i love the friendly staff when i visit on a weekday. friday is a lil hectic but it's spacious in the cafe. drink ratings as follows: 1. king jasmine guava with stronger tea level . i feel like a princess when i drink it haha more creamy than tropical guava vibe but i like it especially when i get the lime zest in my sips. 2. coconut mango boom was yummy but i wish the tanginess of the mango pulp was more present and the coconut jelly was good but its more like pudding/silken tofu texture so beware of that :p. i liked it as a coconut lover but it may be overload for those that aren't enthusiasts. imo overload on topping - drink ratio wise but still good. 3. jasmine latte i got stronger tea and min sugar and wow the jasmine was v present but imma jus do default (less sugar) next time cause it was p bitter otherwise delectable 4. golden oolong yuzu - mom said she din like that it was giving medicine vibes but i enjoyed it. i feel like only tea lovers will like this one. its similar to 7leaves herbal tea. v nice that they filled the cup to the brim despite having requested no ice for it
I'm rating this place 2 stars. The drink itself is good; however, my issue is the amount they put in the cup. I took a picture outside after noticing how empty my cup was when I picked up my order. For an $8 drink, 75% of my cup was air and bubbles. 25% was the tea itself. This is not acceptable. I went back to show the worker and she said it's because I ordered it with less ice. Less ice does not mean my drink should be 25%of the cup. The wait is also long and I don't think this store is up to speed yet even though they've been opened for months-- maybe even a year now.
I got the Coconut Mango Boom from here and it was pretty good. The drink was creamy and not too sweet. I liked the sago and fresh Asian mango chunks. However, I did taste a funky mango bit in my drink, but it didn't ruin it for me. I liked how it felt like I was consuming a healthier dessert. However, I feel like more effort could've been put into my drink as it felt like it was put together in a rush. Also, my friend ordered the same thing right after me, but hers took a while to be made for some reason. There's ample parking in front and some seating inside. Overall, a decent experience here and the Hey Tea chain is still great!
Messy. A friend studying up for a big exam in the area wanted to check this spot out - so we stopped by last Saturday. Apparently, Hey Tea has only been open for a few months - per the employee I asked. On a side note, I think this spot might be cursed for boba tea/cafes - since I remember this exact spot hosting a number of boba/milk tea shops over the past decade - since the time I was a UCI student to now. Places never last more than a year or so before shuttling, and in comes the next cafe. It was fairly crowded when we stopped by - mostly people waiting for their drink, the ordering line had only a person in front of us. The menu is available right at the register - which probably isn't the best spot to put a menu, especially since that means people won't be able to decide what they want until they get to the register - causing a potential roadjam. They should consider putting the menu on a display stand upfront, or a menu posted to the storefront or wall or something. I opted for the Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea, while my friend got the Coconut Mango Boom. We paid and then grabbed a seat at the community table - which only had stools on one side. We waited. And waited. And waited. It took nearly 25 minutes to get our drink. In the meanwhile, I got up to use their restroom... which doesn't have a lock - or if it does, it doesn't work. Or no one knows how to use it, cuz I walked right in on someone sitting on the toilet for #2. Sowwie!!! Drinks came out - I snapped a few shots around the scenic interior - but the drinks themselves were nothing memorable. Certainly did not justify the higher than average cost of the drinks. My boba pearls were soggy, not chewy or fresh tasting. You'd think considering their healthy looking customer flow that they'd have fresh boba pearls, but that didn't seem to be the case with my drink. Nothing was particularly memorable about my drink. I really don't see myself going out of the way to stop by here again, especially considering there's a number of other higher quality/better priced spots in the Irvine area.
This location has some tables for seating, unlike the one on Jeffrey in Irvine. Parking can be tight, but it's easier to find since the plaza is less busy. You can also park around the corner by Ralph's and walk over. I usually order pickup through the Heytea app, and it's almost always ready on time. Pickup orders sometimes close during peak hours. Their points system is nice since I get Heytea weekly, heh. The Mango Grapefruit Boom is my go-to and is extremely refreshing and still sweet even with minimal sugar. It has real mango chunks, and the grapefruit flavor definitely comes through. Their milk teas and matcha drinks are also high quality and very fragrant. Overall, Heytea uses quality ingredients, and every drink I've tried on the menu has been good.
