Assam Milk Tea Iced Mung Bean Milk Tea Iced
    Jennifer V.

This was one of the worst milk teas I've had. We tried the mung bean which has pandan and the Assam with 50% sweetness and less ice and honey boba. The boba consistency was fine. The drinks were still too sweet (the mung bean tasted like 150 % sweetness and very artificial tasting). We could not finish these drinks.

I love 7 leaves! Their boba is consistently soft and honey like. I wish they changed up their drinks more often but the drinks they do have are so solid. I appreciate that they fill the drink up to the top as well if I ask for no ice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of tables and seating and the staff is kind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Off the menu combinations ask the barista!!! I got the combo strawberry Hibiscus and sunset passion. They were really good! I'm so glad the barista recommended this off the menu combo.

"Artisan coffee and tea" is the opposite of what is offered here. I expected actual coffee and tea, it's just sugary colored drinks in plastic cups. Very misleading name -expected to be able to get some single origin pour over coffee or loose leaf hot tea.

I am an avid coffee drinker, and while I like to explore new coffee shops, 7 Leaves Cafe is one of my go-to's, just because they do a mean Vietnamese Coffee I was saddened to hear that the location off of Richmond Ave closed, but I'm more than happy to go down the road and into Chinatown to enjoy one of my favorite beverages [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is clean, inviting, and is a great place to hang out with friends, get some work down, or just to sit and relax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient. And the drinks were delicious as always Some tips: Join their rewards program and receive points every time you order. You can also receive a free drink on your birthday Cheers!!

Stopped by to try their Vietnamese Iced Coffee & fell in love! It's so tasty & well balanced. The service was very quick, and there were plenty of other drink options as well that I'm excited to try in the future.

To quote my friend " wow, that's lightning fast service"! Right when the order was submitted, the drinks came out to be served, and it was on a busy weekend afternoon. The team here was certainly efficient! I ordered the mung bean milk tea since that was a high ranked drink, and I quite enjoyed it. The mix of mung bean paste, pandan and jasmine milk tea made for surprisingly great flavors. The honey boba add on was also just the right level of chewiness and sweetness. If you're looking for a refreshing flavor not commonly found elsewhere, this is the one to try. Pro tip #1: Since the mung bean paste and honey boba carry sweetness already, try ordering the drink at 30% sweetness if you're looking for something "not too sweet". [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pro tip #2: if you visit during the afternoon, do not sit near the windows unless you're looking for a good tan.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had just finished dinner with some friends and we were looking for a little finisher - one of them suggested milk tea and since 7 Leaves was close by, we decided to take a short walk over and check it out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]7 Leaves is set up somewhat similarly to other milk/bubble tea spots I've been to - the biggest difference for me was that it's larger than ones I've been to in NY with a lot more seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The majority of their menu is tea, with several options for add-ons as well as some sweets to complement. There are the usual flavors that one would expect from a tea spot, though I was suggested to get the mung bean tea as that flavor is not as common in NY. I had never heard of it, and figured I would give it a shot. The tea was good - mung bean is a legume, which I could tell as it was somewhat nutty. It wasn't overly sweet either which was great - overall smooth with a unique flavor. Service was good, and overall I had a great experience at 7 Leaves. I would definitely return the next time I'm in Houston, or wherever I find another location.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm used to the tiny little storefront cafes of New York, so I'm still marveling at the sizeable space they have here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This chain of Vietnamese cafes is known for their milk teas, and they have a space that would make any Manhattan counterpart weep. I'm not one to ever really notice or comment on the parking situation, but it feels relevant here to say that parking is easy (it's located in a strip mall). But enough about the square footage, let's talk mung bean milk tea. I was told this is the best flavor they had here. It reminded me of adzuki bean, with a subtle earthiness to it that goes really well with desserts. The true joy of this place is being able to adjust both sweetness and ice. I'm glad I got to try this place that gives mung bean a moment in the spotlight.

I love 7 Leaves! What always stands out to me is the ambiance. It's the perfect environment for studying or getting some work done. The atmosphere is calm and conducive to focus, making it an ideal spot for anyone looking to be productive. In addition, the service is quick, allowing me to get my drink and settle in without any delay. Assam Milk Tea - The tea had the perfect amount of sweetness (I got the less sweet) and was incredibly creamy, reminiscent of Thai tea but with its own unique charm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Highly recommend this place for both the quality of their drinks and the inviting space they provide![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Japanese matcha soy

I decided to try Japanese matcha soy, I ordered with light ice, instead I got a lot of ice, so, I didn't get enough matcha... I'm disappointed and it costs $ 6.90 I'm not going back. It was like getting a shot of matcha by it self

    Strawberry Hibiscus Tea
    Rachel E.

