Ordered on the App for pickup with new flavors ( honeydew and strawberry). Both drinks ( meh )weren't as good as previous seasonal flavors. Service was chaotic which made the experience more of a disappointment. Ordered my cheese on the side and didn't even get that. They definitely need to rethink about possibly just packaging the drinks together when the order is place. It wouldn't be such a miscue for customers receiving their drinks !
Excellent quality . I prefer this location because the parking lot is more spacious. You can download their app to order online. Hint: you can customize your own sticker that will be printed on the cup, which i thought is so cool My top choices: -Kale Boost Tea with Chia seed : my topc choice for hot summer days. Perfect mixture of pressed grapes , kales, sugar cane and tea in this drinks, it tatse so amazing and healthy lol. No wonder its one of the top drinks here. -King Jasmine Milk Tea: very strong tea flavor, I think its seasonal but Jasmine Milk tea is another good option -Triple Supreme Matcha ( I prefer light sweet) - Coconut Mango Boom: - Lojin Milk tea : a little smoother and lighter flavor than jasmine milk tea.
Next time I'm craving heytea, I will go to this location! SO much cleaner and does not have a weird scent like the other location did when I visited. There was plenty of parking up front and our order came out pretty quickly. We did go on a Friday a little before 4pm. The only difficult part was that they didn't have a printed menu, their screen was down, and the QR code took you to download their app. So check the Yelp menu before if you don't have the app! We ordered the mango coconut book and the super brown sugar milk tea. So yummy! Both pretty sweet but really enjoyed it. The boba was so pillowy soft
I've heard a lot of hype about Hey Tea and was stoked that there was one nearby my work event. We had walked here from our conference center at lunch to try Hey Tea. The inside was very minimalistic and cute. I thought the lights and decor suited the vibes of the art on their drinks. When looking at the menu, it was very simplistic unless you ordered a seasonal item. The cashier was interesting and very young; she didn't say much. I ordered their brown sugar milk tea with boba and I have to say I was quite disappointed. The drink itself tasted like milk and brown sugar. No tea in it. I felt like I was drinking very watery milk. Their boba was okay and nothing that was amazing. Sadly, it wasn't a good first experience at Hey Tea. I don't think I'll be coming back again.
I get the kale boost here and it's similar to a drink Auntea Jenny serves which is the kale apple fiber chia seed. They taste similar but sometimes when I poke my straw in the lid of the Auntea Jenny tea, a piece of the styrofoam that it has under the sticker of the lid falls into my drink! I like that Hey Tea doesn't have the same lid because I never have that same problem.
Five stars for service here! Three stars for everything else. The gal working the counter was absolutely lovely. I came to order for three other people who didn't check the menu, so I was texting and trying to get things figured out. The young lady working was so patient and truly was great. The rest of the place was odd. The decor was.....severe. I felt like it was the scene where Catherine O'Hara redecorates in the original beetlejuice movie and it's all scary modern furniture. The bench was uncomfortable the decor is uninviting. The music is sort of odd lounge ambient music. The menu is very limited, but nothing very classic to boba places. It was ok. Not spectacular. The boba cost extra and they don't give you much. The service was great! Kind staff and they were fast. I probably won't come here over the abundance of boba in Irvine. It's a vibe. Someone else's vibe.
Parking 5/5 -A lot of spots available in the plaza parking lot Service 5/5 -Friendly staff, it was pretty busy and it took about 15 minutes for us to get our drink. Food 5/5 -Mango coconut boom, we ordered it light ice with 50% sweetness. Mango was ripe and soft, sago added nice texture to the drink, just like the name tasted like a liquid mango sticky rice except replace the sticky rice with smooth and soft sago balls. Overall a refreshing drink good for any occasion Ambiance 5/5 -Minimalistic interior with decent amount of comfortable seating throughout the shop, air conditioned, very comfortable space.