I really want to gatekeep this location because it doesn't get crowded like the one on Jeffrey. I didn't know about this location until today and it is so much closer to where I live and this location has better parking than Jeffrey. Their online ordering was down before we got there but it's ok, there were only 4 people in front of us, no big deal. Ordered the Yingde tea with cheese foam and it was delicious. I will definitely be back!
HORRENDOUS WAIT TIME. They said my order was "being made" and that it would only be a 7 minute wait. It took me 10 minutes just to get there, so I expected it to be ready, but it wasn't. The drink itself is good, but the customer service is really disappointing. After I asked about my order, they told me they never got the ticket / didn't receive the order... even though I ordered directly through their app. Then I waited another 30+ minutes inside after they said they would "expedite" it. It didn't feel like anything was actually expedited, since they kept making other orders while ours was still missing. Just frustrating overall.
Our neighbor/friend recommended Hey Tea to us a few months ago. Ever since, we have been hooked. Their Coconut Mango Boom is perfection. It seems like we get it once a week. We frequent this location a lot. I'm always in the mood for Hey Tea. The only negative is that sometimes the app doesn't work for mobile orders, and it's usually when there is a BOGO deal.
I ordered King Jasmine Milk Tea! Something about their tea selection is superb. I requested little sugar and light cheese cloud, light ice. Every drop is packed with flavor. Intensely delicious! Can't wait to try the baristas other suggestions next time. I loved having this while doing some weekend work :)
Came to HeyTea with my friends and there was about a 30-minute wait, but honestly the line was worth it. This will forever and always be my favorite boba spot. I got the Blue Blossom Mango, which is hands down their best drink in my opinion. I put all my friends on and we either got the regular mango drink or the Blue Blossom Mango: both were super good. There's a subtle hint of coconut that makes it creamy without being overpowering, and the sago is such an amazing touch. The texture and flavor combo is just elite. The ambience is a small little shop that barely fits around 20 people, and the service can be slow, but that's just because they're busy. If you come, expect to wait about 30 minutes for your drink. But if you're patient, it's 100% worth it.
Stopped by for some drinks just now, and was pretty happy with the experience. The shop is located next to Jamba and there's plenty of parking nearby. The shop is super modern with a bunch of seating inside and out. Service was nice, there was a ton of staff all working, and the shop was never not busy, so props to the staff for keeping things constantly moving. I got a Matcha Cloud Coconut Blue and a Coconut Mango Blue. I honestly feel like everything from the presentation to the names of the drinks is pretty gimmicky, but the drinks were still tasty. I wish the Coconut Mango Blue tasted more like Coconut, and I don't think I'm sold on the "cloud" concept. Regardless, I did enjoy my drinks. If you want to go somewhere for a trendy looking drink that you can take pics of for social, then look no further. Would I go out of my way to come back? Probably not. Would I stop by if I was in the area and craving boba? Perhaps.
Hey Tea did not disappoint. I ordered the Coconut Mango and the Grape Boom with less sweetness, and both were absolutely delicious. I was really craving something refreshing, and these drinks hit the spot perfectly. The flavors were well balanced, not overly sweet, and tasted fresh and light, which made them even more enjoyable. This is definitely a great place to stop when you want a refreshing drink, and I will for sure be coming back to try more.

