honor a stated price is an automatic one-star experience. Tip for shoppers: double-check prices at checkout and confirm sale items before paying. Until this is resolved, I'll be shopping at other nearby grocery stores. read more

After having lunch at Mel's Drive In, I noticed that there was Pavilions across the street from Mel's. I needed some baked goods; small pumpkin pie, and variety of bread, bagels, English muffin & I believe that was all that I needed. Employees were very nice, helpful and friendly. Lisa told me where the bread/bake goods isle was, & Sandra was my cashier. Thank God I only purchased bread/bake goods. Everything was double the price than what Vons offers. The reason I am comparing this store to Vons, is because it's the same chain. I only got 5 items and paid $38.35. Just for BREAD! I will stick to my friendly Vons that is conveniently located on Laurel Canyon/Ventura. I would have given them 4 stars, but because of nice service, and convenience, my rating will be 5 stars! They also have self check out. Store was very clean & nicely organized! Underground parking, and didn't really interact with anyone else, or purchased anything else. Full selection of everything. Store was fully stocked & chill Ambiance with overhead music playing that makes your shopping experience more enjoyable. They have everything that any other Super Market has. Richard complete opposite of George very professional, friendly,apologized for George's behalf and offered me refund and complimentary flowers. I haven't had much luck enjoying the Friday $5 specials within the past couple of months. Nasty guacamole was not freshly made. Chemical aftertaste. No St. Louis ribs available as advertised. Nathan's 2 for $5 today not Nathans standard size as what appeared on ad picture and cost just over $15. These were larger and tasted rather salty than standard sized though the brioche buns provided were a nice surprise. Buffalo wings were so overly salty tasting. Many disappointments. Not sure what to experiment with in a way later future. Today I bought three packages of Boars Head meat. When I got home to open it, I noticed each was one day and four days expired on the "use by" date. This is not the first time I've seen expired meat at Pavilions, but the first time I bought it without checking first. Each packaged meat was $12!! Went back to get a full refund, but why do I have to spend my time to do that when they can't do their jobs? All they offered was a refund, not an "I'm sorry you had to eat expired meat and then come back to tell us." Never again. read more

The Keep It Real Guy back from Ralphs at Ventura & Hazeltine in Sherman Oaks. Their you see baggers, 9 check stands open, 5 in the Delli business is booming, a much nicer store than Pavilions! The prices are better, not to mention the service, a larger store than Pavilions. The rest rooms are spotless!! The biggest difference is the Management. At Pavilions the Management from the store Director is very poor!!! Supervisors, Awful!! In fact just terrible!! ! Every time you go in you see someone stealing merchandise right in front of the Supervisors, to the store Security, and they do nothing!!! Remember it always starts at the stop! Their is a reason why this store in under performing with low sales. The management is aware of all of their problems and choose to do nothing about it!! ! Either does Corporate! I just moved back to Sherman Oaks and wanted this grocery store to be my neighborhood grocery store as it is right down the street. I came in and bought $75 worth of groceries Saturday 4. 11. 26 . I even told the cashier Damian that I was coming back to pavilions after years of not shopping with them and he welcomed me back. After I left the store, I went to another grocery store to complete my shopping for the day. when I unloaded all of my bags, I realized I was missing a bag from pavilions. It was nowhere to be found so I took my receipt and went to the same cashier to tell him that my items were missing which were totaling in $45. I'm not sure about you , but I work for my money and I wasn't about to give it away, so I politely explained that my bag was missing and he told me to go ahead and get the items I was missing . When I came back with the items his tune changed to very sarcastic, argumentative and rude . He told me this was my one "get out of jail free card "and to not forget "these" groceries because he is not in the habit of giving away free groceries . He said this very loud I was very embarrassed . I told him I don't know where my bag went and the way he was talking to me was upset upsetting me. He continued to say we can look at the cameras at that point. I told him let's look at them , because my bag was still missing I'm not sure whose error it was so let's find out . I worked for the grocery store industry for 10 years as a cashier when a cashier says "let's look at the cameras" it's an insinuation of theft . In my order was baby food , I'm also a Mexican woman and felt very profiled at that moment . If this is the way cashiers are allowed to speak to their customers I will not be returning. I have more than enough money to pay for my groceries the insinuation and racial undertones were more than insulting especially in this time we live in . I came home Shaking and crying , I even forgot to grab the remaining two item's that were missing but I didn't go back I was to scared . Shame on you Damian at pavilions in Sherman oaks. Love this Pavilions and it's still so new and clean and modern! Parking is very easy in their lot, both covered and uncovered and no matter what time I come, I can always easily find a spot. The store is very bright and easy to navigate. I've never had any issues finding anything and the store employees are all helpful. I've done pick up here as well and while they are a bit slower at coming out than other stores, they've always gotten my order right and they are friendly and enthusiastic when bringing me my bags. I highly recommend joining their rewards program as they make it easy to save with digital coupons, which often includes coupons to their in store Starbucks Cafe! They even give a weekly free item coupon! Every food and drink item I've purchased at this Pavilions has always been fresh and high quality, especially their produce. They have a great selection of organic items. I do wish they had even more of a vegan selection, but I am for the most part able to get a good amount of what I need from here! read more

