I'm so happy we didn't read the Yelp reviews before we ate here. We may have missed a wonderful little tapas restaurant! We have been to tapas places all over the world, and this is one of the more memorable ones. The food is really delicious and flavorful if you like saffron, garlic and smoky chorizo. My favorite dish was the clams and my husband loved the shrimp. We also had olives and Iberico ham, chicken skewers (moist and delicious), mushrooms (so delicious!) and chorizo plate. While almost all nicer restaurants on Main St are predictably overpriced, this vibey Spanish tapas spot is reasonably priced (under $100 with wine and tip for a nice dinner date) with delicious food and solid service. After our previous night out in downtown Park City, we learned our lesson - make reservations! So we checked OpenTable and found Bodega on Main as one of the few places with openings before 9 pm. (It was a Thursday). At the appointed hour we walked down to the intersection and came up empty. The same street corner was marked on Yelp and on Google, but there was nothing by that name at the intersection of Heber and Main; nor was it even in view from a distance. I finally walked into a restaurant there and asked; they had never heard of Bodega. Uh oh. So we wandered a while and eventually found it through sheer luck - half a block away, on a side alley behind the Marriott on Main St. Jeez. (Note: I have since updated the location to the exact building, but I see Yelp has moved it back over to Main St. Oh well - at least it's closer than it was before) As a result of our unplanned search, we arrived about 10 minutes late for our rez, but received a nice greeting and were seated immediately. The place was about 90% of capacity but soon filled to 100% after our arrival. Excellent drink menu here. I saw the pisco sour and immediately knew it was for me. (It's hard to find this drink anywhere!). My friend S. ordered the Bodega and it was super tasty, slightly sweet and sour, with a slight pepper kick. Third friend Z. ordered a Mule Kick, which was basically a Moscow Mule. We all enjoyed our cocktails and ordered food in stages. Here's what we tried: -- Beet salad - more of a green salad with a few beets on the side. (We were fully expecting, and craving, a plate of sliced beets). It tasted fine but was a little disappointing, considering. -- Spanish Tortilla - sort of like a potato quiche. I like these (and fondly remember them from a Spain trip a few years ago) but my friends weren't as excited about it. They said it reminded them of a breakfast food. I couldn't really argue with that. -- Albondigas - beef and pork meatballs in tomato saffron sauce. Tasted just like standard Italian-style meatballs to me. Didn't wow me. -- Lamb Lollipops - lamb cutlets in chimichurri sauce. Delicious but very tiny. -- Brussel sprouts in smokey bacon - Delicious as expected, though hard to screw these up. Though the food wasn't fantastic, I'd still round up to 4 stars. Sadly, however, the service was WEAK during most of our visit. We had to ask for water refills several times. Our waitress also went missing for long stretches; especially near the end, when we really wanted the check. (We could see the place was busy, but we rarely saw her anywhere, even at other tables. Where the hell did she go for 10 minutes at a time?) All things considered, an average experience; so an average rating. Note: Based on the "seller's market" enjoyed by restaurants in downtown, I think they'll be OK regardless. read more

Came here for dinner during Sundance. Every year we go to the same places but decided to try something different. Very pleased with the food, drinks and atmosphere. The pisco sour and white sangria were delightful. The chimichuri salsa is out of this world. My other favorites were the jamon croquettes, the ribs and the brie bites. Our first night in park city didn't know where to go and everything was closing soon. Stumbled into here and had a wonderful experience. Manager and staff greeted us with smiles and were so welcoming! They got our bottle of wine and starters immediately and 1-3rd courses after that all delicious. I went to this place during Sundance with a big group. Such a fun spot with friends. The sangria was delicious to start. We then basically got everything from the menu. Everything was spectacular. Not impressed. The food was just okay- I love tapas, ordered many dishes that were standard, and there just wasn't much flavor. The service was average, at best, and the ambience was nothing special. Truthfully, the inside seating was uncomfortably warm on what was otherwise a cool summer evening, and our service was still extremely slow. Our reservation was for an outdoor table, but weren't able to sit outside. I get it, and wasn't bothered until they literally carried an inside table outside to accommodate another party that arrived after we were seated. Eff that. Wow, we just got back from this new place tonight (12/26/15), and I was about to give them a nice Yelp review, but then read the prior posting tonight and was appalled at the single star rating. First off, read some of my other reviews. I eat at many high end places and quite frankly can be quite critical. When I pay $20-40 a plate, I expect it to approach outstanding. Now, we start with a reservation for 4 for 7:00, and was greeted by a nice hostess who informed us that some prior diners were hours late for their reservation so our table would be severely delayed. This didn't start well, but with some New York charm we were seated within 5-10 minutes miraculously. Anyway, we were seated in this smaller Resturant and the experience took a nice positive turn. Well, ok, the staff is three weeks into this endeavor, it's Saturday December 26'th, so I'm cutting them a lot of slack. Service did start a little slow, but a couple minutes to be brought bread and menus isn't really a big deal. Yes we brought our own wine, and the corkage took another few minutes, but the staff were pleasant. So, if you've read this far, let me lead to the reason for the 4 stars. The food was outstanding. The octopus salad was delicious. The octopus was perfectly prepared, tender, moist, and succulently seasoned to perfection and served over a bed of fresh spring greens with complimentary vinaigrette. The fried calamari was also perfectly prepared, nice and tender, not greasy, and perhaps lacked a bit of sauce that I'd have preferred, but did come drizzled with perhaps an aiole and a spicy aiole. It was wonderful. The beet salad was scrumptious as well. The meat platter consisted of some of the best chicken skewers I've ever had, again very moist and tender, well, seasoned etc... And I do not order chicken out in a resturant as a rule, but it came on the platter. The pork ribs were done nicely in a vinegary sauce, there were two home made sausages, and a perfectly seasoned and cooked a wonderful medium-rare hangar steak. Look, the service was good. Not perfect, but they were all wonderfully friendly. Perhaps they needed a little more maturity, but again, it's three weeks old, and it's Saturday after Christmas so come on... I'm pressing to make this a 4 star experience based on my high expectations, but after reading the slam review just before me tonight, I boosted the rating because the food quality was really quite good, and the service was very friendly. I hope this place polishes itself quickly, but it's one of the better food experiences in PC (the city with a LOT of overpriced bad "Cisco" food) Oh, one constructive criticism - it scold every topi me someone opens the door to the outside. If you can't get some double doors or an "air blade" kind of heater, at least put up a thick curtain or anything to keep the cold blasts out.... read more