Unlike the other reviews, we didn't have much of a wait time (prob around 15min on a Saturday night) which was pretty lucky. Drinks were really good and were gently sized for the price. Additionally there was a lot of parking but minimal seating inside and outside. Considering how close this is to UCI, it does get packed fast so I can see why the wait times can range from 15min to an hour. Good drinks though but up to you to take the risk to go or not! read more

Mango Coconut Boom is super yummy! It's the only thing I've gotten here so far because it's that delicious! Every sip is different and fun. The ingredients just go so well together. Be prepared to wait in line. We went on a very cold Monday evening, and the line was out the door, but if you want to treat yourself to a yummy treat, it's worth it. We waited for a while. I didn't clock it but it wasn't quick, but when we finally did get them - delicious! read more
I tried out the new Heytea location in Irvine on a weekday night, and it was still fairly busy. I ordered the Mango Coconut Blue, but it took about 30 minutes to receive, which made the location feel a bit understaffed. The drink tasted slightly more artificial than what I've experienced at their other Irvine location. It was still enjoyable overall, but it seems like the new location may still be working through quality control, pacing, and staffing as they get settled. The inside of this location has indoor and outdoor seating which is also nice! read more

Favorites are the pistachio king cloud, cloud matcha latte, and cloud crisp grape. This location is much more lowkey than the one on Jeffrey with much easier parking. I always order ahead of time on the app so that the drink is ready when I go to pickup. Pro tip, they also offer free delivery coupons on Wednesday if you wanted a sweet treat without the hassle of going to pick the drink up in person! read more

Hey Tea is a decent boba place. I would definitely get their teas instead of their fruity drinks. This spot is a to go place so you place your order then wait for your drink to go. They only had one kiosk and it wasn't working for a bit. They also don't text or print your receipt. They make you take a picture of your number which we forgot to do so it was a little confusing getting our drink. Good tea but wish there were chairs or benches outside. read more
I've been to this specific Hey Tea location many times as it is closer to UCI. I really love their Coconut Mango Boom as it's more of a fresh fruit smoothie but is also sweet enough! The mango is sometimes tart but pairs well with the cream and the sago is the perfect amount of chewiness. I also tried the Coconut Mango Blue and I love the coconut milk jelly that comes with it. When you order at the register, there's a little bit of a wait for your drink as there are obviously other orders ahead of you and it is a pretty popular place. I definitely recommend ordering ahead if you can! There is seating inside but it also gets pretty busy at times especially because it is near a college campus. read more

A nice clean and modern Tea Shop, that features a timeless stone and wood interior has some great tea offerings with some great takes on their drinks. We had no wait around 1:30pm on a Friday. We walked, in, ordered, waited about 10 minutes (we did have to slushy drinks) and we were out. I got the Grapefruit Boom, and loved every bit of it. The Original sweetness was just enough, when I usually for for 75%. Would love to come back in and try their actual tea drinks. Maybe even their matcha. Pricing is on par with all the new Boba spots....so if you're looking for a cheap thai tea, this probably isn't for you. You want to try something a little different with a little more quality in your product, shout Hey Tea! read more

Soooo this place has been known for the long wait and let me tell you its true lol. However the drinks are good, but I wish they do a bit better with the way the annouce the drinks are ready because it take too long for the drink to be make then it come to someone completely different that not sure whom drinks belong to. This replaced HN Tea that was previously here. The boba spot has a very modern vibe to it. Limited indoor seating, with additional outdoor seating. It's located right by Jamba Juice, with plenty of parking. I ordered the Matcha Cloud Coconut Blue. The size was generous for the cost, and sugar level can be adjusted. Service was quick and easy. No complaints here. Would definitely try other drinks to compare. read more
Pros: yummy tea-based drinks, unique seasonal menu, nice vibes with modern interior Cons: very expensive, long waits (both in line and after ordering) and therefore crowded, mistakes with drink orders, small parking lot Cloud Longjing Tea Latte: 5/5. Was part of the seasonal menu when I went in mid-November, and I really liked the tea flavor with the regular sweetness level! I didn't want mochi in my drink, as the other seasonal longjing one did have it, but the lady taking my order confirmed that my drink doesn't come with mochi. However, I only found out after I had nearly finished the drink that there was a glob of white mochi at the bottom of the cup...I couldn't tell right away since I didn't use a straw, and the cup color is dark, so I was kinda bummed that it was added, or that staff aren't on the page on menu knowledge. Magnolia Latte: 4/5. Was part of the seasonal menu in September, and I enjoyed trying something new in general. It did have a strong, floral flavor that seemed almost roasty, which I didn't mind, but I still prefer other floral green teas over this one. Jasmine Latte: 2/5. They made it with less sugar (as evidenced on the label), but I didn't ask for less sweet when ordering, so I'm not sure what happened. The drink was so watered down and bland. I barely tasted any tea - maybe it wasn't steeped enough, or they used too much milk, or both. read more