Wow! They redid this location and it's so clean,well stocked and had a huge parking lot. I liked the selection. They even had pre made charcuterie board and a good wine selection. This place is a joke. They boast luxury selections, but have had the same caviar on display for months and have not restocked. I just sat at the butcher counter and watched what looked like the manager telling all of his coworkers a story and not one person asked me for help. This store is a joke when it comes to customer service even with their caviar missing they haven't offered to even order it or let me know when they can restock it even though I have been in probably five or six times in the last month to try to buy it. Finally I visited this store. After work, I stopped by to pick up bread. I was WOWED and amazed with the transformation. At the entrance, you already can tell that the store is clean, well organized, fully stocked and well lit. You can find the item you're looking for fast as the aisles are well labeled. They even have a big aisle for Kosher. It is a plus because not all grocery stores have this wide variety. I saw one employee replenishing the produce. He greeted me and offered help. Big store. I absolutely love this store. This location is subsequently a block from my bfs place so we can walk. Which makes it very convenient to pop over for anything we may want. Be it a Starbucks, dessert, bottle of wine, their premade food selection is insane. They have sandwiches, sushi, hot food, pizza, tons of stuff to be made while your there in their market. I love their selection of gluten free desserts in the bakery, specialty health items through out, and their wine selection!!!! Huge huge wine options here. This morning I went to Pavilions in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Blvd near my home to buy 2 bottles of Sweet Cream for our coffee. I entered my Pavilion's Loyalty Card Number and paid at the Self Check Out for the 2 items. I was approached aggressively and rudely by Letizia, a Pavilion's employee wearing her name tag working in the Self Check. I paid the amount correctly on my receipt as I showed her. I didn't ask for her assistance. I immediately asked to speak to Richard, the store manager on duty and told him about Letizia's behavior towards me. Richard agreed with me and told me he will report her. This is not a way to treat a Pavilion customer for over 12 years. Next time I will go and buy my groceries at other competing stores. read more

Great local store. Very robust kosher section. Fresh produce. Easy parking. My go-to place for everything I need.

Standard grocery store chain. Prices for some items equal to or above already inflationary and arbitrary SoCal average (i.e., no sense in complaining that Pavillion's is somehow outrageously priced. They are not as bad as Gelson's but then they are suppose to be the "middle-class" option). I will continue to shop here because proximity saves on gas. The Ralph's up the street at Hazeltine was greeted with fanfare as though Disney were dropping a new theme park. It's worse in many ways which is why I try to avoid shopping there. But there are a few discontents particular to the Sherman Oaks Pavilion's that the store could address and should address. And as I have read other experience which mirror mine, I must assume there is more going on other than my bad luck and coincidence: - Poor shopping cart management. They aren't picked up from lot in a timely manner. - Too few cart return stalls in the open section of the parking lot. - Elevator/escalator issues (ongoing): cart-escalator is very often OOS. Customer must then use the one elevator available which is also being used by the staff to return carts during infrequent cart pick ups. Elevator is remote from some parts of covered parking - Slow to restock many common items. Inquired and was told it was a supplier issue but then found same item at Vons (parent company) as well Ralph's done the Blvd. - Security agent is over-zealous and will follow "certain types" of clients. This means they have been trained to do this. More grocery staff on the floor would likely make a dent in loss prevention but it is less expensive to hire ONE faux badge. (WITH A TWARON VEST! YIKES!) - Starbucks routinely out of coffee and is slow to remake fresh. Servers have attempted on several occasions to charge for an "Americano" which is an espresso drink when in fact regular coffee has been ordered. Three time in two years? Maybe just "off"days for me. - Very laxidasical service at bakery and deli. Long waits before being noticed when only person waiting. I'm not a good yeller. - Item prices at bakery have not matched items featured at bakery - Faux-police who patrol the parking lots will place yellow "violation" tickets for reasons such as gas tank hatch being open (Security dispatcher: "he probably thought you went to get gas." Where? There are no gas stations anywhere near the market.) read more