A little small location in the Harvard Plaza offering a variety of tea selections. Freshly brewed. Quick service. Consistent with flavoring. Teas are much better than milk teas. Opt for less sugar unless you prefer sweets.
Unlike the other reviews, we didn't have much of a wait time (prob around 15min on a Saturday night) which was pretty lucky. Drinks were really good and were gently sized for the price. Additionally there was a lot of parking but minimal seating inside and outside. Considering how close this is to UCI, it does get packed fast so I can see why the wait times can range from 15min to an hour. Good drinks though but up to you to take the risk to go or not!
HeyTea my favorite I had been to four different HeyTea stores in California, and tried most of their drinks including the seasonal one. FYI I like to order their drink with minimal sugar. The guava green grape (8.6/10) - It was good, but I had better drink at HeyTea. The guava flavor isn't strong enough so it was overridden by the green grape taste. Longjing Cheese Milk Tea (8.1/10) - Sorry chat, I am not a fan of milk tea and HeyTea isn't the best at making milk tea. They do a better job with fruit tea. The Longjing Cheese Milk Tea had an interesting taste. The cheese cream top adds a bit saltiness to the drink, but it doesn't quite go well with the tea base. It might taste better with more sugar.
Messy. A friend studying up for a big exam in the area wanted to check this spot out - so we stopped by last Saturday. Apparently, Hey Tea has only been open for a few months - per the employee I asked. On a side note, I think this spot might be cursed for boba tea/cafes - since I remember this exact spot hosting a number of boba/milk tea shops over the past decade - since the time I was a UCI student to now. Places never last more than a year or so before shuttling, and in comes the next cafe. It was fairly crowded when we stopped by - mostly people waiting for their drink, the ordering line had only a person in front of us. The menu is available right at the register - which probably isn't the best spot to put a menu, especially since that means people won't be able to decide what they want until they get to the register - causing a potential roadjam. They should consider putting the menu on a display stand upfront, or a menu posted to the storefront or wall or something. I opted for the Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea, while my friend got the Coconut Mango Boom. We paid and then grabbed a seat at the community table - which only had stools on one side. We waited. And waited. And waited. It took nearly 25 minutes to get our drink. In the meanwhile, I got up to use their restroom... which doesn't have a lock - or if it does, it doesn't work. Or no one knows how to use it, cuz I walked right in on someone sitting on the toilet for #2. Sowwie!!! Drinks came out - I snapped a few shots around the scenic interior - but the drinks themselves were nothing memorable. Certainly did not justify the higher than average cost of the drinks. My boba pearls were soggy, not chewy or fresh tasting. You'd think considering their healthy looking customer flow that they'd have fresh boba pearls, but that didn't seem to be the case with my drink. Nothing was particularly memorable about my drink. I really don't see myself going out of the way to stop by here again, especially considering there's a number of other higher quality/better priced spots in the Irvine area.
I got the Coconut Mango Boom from here and it was pretty good. The drink was creamy and not too sweet. I liked the sago and fresh Asian mango chunks. However, I did taste a funky mango bit in my drink, but it didn't ruin it for me. I liked how it felt like I was consuming a healthier dessert. However, I feel like more effort could've been put into my drink as it felt like it was put together in a rush. Also, my friend ordered the same thing right after me, but hers took a while to be made for some reason. There's ample parking in front and some seating inside. Overall, a decent experience here and the Hey Tea chain is still great!