HEYTEA has a new mochi yingde cheese milk tea! And here's a pro gamer move for you... make sure to ask for the cheese mochi on the side. It's a handmade mochi topping with a really unique rice aroma. In your drink, it makes it like a fun "chewable" boba drink, but if you get it on the side, it's like you're getting a drink AND a bonus dessert ;) The Yingde tea they use is known as the "world's most aromatic black tea" that's made with large whole tea leaves rather than the usual broken leaves, which gives it a floral, almost honey-like taste. After hearing all the hype about Hey Tea, I had to try it myself. Came during the noon hour on a weekday, and there was only a small crowd, compared to the location on Jeffrey and Walnut on the other side of Irvine. This one is located in a corner of Harvard and Main Street near poached. I got the Matcha latte, since that's the drink of the month/year, and it did not disappoint. It was creamy, smooth, and silky. The strong Matcha flavor was welcoming yet not too powerful. Very refreshing indeed. Price is a little bit on the higher end, but that's just the way it is when you compare all the different drink places nearby. If you're into Hey Tea, I recommend this location since it is less crowded. Will return! read more
Glad this HeyTea is closer! Also it's in a shopping area with multiple stores. Ordered the coconut mango sago (4/5), delicious mixture of coconut jelly, mango slush, and sago boba. Also the crisp grape boom (5/5) was delicious. It comes with chunks of grapes inside the drink that gives you a surprise! I recommend getting the App and ordering ahead! read more
I thought this place was all hype, but this Mango Boom thing was amazing. I love tea, but I also like chugging my fruits. This felt like Juice It Up, but with some chewies (like sago is flavorless and great). The actual mango was so good, it was sweet and perfectly ripe. It cost around $7. The line here was nonexistent at 8PM on Friday. I actually live closer to the Walnut/Jeffrey location, so I drove by after grabbing my drink. The line was like 50 deep. Compared to 0 line across town. Insane. read more

I like HeyTea's black milk tea, and wanted to branch out to other drinks. As a matcha lover, I got the cloud matcha latte with default sugar, light ice, and brown sugar boba. Absolutely avoid this though if you are a ceremonial matcha fan. There is only the slightest and most minimal hint of matcha in this drink. I honestly don't even know how to describe the flavor because it just tastes like sweetened milk. You can also tell by the very light and dull green color to assume this is low quality matcha, in contrast to vibrant green in high quality matcha. You can get stronger tasting matcha elsewhere for the same price. Will just stick to their other drinks. read more
new heytea location!! heyyy. I like the location of this plaza, better then the other irvine location. The inside definitely has more space, and plentiful, with a public restroom. more of a modern interior as well. came here for a bogo jasmine tea, so as you can tell it was very busy. since staff is new, it was a bit of a wait to pick up your drink, even after it was ready, but just have patience with a brand-new staff. drink was yummy! Jasmine Tea Latte: def leans towards the floral side. although I prefer more of a tea flavor, it was still delicious. I wish it was a bit creamier as well, with the milk. There are other places that have tastier jasmine lattes; however it is up to your preference of floral or tea. Would def come back to this location, as it seems a bit less crowded in terms of parking. They have a lot of other delicious drinks. read more
This Heytea location just opened in the Ralph's center on Harvard and Main in Irvine. It is a tea chain based in Shenzhen, China. They are known for their fresh teas and high- quality ingredients. We got the BOGO deal on opening weekend. I came on a Sunday and was #37 in line. I arrived about 20 minutes before they opened. There was security there, making the process smooth and organized. We got the MATCHA CLOUD COCONUT BLUE $8, KALE BOOST TEA $8, SUPREME BROWN SUGAR BOBO MILK TEA $8, and CLOUD JASMINE TEA $5.50. The Matcha Cloud Coconut Blue is a pretty matcha drink layered with soft coconut milk squares (tastes like the canned coconut) and mixed with blue spirulina, and a matcha foam. It has a good matcha flavor, although the coconut is pretty strong... very creamy drink- 4 stars. The Kale Boost Tea was light and refreshing. It had a lemon flavor and there were chia seeds added to it- 4 stars. It came in a hard plastic bottle and you can probably keep it in the fridge to drink the next day if you can't finish all your drinks. You can also reuse the bottle. The Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea was very good, although Heytea is known for using REAL MILK so if you are lactose like me, good luck. I still wanted to try it so we ordered it anyway. It was nice and creamy and the boba was soft and chewy- 4.5 stars. The Cloud Jasmine Tea is a fresh jasmine green tea topped with cheese foam. It was simple and slightly creamy. However, there was nothing special about it and it was not sweet enough for me- 3 stars. The first 300 customers each day of grand opening weekend get a free Heytea LA "City of Angels" magnet depicting an angel holding a boba, surrounded by palm trees. Overall, Heytea is a solid tea place. The interior has a modern feels and there are a few tables and some seats outside. The cashier was very welcoming and staff members were hard at work getting the orders out. I will definitely be back. Stay thirsty! read more
