I always ask for light ice because they usually go heavy on the ice which ends up with little of the drink. Yay for not having to go out to Tustin for this. My favorite is the Sunset Passion and 2nd fav is the House Coffee. I have to mark off 1 star for always running out of large cups. Nice to see this café popping up in more places close to home. Since it is brand new the line is still quite long, but I can see myself grabbing a drink here every now and then especially when we go for KBBQ at Shik Do Rak right across. 7 leaves is not your typical boba drink place with endless options, they focus on a select number of drinks. They also sell macrons (which from their website says is made in house) and they sell Cream Pan strawberry croissants. I think a lot of people are confused thinking that 7 leaves actually makes these croissants themselves but a lot of Cream Pan baked goods are bought by other businesses in the area especially cafes. I've seen the strawberry croissants at other coffee shops and its a bit miss leading when they don't actually advertise where the baked goods come from. Moving on to the drinks...I think the house coffee with sea salt cream is my new favorite. It is essentially a Vietnamese coffee with sea salt cream (the cream could be a bit saltier in my opinion). I've worked boba shops before and have had friends who worked as well, and the number one thing we hate is when customers come in at the last minute(mostly cause we have to stay longer to clean up). Unfortunately, I was one of those last minute walkers but all the workers here were so patient and understanding. They really went above and beyond when they didn't need to. Awful location - the workers are way too slow here because they're always having conversations with their friends that come in, and the line always extends outside (the line in Tustin does too, but it takes less than 5 minutes). I came back recently to try their Assam Milk Tea & it was just terrible. It was superrrr diluted "tea" if you can even call it tea. Maybe it was just water with some hint of assam. ok 7leaves has always been a go-to for me and i usually never leave 1 stars. but i ordered a jasmine milk tea with custard pudding today and the drink had some weird black grains in it?? i think it probably was from the pudding itself?? i didn't think much when i took my first few sip (which had the most black particles) but i ended up throwing it away. now i'm just sitting here hoping i didn't drink something bad or non-edible if any team member would care to answer what the hell that thing is then i'd really appreciate it. read more

I was so excited to try this tea place, but OMG the Thai Tea is SUPER SWEET holy cow I couldn't evan drink half of it and this is huge for me because normally I like sweet things like this, but this was over the top. love love loveeeee their house coffee especially!! You can go up to 6 shots of espresso which I LOVE and you can adjust the sweetness of the drink as well. I love how strong you can make the coffee and it tastes like dessert at the same time. The staff is always friendly and were very accommodating and nice when I asked if I could sample the drinks first. I've also tried their Thai tea which is also very good as well and their Jasmine sea salt green tea. One of my favorite places to get drinks in Irvine hands down. Sometimes I wish they made hot drinks especially during the winter but would recommend to anyone! I was looking forward to this place only to be let down. They had poor customer service and a limited selections of tea. We asked for less sweet and less ice and it felt like we got more ice. Once we got past the poor customer service and extra ice we tried the tea. The tea had good flavor but was way too sweet. Once we tried the boba we were definitely turned off. The boba was really mushy. If your in the area and want boba break away from the clique and go to tapioca, lollicup or honey berry all in the same area. Best boba tea in Irvine! So glad they have an Irvine location now. Good quality tea and their boba has a really great chew to it. So far I've tried their matcha tea and sea cream jasmine tea and both were fantasic! The sea cream is very interesting in that it just kind of mixes into the tea to make a more milky looking drink with great layers of flavor. I don't check in here as often as I really do come here and that's a lot. This place is one of my go-to boba places. The service is fast and the workers are nice and welcoming. My usually order is the sea cream jasmine tea, strawberry hibiscus, or house coffee. The house coffee here is the best I've ever had and can actually keep me up all night. Definitely a place I like to take my friends, plus it's a great price and the stamp card is very rewarding judging from the number of times I come here. The Vietnamese coffee is awesome! Parking sucks. The strawberry croissant is bomb. The place is TINY. There is hardly enough room to order your drink and wait for it if other people are waiting as well. The thing that bothers me the most about 7 leaves is they use the small crushed ice and pack your cup with it so you don't really get much coffee in your cup. After the first visit, I knew going forward to ask for easy ice. What I was not aware of is when you ask for less ice they don't fill your cup with coffee. Weird. I asked for easy ice and she said ok that's fine but we will only fill your cup to here and she pointed to about a little over half full. She said if you want the cup filled it's another $1.50. Wait, so your large cup I believe is 16oz or so, but if I actually want 16oz of coffee I have to pay additional money? Not cool at all. I ordered a house coffee for a friend and ordered it with no ice because I didn't want it watered down by the time she received it and that cup was also not full. Again, they said $1.50 extra to fill it. This happened at both this location and the Tustin location so it must be a standard 7 leaves policy. I guess I will stick with the typical coffee chains where I know my cup will be full regardless of the amount of ice I want or don't want in my cup. *Edited to say when I went to the Irvine location yesterday they were using big cubes of ice instead of the small crushed ice* read more

Tried this place a few times and like their drinks, but their over use of ice is really irritating. When I don't say anything, ice fills up about three quarters of the cup, when asked for easy ice they still fill up half the cup. I complained and the staff gave some BS explanation that it's necessary because their coffee is really concentrated. Whatever, nobody waits til their ice melts before drinking. I'll pay more to get the amount of coffee I want but I don't like tricks. read more

They have variety of add ons, tasty flavored premium teas, fresh fruit bits for extra healthy drink, and amazing flavors! I got guava flavors, green tea, mango fruit bites, lychee jelly, boba combo jelly, pandan jelly and it taste amazingly wonderful! Fruit firework in my mouth. Now if your craving for dessert I loved the smashed avocado, it has condensed milk, avocado, boba, coffee and combo jelly! Coconut combo is also one of my favorites it's has coconut juice, coconut meat, jello, lotus seed, and longan! The staff are so friendly and very professional!