I think that the drinks themselves were pretty good and unique (but slightly overpriced). We tried their new limited-edition king jasmine honeydew and blue coconut matcha. Overall, the drinks were pretty good and the look of the space and the drinks were both very visually appealing. However, I do recommend ordering online in advance. We ordered in person and it took a while for us to get our drinks, even though there was no one else at the location, so they seem to prioritize their mobile orders over in person. read more

heytea FINALLY got an oat milk option. i ordered ahead and was expected to wait 5 minutes for my order, but waited around 20-30 minutes. i saw people who ordered in person who received their order faster than i did. i did monitor the order status board and ended up walking up to the counter to get my order after awhile. the drinks were yummy and refreshing tho the interior has a concrete/industrial theme, which i saw some people had qualms w but i didn't mind. i did mind that there was a slight chemical smell throughout the store, including the bathroom. i don't remember if it was the chemical smell of a cleaning compound but i remember finding it unpleasant. it is nice having a heytea in the area w lots of seating but the smell might keep me from staying longer than i needed to read more

This location has some tables for seating, unlike the one on Jeffrey in Irvine. Parking can be tight, but it's easier to find since the plaza is less busy. You can also park around the corner by Ralph's and walk over. I usually order pickup through the Heytea app, and it's almost always ready on time. Pickup orders sometimes close during peak hours. Their points system is nice since I get Heytea weekly, heh. The Mango Grapefruit Boom is my go-to and is extremely refreshing and still sweet even with minimal sugar. It has real mango chunks, and the grapefruit flavor definitely comes through. Their milk teas and matcha drinks are also high quality and very fragrant. Overall, Heytea uses quality ingredients, and every drink I've tried on the menu has been good. read more
I really want to gatekeep this location because it doesn't get crowded like the one on Jeffrey. I didn't know about this location until today and it is so much closer to where I live and this location has better parking than Jeffrey. Their online ordering was down before we got there but it's ok, there were only 4 people in front of us, no big deal. Ordered the Yingde tea with cheese foam and it was delicious. I ordered King Jasmine Milk Tea! Something about their tea selection is superb. I requested little sugar and light cheese cloud, light ice. Every drop is packed with flavor. Intensely delicious! Can't wait to try the baristas other suggestions next time. I loved having this while doing some weekend work :) read more
I'm rating this place 2 stars. The drink itself is good; however, my issue is the amount they put in the cup. I took a picture outside after noticing how empty my cup was when I picked up my order. For an $8 drink, 75% of my cup was air and bubbles. 25% was the tea itself. This is not acceptable. I went back to show the worker and she said it's because I ordered it with less ice. Less ice does not mean my drink should be 25%of the cup. The wait is also long and I don't think this store is up to speed yet even though they've been opened for months-- maybe even a year now. read more
Hey Tea did not disappoint. I ordered the Coconut Mango and the Grape Boom with less sweetness, and both were absolutely delicious. I was really craving something refreshing, and these drinks hit the spot perfectly. The flavors were well balanced, not overly sweet, and tasted fresh and light, which made them even more enjoyable. This is definitely a great place to stop when you want a refreshing drink, and I will for sure be coming back to try more. read more
Mango Coconut Boom is super yummy! It's the only thing I've gotten here so far because it's that delicious! Every sip is different and fun. The ingredients just go so well together. Be prepared to wait in line. We went on a very cold Monday evening, and the line was out the door, but if you want to treat yourself to a yummy treat, it's worth it. We waited for a while. I didn't clock it but it wasn't quick, but when we finally did get them - delicious! read more
Came to HeyTea with my friends and there was about a 30-minute wait, but honestly the line was worth it. This will forever and always be my favorite boba spot. I got the Blue Blossom Mango, which is hands down their best drink in my opinion. I put all my friends on and we either got the regular mango drink or the Blue Blossom Mango: both were super good. There's a subtle hint of coconut that makes it creamy without being overpowering, and the sago is such an amazing touch. The texture and flavor combo is just elite. The ambience is a small little shop that barely fits around 20 people, and the service can be slow, but that's just because they're busy. If you come, expect to wait about 30 minutes for your drink. But if you're patient, it's 100% worth it. read more
Stopped by for some drinks just now, and was pretty happy with the experience. The shop is located next to Jamba and there's plenty of parking nearby. The shop is super modern with a bunch of seating inside and out. Service was nice, there was a ton of staff all working, and the shop was never not busy, so props to the staff for keeping things constantly moving. I got a Matcha Cloud Coconut Blue and a Coconut Mango Blue. I honestly feel like everything from the presentation to the names of the drinks is pretty gimmicky, but the drinks were still tasty. I wish the Coconut Mango Blue tasted more like Coconut, and I don't think I'm sold on the "cloud" concept. Regardless, I did enjoy my drinks. If you want to go somewhere for a trendy looking drink that you can take pics of for social, then look no further. Would I go out of my way to come back? Probably not. Would I stop by if I was in the area and craving boba? Perhaps. read more
I tried out the new Heytea location in Irvine on a weekday night, and it was still fairly busy. I ordered the Mango Coconut Blue, but it took about 30 minutes to receive, which made the location feel a bit understaffed. The drink tasted slightly more artificial than what I've experienced at their other Irvine location. It was still enjoyable overall, but it seems like the new location may still be working through quality control, pacing, and staffing as they get settled. The inside of this location has indoor and outdoor seating which is also nice! read more

Hey Tea is a decent boba place. I would definitely get their teas instead of their fruity drinks. This spot is a to go place so you place your order then wait for your drink to go. They only had one kiosk and it wasn't working for a bit. They also don't text or print your receipt. They make you take a picture of your number which we forgot to do so it was a little confusing getting our drink. Good tea but wish there were chairs or benches outside. read more