Unfortunately, their selection of organic & free-range meat, poultry & seafood is VERY limited. I am a pescatarian, but my husband and son are not. However, I would never buy their seafood. (Shiver down my spine). Unfortunately for me, they are catering to the demographic that I didn't know existed in my neighborhood. Not to end on a sour note, their employees are very helpful. Self checkout clerk is policing and takes your phone if she doesn't believe that you have the digital coupon on your phone. She misinforms you, has you walk back to the aisle to check (yourself), deletes all your transactions and then you find out that you were right. Done this for years, so I can say with confidence that this is one of the nicest stores I've been in. Everything is pristine. Every employee seems well trained and happy to be working. Very light mellow vibe. Just like every grocery store as far as selection/departments. The hot food, bakery, meat and deli sections are awesome. Good quality meats available. Real nice selection of cheese. Great selection of beer, wine and liquor. Fairly secure underground and lot parking. A few metered spots on the street. Nice Starbucks inside as well. read more

Use to be my go to Grocery store but they've slipped in a few areas that has bothered me and made it useless for me to come to now. I would come to pick up some packaged party wings from the meat section or a good priced steak, or fried chicken from the hot food section. This would lead to me doing my other grocery shopping. However they never have wings anymore in the meat section, the meat and steak selection has been awful. The fried chicken doesn't even look like it's fully cooked and fried and looks and tastes awful. Their quality overall just has gone down a steep decline. So now I'm going to skip Pavilions for Ralph's, which also kind of sucks but at least I can possibly charge my EV car at Ralph's fast chargers I guess. Such a shame. read more

Like most Pavilions this location aims to please with a great shopping experience. It's quite spacious with all the departments giving their all visually. After passing the flower displays you have the produce section which is always well stocked and visually appealing. They have a really extensive cheese section, sushi and bakery. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I like the alcohol isles because it has everything you'd need for a part or event. I've never encountered a huge crowd but I do usually go early in the day. This new grocery store looks like it may put a lot of the others nearby to shame. Walking into it was pretty cool. Not something one would say walking into a grocery store. But the whole vibe is pretty cool. Just the lay out and there selections of items they have and offered are amazing. The whole produce section has pretty much everything. Down to all the exotic fruits that most stores don't carry. Then you have the bakery section. Wow, the cakes and pastries are out of this world. The selections are beautiful. Each and everyone of them looks better than the other. The cheese counter has all of your cheese needs. It's a one stop shop for everything. Sushi counter looks amazing. Versus some of the other stores that just looks blah. These were all fresh. Florist section has amazing fresh flowers as well as amazing pre made arrangements. There's parking underground of the store and an escalator will bring you up. Also street parking if needed. Only downfall, it's at a corner section so traffic can be a bitch. Hello new Pavilions... freshly remodeled, rebranded and rebuilt... You are epic and you are loved ... The corner of Ventura Blvd and Kester Ave is a Sunday Funday (or anyday) dream... especially since this location offers virtual tastings and hopefully in the future... in person ones... wink wink... Stopped in for the first time at this super brand new vilions and got some amazing customer service from the moment we entered off Ventura Blvd both by Security and Staff who offered us a freshly wiped down shopping cart. We had some amazing conversations with the very knowledge Wine Stewart Tatiana Paez... And even got some friendly crew service by produce. The layout of this super supermarket is so spacious compared to other locations and so much more abundant in variety than the Safeway (Vons, Alberstons, etc.) stores... Never once did I feel like we didn't have enough room to navigate around other shoppers... Maybe too much room in all the right ways as we kept getting lost in all their amazing stock. I've never seen so many spots for plant based foods in frozen, dairy, produce and meat & seafood. They have an awesome bakery, quality Starbucks, insane wine & spirits department, large pharmacy and even a great guest service counter up front next to concierge... Like where was I today... Some of the prices are slightly higher than Vons stores, however the rewards program works than same at any of these stores... so I managed to save about $15 off my entire purchase. There are also some additional vendor companies throughout the store including one in the wine department off select items. The self check out is way beyond social distancing friendly and the service clerk on duty was so helpful, persoanble and sweet. This was clearly the place to be as I ran into several of my friends and old co-worker friends... Some who I haven't seen since before quarantine... And with plenty of room to have conversations by the massive beer isle, ripe melons, fresh floral area or virtually anywhere in the store... you can get caught up in all this bright sunny store has to offer. Definitely recommend stopping in... There is more than enough parking on the main or lower level. They have great elevators as well if you need them and/or are handicapable. Well, that's a nice upgrade! New Pavilions is a beautiful store right on the corner of Ventura Blvd and Kester Ave. It's very spacious, neat, clean and well organized. Floral department is awesome! Their meat and seafood departments are eye catching - beautiful displays and good prices. Also worth mentioning is their bakery department. Oh this makes me happy lol very good selection of cakes, small and large, cupcakes, desserts, cookies, muffins, bread. Their chocolate chip cookies definitely get a thump up from me. Almost forgot to mention their humongous wine selection, it's worth checking. Many rows of wine, beer and other alcoholic beverages. They have a pharmacy and Starbucks. Also, parking is great.
