I am writing this review as a longtime and frequent customer of Seven Leaves Cafe on Euclid. I visit this location approximately three to four times per week, and in many ways it has become part of my routine. I consistently tip, treat employees with respect, and have always tried to be friendly and understanding toward the staff. Before I discuss my concerns, I want to be fair and acknowledge that the majority of my experiences at this location have been positive. I especially appreciate Manager Natalie Hernandez and many of the employees who work here. Most of the staff members are professional, kind, and consistently provide excellent customer service. In fact, the reason I continue returning is because most employees know exactly how to make my drink and have never had an issue accommodating a simple request. My regular order is a Large Thai Tea with Boba, Oat Milk, and Easy Sweet. This is not a complicated customization. I specifically request "easy sweet" and extra oat milk because I prefer the drink to be very light in color and flavor. I intentionally want less tea concentration, less caffeine, and a lighter orange appearance. This is how I enjoy the drink, and numerous employees at this location have successfully made it exactly this way for a very long time. Unfortunately, there are two employees who repeatedly create difficulties whenever I place this same order. What makes the situation frustrating is that I am not asking for something impossible. Every other employee can make the drink exactly as requested, yet these particular employees frequently insist that my request cannot be done or challenge me when I politely ask for adjustments. For example, on multiple occasions, when I have requested that the drink be made lighter, I have been told that oat milk cannot produce the lighter color I am looking for and that regular milk would be required. However, this explanation does not align with my actual experience because numerous other employees have consistently made the drink exactly as requested using oat milk. When a customer has received the same customized drink successfully dozens of times, it becomes difficult to understand why only certain employees claim it cannot be done. The issue is not really about the color of the drink. The issue is the attitude and resistance that accompanies what should be a simple customer request. When I am spending nearly $8 on a beverage, I do not believe it is unreasonable to politely ask for the drink to be prepared the way I enjoy it, especially when the request has been successfully accommodated many times before. My most recent experience on June 8, 2026, around 6:20 PM, was particularly disappointing. After expressing that the drink was not prepared the way I normally receive it, it was remade, but it appeared that regular milk may have been used instead of oat milk. The drink still was not prepared as requested, and afterward I experienced a severe headache and physical discomfort. Whether this was a misunderstanding or a mistake, it reinforced a concern I have had for some time: certain employees seem more focused on arguing why something cannot be done than on finding a way to satisfy a loyal customer. I want to be clear that I am not someone who enjoys complaining or asking for remakes. In fact, I generally avoid confrontation. However, when a customer is polite, respectful, tips regularly, visits frequently, and makes a reasonable request, there should not be an ongoing struggle to receive consistent service. What I find most disappointing is the inconsistency. If every employee at this location told me my request was impossible, I would accept that. But when the majority of the staff can make the drink perfectly and only a select few repeatedly push back, it creates the impression that the issue is not capability it is willingness. My hope in writing this review is not to attack anyone personally. Rather, I hope ownership and management will recognize that customer service is not just about taking orders. It is about listening, accommodating reasonable requests, and treating loyal customers as valued guests rather than inconveniences. I will continue supporting Seven Leaves because I genuinely enjoy the drinks and appreciate most of the staff. However, I sincerely hope management addresses the recurring inconsistency and customer-service issues that some employees continue to display. A customer should never feel as though they are being challenged or dismissed simply for requesting a drink be prepared the way it has successfully been made for them countless times before. I am sharing this feedback because I care about this location and want to see it continue succeeding. The majority of the team does an excellent job. One of the OG locations to study and hang out for the local students. There's a large seating area. Drinks are always solid, and prices are fair. My go-to is usually the House Special Coffee or the Love Cream ("secret" menu item- jasmine milk tea with caramel drizzle). They also sell food items like fries, popcorn chicken and macarons. Staff is kind, and drinks are prepared very quickly. There are rare occasions when the drinks do take a while to come out because there are way too many orders and, seemingly, only 2-3 staff. I've been to several of their locations, but this review will focus on my recent visit to the Garden Grove shop on Euclid Street. I ordered the house special, a Vietnamese-style iced coffee brewed the 7 Leaves way. (Note: They do have a separate Vietnamese iced coffee that has a more traditional taste.) The Service: The team here is fast, polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. They did mess up on my drink -- I asked for no ice so I could have it at home without it being watered down, but my drink had ice in it. However, they were apologetic and came out with the correct order in a couple of minutes. The Location: It's located in a small strip mall beside a Subway and T-Mobile store. Parking in front of the store is limited and can get filled up quickly, especially during peak times. Fortunately, it shares a large parking lot with a nearby church, so most people head there and walk the roughly 20 yards over. Inside, there are several tables and chairs and people often hang out here or bring homework to study. The Conclusion: If you're looking for Taiwanese boba, you might be disappointed. Terrible customer service. We mobile ordered our drinks for quick turnaround since we were in a hurry. Came in when they said it'd be ready, and nothing. We waited for an additional 15 minutes after our call time watching Maddy help all these other customers that came in behind us. Finally asked her where our drink was and she pulls it from the back counter. It was done this entire time and she didn't have the decency to ask if we were being helped or if we got our drinks yet. I ordered their Assam Black Milk Tea with Oat Milk and Boba, and it's just how I like it each and every time. Their tea quality is pretty good, boba is soft, and sweetness levels are to my liking. While I love 7 Leaves, I do find it odd that they couldn't make me Jasmine Milk Tea Latte with Oat Milk. The jasmine milk tea is pre-made so only the Asaam or Oolong are available to be made with oat milk. The parking and service are also good here but where I'd have to say it could use work is their popcorn chicken. I love how all the drinks are consistent at all locations because I can always fix my 7leaves cravings wherever I am, luckily they are expanding and I hope they keep opening more locations! I came here to study and stayed for 4 hours and it was a great environment to do work at.