A nice clean and modern Tea Shop, that features a timeless stone and wood interior has some great tea offerings with some great takes on their drinks. We had no wait around 1:30pm on a Friday. We walked, in, ordered, waited about 10 minutes (we did have to slushy drinks) and we were out. I got the Grapefruit Boom, and loved every bit of it. The Original sweetness was just enough, when I usually for for 75%. Would love to come back in and try their actual tea drinks. Maybe even their matcha. Pricing is on par with all the new Boba spots....so if you're looking for a cheap thai tea, this probably isn't for you. You want to try something a little different with a little more quality in your product, shout Hey Tea! read more

I love Heytea yummy drinks are so fun and the only bad thing I would have to say is the price. It's on the more expensive side, but it's honestly so addicting and it makes it worth it. This location is specifically my go to because there's usually no line and there's good parking and the staff are pretty nice and the interior is really nice too. It looks really minimalistic and cool. read more

This replaced HN Tea that was previously here. The boba spot has a very modern vibe to it. Limited indoor seating, with additional outdoor seating. It's located right by Jamba Juice, with plenty of parking. I ordered the Matcha Cloud Coconut Blue. The size was generous for the cost, and sugar level can be adjusted. Service was quick and easy. No complaints here. Would definitely try other drinks to compare. read more
I've been to this specific Hey Tea location many times as it is closer to UCI. I really love their Coconut Mango Boom as it's more of a fresh fruit smoothie but is also sweet enough! The mango is sometimes tart but pairs well with the cream and the sago is the perfect amount of chewiness. I also tried the Coconut Mango Blue and I love the coconut milk jelly that comes with it. When you order at the register, there's a little bit of a wait for your drink as there are obviously other orders ahead of you and it is a pretty popular place. I definitely recommend ordering ahead if you can! There is seating inside but it also gets pretty busy at times especially because it is near a college campus. read more

Our neighbor/friend recommended Hey Tea to us a few months ago. Ever since, we have been hooked. Their Coconut Mango Boom is perfection. It seems like we get it once a week. We frequent this location a lot. I'm always in the mood for Hey Tea. The only negative is that sometimes the app doesn't work for mobile orders, and it's usually when there is a BOGO deal. read more
i'm a heytea lover down, but this specific location is not it. the service is horrendous, so rude and dismissive and just made the experience terrible. they also ran out of the world cup magnets so fast and didn't tell anyone until after they order their drinks. better off in brea or jamboree read more
Pros: yummy tea-based drinks, unique seasonal menu, nice vibes with modern interior Cons: very expensive, long waits (both in line and after ordering) and therefore crowded, mistakes with drink orders, small parking lot Cloud Longjing Tea Latte: 5/5. Was part of the seasonal menu when I went in mid-November, and I really liked the tea flavor with the regular sweetness level! I didn't want mochi in my drink, as the other seasonal longjing one did have it, but the lady taking my order confirmed that my drink doesn't come with mochi. However, I only found out after I had nearly finished the drink that there was a glob of white mochi at the bottom of the cup...I couldn't tell right away since I didn't use a straw, and the cup color is dark, so I was kinda bummed that it was added, or that staff aren't on the page on menu knowledge. Magnolia Latte: 4/5. Was part of the seasonal menu in September, and I enjoyed trying something new in general. It did have a strong, floral flavor that seemed almost roasty, which I didn't mind, but I still prefer other floral green teas over this one. Jasmine Latte: 2/5. They made it with less sugar (as evidenced on the label), but I didn't ask for less sweet when ordering, so I'm not sure what happened. The drink was so watered down and bland. I barely tasted any tea - maybe it wasn't steeped enough, or they used too much milk, or both. read more

I ordered on the app and waited and after 15 mins the order showed up as cancelled. When I asked the employee, they had no idea why it was cancelled. So I said no problem and ordered in store. I waited for 35+ mins for the order to be made and spent a total of a hour in the store on Monday at 2pm. I do understand that the store gets busy but when I showed them my receipt they had no idea where the cup was and had to create a new cup to make my drink. Unreal while standing there for close to a hour, I saw two employees standing behind the counter not making drinks. read more
After hearing all the hype about Hey Tea, I had to try it myself. Came during the noon hour on a weekday, and there was only a small crowd, compared to the location on Jeffrey and Walnut on the other side of Irvine. This one is located in a corner of Harvard and Main Street near poached. I got the Matcha latte, since that's the drink of the month/year, and it did not disappoint. It was creamy, smooth, and silky. The strong Matcha flavor was welcoming yet not too powerful. Very refreshing indeed. Price is a little bit on the higher end, but that's just the way it is when you compare all the different drink places nearby. If you're into Hey Tea, I recommend this location since it is less crowded. Will return! read more