They have drinks that are off the menu which are a blend between different drinks. Ask the cashier about them! Think there is a tiger one which is a blend of Thai tea and coffee! I liked my strawberry hibiscus tea, but their easy ice still had a lot of ice and I felt like my drink got diluted quickly. I like to drink slowly and not take all the sugar at once. Plus the Texas summer heat doesn't help! My friend got a mixed drink between the strawberry hibiscus and sunset passion (which is all juice; no tea). It was also very good and probably what I would order next time!

Traffic to get in and out is horrible! Parking is a struggle on busy days. Fortunately, once you park here, you can pretty much grab some drinks, baked goods, play claw machines, go grocery shopping, etc. Trung Nguyen serves espressos, matcha, phin coffee, phin drips, teas, and white coffee (lighter version). Toppings are $1-$1.50 and includes grass jelly, coffee jelly, cream, single shot, or extra matcha. I've tried their egg coffee, coconut coffee, ube coffee, pandan coffee, and black sesame. Although I love all of them, my current fav is the black sesame! YUM!! I've yet to try their matcha and teas, but Trung Nguyen is always on our list whenever we're in town- so I will for sure try their other drinks at one point or another. Viet coffee is everywhere in Houston (and I love that). With Trung Nguyen, your drinks are consistent, and you can always count on getting the strongest coffee (not watered down) whenever you get their coffee.

The inside is mostly white and going for that IG "it spot" vibe. Most people were ordering their drinks that come with a little slice of tiramisu, but we were there to try just the latter! The tiramisu varieties aren't all truly tiramisu (which traditionally has espresso and alcohol), but they're called tiramisu because there are cookies or ladyfingers layered with their mascarpone cream. I tried the Biscoff Tiramisu-- while they could work on their presentation (the filling looked messy and slapped on), the taste was quite nice! Sweet, creamy, and the mascarpone filling was light and not too heavy despite being sweet and indulgent. I'm excited to try the other tiramisu varieties :D I like how the tiramisu comes in its own container instead of scooped into a takeout box because it's a lot less messy + prettier when eating it. Service was really friendly and there is self-serve water available too. Lots of tables for two but they were all taken during my visit. There's a little table outside in the shade if you're willing to sit in the heat. Overall, 4.5 stars for the tiramisu-- will be back to try some more! Check them out next time your sweet tooth calls :)

Would LOVE to take my cousins here one day…read more Environment/Atmosphere - Super crowded when we got here, but the lines moved fast, and there was a kiosk to self-order if you didn't want to wait in line for the cashier. One of my favorite things was how fragrant the space smelled while I waited for my boba. You could tell there was an exceptional tea aroma lingering despite all the cream and sweetness. The place was exceptionally clean for being so busy, and the workers consistently cleaned as they made the drinks, so you knew you could trust the sanitation here. Drink Design - I have to make a separate comment on how CUTE these drinks were. I loved the intentional sticker placement over the lips and the little carrying handle. You could tell they went the extra mile to make these drinks not just flavorful, but an experience in and of themselves. Even their receipt paper felt luxurious. That sounds ridiculous to point out, but the thought behind every aspect of this place is impeccable. High Mountain Pouchong Tea w. Lemon Juice & Mousse (Creamy Lemon Tart) - After all the sugar I had today, this lemony drink hit the spot with its perfect tartness. The cream had bits of lemon zest in it, adding to the aroma. I tried to adjust the sweetness when I ordered and was told it had a built-in sweetness, but if I found it too sweet, they would happily switch it out for another drink. I felt like I was dealing with Amazon's generous return policy--and luckily, the drink was perfect, so no return was needed! Creamy Mango Tart - Literally like the Lemon Tart, but mango. I loved this just as much and really enjoyed the refreshing flavors of BOTH tarts. Instantly a fan favorite. Dong Ding Oolong Tea w. Fresh Milk - Very mild and creamy, almost like a mellow latte. Not my favorite because it was a bit too creamy after everything else I had today. Still, I loved the tea profile and can absolutely see why others would love it. Overall, I love, love, LOVE this place. 1000/10. From the experience to the quality and intentionality behind every little detail, I couldn't be happier with my visit. I never thought I'd ever say that a drink was so Instagram-worthy, but these drinks were beautiful--like models of the boba world. Would go back in a heartbeat.