Hey Tea is now open in the Westpark area. I loved the Hey Tea in NY and gave this offshoot a try. Quality is not the same on our first try, but I appreciate the location and the menu. I was so happy that a HeyTea opened just across the street from me, so my roomie and I went to check it out during our lunch. We came on grand opening day around 12 pm & the line was wrapped around the building. We thought we'd be there 1 hour max...but we were there for 2 HOURS!!!??? Definitely not worth the wait. After 1.5 hours of waiting, they messed up my order. I asked for a coco mango boom & supreme matcha, but got 2 matchas. Instead of offering to fix it right away or comp my order, they made me reorder & take a new number in line, so I had to wait an extra 30 minutes! What's worse is they gave me the same matcha that had been sitting out from before. So it was all melted & I could barely taste the matcha. My final straw was when we were asked to write a google review to get the free fridge magnet that was advertised as part of their grand opening deals. Since when was this a requirement or mentioned on their socials?? The staff only gave them to us for free when she saw my roomie getting stressed/anxious trying to leave a review on the spot, but that left a bad taste in my mouth. I get that grand opening will inevitably have hiccups, but this could've been handled so much better. They asked for a review and they got one! I've had better experiences at their other locations, so I won't be supporting this location for awhile! read more
First time trying this place and I must say it's pretty good for a boba place that just opened in this location. I'm also up to trying new boba places whenever I get the chance and I heard so much good things about Hey Tea. So yesterday my husband and I decided to give this place a try which I'm glad we did. Let start with the ambiance . I love how clean it felt when you walked it . There's a good amount of spots to seat and they have a big table if you wanna enjoy boba with a group of friends. Clean and open so perfect . I love how simple the lay out is , wasn't overwhelming. The service was great . The gentleman in the front was very helpful when it came to giving recommendations 10/10 service because they were really quick in making our drinks . Now for the boba . I got their wicked drink and cloud mango both were good. My husband got the grapefruit and oat matcha latte he loved both. Not over powering with sweetness and just taste so natural which is amazing . If you are looking for a boba place to try definitely give this place a try ! 10/10 highly recommend ! I came to this location a few months ago and i had a spectacular coconut mango boom but this time it was nowhere near the same quality. The mango flavor was nonexistent and the drink just tasted watery. The grape drink was refreshing, it was full of grape flavor and had a lot of real grape chunks. There was around a 30 minute wait on a weekend afternoon. The coconut jelly is my favorite so I'll probably still come back but hopefully they're more consistent with the quality next time. read more

Went to HeyTea on a Sunday afternoon. There wasn't any lines so I gave it a try. They were out of matcha cloud and said it would take 15 minutes and so we said we'll just take cheese foam instead. But we ended up waiting about 20 minutes for our drinks to come out so we could've just waited for the matcha foam to be made, but the drinks were good with just cheese foam. I always try to get oat milk instead for my matcha but the team member said they couldn't sub the milk for oat milk. The matcha latte itself was pretty good! Matcha flavor was definitely there and it wasn't too sweet. The matcha quality was okay, definitely not ceremonial grade. The interior of the shop has several seats but geared more toward 2 person groups. There is one big table with 6 seats. There are a few tables outside. Most people seem to just pick up and go. Not exactly somewhere id think of first when wanting a matcha latte. 3 stars because of the 20 minute wait and inability to sub milk. I do want to add that the service was good - the cashier was great at helping us order as it was our first time at a Hey Tea. I found the menu to be a little confusing for some reason! read more
During their grand opening weekend Sept 26 to 28, this Hey Tea location (Harvard & Main) offered a BOGO deal. The lines were very long but the employees were hard at work fulfilling customer orders. We tried the following drinks in order of preference: 1. Mango Grapefruit Boom 2. Coconut Matcha Boba 3. Matcha Cloud Coconut Blue 4. Triple Matcha Latte The drinks are good but on the pricier side for the cup size. To me, Hey Tea does not particularly stand out from any other popular drink/boba place. If I were to go back, the only menu item worth the wait (if any) and cost is the Mango Grapefruit Boom. read more
I don't know why this Hey Tea is less crowded than the one on Jeffrey but I'm here for it! The parking is so easy at this location. It super easy to order on the app and pick up with pretty fast pick up times. There are a few places to sit inside too!! My go to drinks are the kale boost tea for something refreshing or the longjing milk tea if you want more milky tea. I got the new king jasmine and I wasnt a huge fan of it, pretty standard and maybe more on the floral side and not the strong side of a jasmine but still not bad. read more