What an awesome surprise! Park City has always had a decent restaurant scene, but I didn't expect to find a good tapas restaurant in town, of all places. It's a bit hard to find, one block off Main on a somewhat quiet courtyard, but it was worth finding! We really enjoyed the pulpo (octopus) and the sauce was outstanding, although it was a bit too much lettuce (almost like a salad!). They have AUTHENTIC jamon iberico de bellotas. Enough said. The pequilo peppers stuffed with crab and lobster sauce were also excellent, a beautiful combination of sweet and salty, and different textures. The two dishes that missed for us were the damon (ham) and queso croquettes (probably our least favorite dish), and the tortilla espanola, which was okay but which lacked that custardy consistency that defines a truly great tortilla. The wine list had some very nice choices too, and we enjoyed a bottle of Numanthia Termes from Toro. Service was very good despite the restaurant being very busy. All in all, we had a great time and will definitely be back! read more

Wasn't very impressed with the octopus salad but it wasn't that bad. Wasn't at all impressed with the meetballs, dry. Was angry at the patatas bravas, undercooked and soggy. Nasty. Carne plate: chicken bad ribs bad chorizo dry steak insanely chewy. Pasilla peppers not impressive but not awful. If you're still reading, not awful was the highlight of the food and drink. Food was great. Service was friendly. The bathroom was super tiny. You had to squeeze over/around the toilet to shut the door. I'm not a big girl by any means and it was cramped for me. We parked in the bottom garage and the sign said validation at restaurants. They claimed to not have validation but that the Marriott would which shares the complex. The hotel would not since they only had parking passes for their guests and informed the restaurants do but may have ran out. ‍ Oh well. No big deal but just a heads up for you. read more

The food is OK, not great, temperature in the restaurant was cold. Service was ok, not great. For drinks, we chose a pitcher of Sangria and it was good. For main course, we ordered Tapas only: - Fried Calamari: Not great, fishy taste - Could not finish - Olives: Good, but VERY VERY VERY small portion (not even Tapas style) and overpriced - Patatas Bravas: Good. Would have been nice if more of the dressing was served on the side - Chorizo sampler: no sampler, just 2 blend sausages in a plate. Was not prepared spanish style, small portion, overpriced. - Imported Iberico Jamon: The best part of the tapas, but again way too small portion and overpriced - Jamon + Manchego Croquettes: Good. They served us 3 hot croquettes. - Brussels Sprouts: Good with a saffron touch. For Dessert we ordered Churros with chocolate dipping and chocolate cookies (not sure about the name). Both were very good. Overall, Sangria is good, food is disappointing, overpriced and small portion (even for tapas style). Fabulous new place in Park City! We've been coming to PC for many years, dining at all the top trendy spots, and this was one of the best meals we've had in town! Not only was it one of the best, but it's also one of the most reasonably priced! Our party of 3 was seated promptly for our 7:00 reservation (it's a small restaurant behind Summit Watch), and had drinks on the table within 5 minutes: a special Manhattan, sangria, and a really nice $8 glass of Rioja. No strangers to tapas, we honed right in on some of our favs and added a few recommended by our excellent waiter. To start, we ordered the selection of Spanish meats and cheeses complemented by grilled bread, house-cured olives and spicy almonds. While you can't choose your meats and cheeses, we fully enjoyed everything on the large platter. Next we had a big bowl of refreshing spinach salad with apple and manchego. All the other dishes arrived nearly simultaneously: 4 good-sized ham and manchego croquettes with a drizzle of aioli, 9-10 jumbo shrimp in garlic sauce, a good-sized bowl of Brussels sprouts w bacon, 4-5 beef and pork meatballs with delicious tomato sauce, and 4 lamb lollipops with chimmichuri sauce. It was a feast! We saved a speck of room for the out-of-this-world deconstructed pavlova with berries and cream, and practically licked the dish! With two additional glasses of Rioja along with coffee, our bill was $150! Most of the tapas were $10-15 though the meat and cheese platter ran $18. They also have two larger dishes including seafood paella for two ($32) or four. We will DEFINITELY be back next year! read more

Truly disappointing. Despite trying hard. Manchego was old and tasteless. Iberico jamon was just 4 tiny slivers at $4 per. Clams were overcooked and sour and just plain inedible.
