Friendly staff, they can get really really busy especially on summer time.. I gave 4 stars because though I frequent here and love the place, there's just something missing on the fare they are serving, also the Mojito I ordered tastes more like lemonade and really weak which they fixed anyway. Today, I was in town with my wife and two sisters and noticed 75 Main refreshed the interior of the restaurant so we thought we would give it a try. hoping they might have refreshed the food or attitude. No such luck. As we were seated at our table, it seems the staff hadn't finished setting the table. The bottle of olive oil that was supposed to be on the table was on the chair. When I pulled the chair out, the bottle crashed to the floor and spilled all over my expensive suede shoes. Of course, it was an accident and no one was hurt, thankfully. That said, the way I was treated after the accident was appalling. The hostess immediately came over to try to help. No apology, just trying figure out what happened and who caused the spill, inferring it might have been our fault. No one was helping our situation or proposing a solution other than that they take my shoes to the kitchen and wash them with soap and water (suede shoes drenched in olive oil) or send them to the dry cleaner across the street (which was closed). I told them I wanted to be reimbursed as the shoes are clearly ruined. I asked to speak to Zach, the owner/manager. As soon as the incident occurred, he saw it and went into the kitchen. It took him a while to come out to our table and he was, to put it nicely, rude and condescending. He told me he was in the kitchen trying to figure out what had happened (while avoiding his customer). This is a guy who owns a restaurant in Southampton yet he mocked me in front of the other customers for wearing such expensive shoes {"Who wear shoes that cost that much!) He then told me he couldn't afford to reimburse me for the damage to my shoes. He said " I don't make that kind of money" as the owner of a restaurant that charges $28 for salads and $21 for an omelette. He went back and hid in the kitchen to avoid the situation while the hostess continued to imply they weren't in error or responsible. I insisted he come back to speak to me. He finally did and suggested I call his insurance company to file a claim, yet didn't have any information as to who I should call. Our voices started to get raised, and the hostess began recording our conversation. He then says that he looked on YouTube and that he could clean my shoes with a vinegar solution and that was the best he could do for me. He had no answer as to how he would help me if the ridiculous vinegar remedy failed. He then moved to the hostess stand and looked past me until we left. Of course, this incident is so disturbing on so many levels. The fact he owns a business in the center of town, where his customers (including me) helped support him during the pandemic yet has such disdain for his customers is disgusting. The fact that he would treat a customer in the disgraceful and public way that he and his staff treated me in my family today is truly deplorable. There was no question that the incident was caused by the error of his staff. Zach embarrassed us publicly during this encounter. He doesn't care for his customers at all. We shouldn't support this business any longer. The consistency in the reviews of their treatment of customers and the bad food is enough. Looking for dinner after arriving from a cross-country trip, we decided on 75 Main because of its menu variety and prices. The place was popular and had people a lot of people, including several families. The outdoor area looked nice but didn't have any open tables. I ordered a chicken caesar salad from the menu. They said they normally grill the lettuce but I didn't want that so they obliged. The restaurant is comfortable with breezes from the open windows. Staff was well trained and on everything. We noticed they all had T-shirts with the owners name on them. Food was really good and the menu offered a lot, including sushi. We saw a Japanese area in the back. We sat by the bar which had a baseball game on it. This restaurant works for a basic meal, nothing out of the ordinary but completely fine. read more

I would have given 3 stars but there was an issue with the bill. The food is very average and very overpriced for what it is. Its not bad, its just not very good. The service was decent until the waiter added a dish to our bill we didn't order and charged us mandatory 20% gratuity for our table. The printed menu says 20% will be added to groups of 6 or more. We were 4 adults and one 7year old child that shared with his mother, so no additional pressure on the wait staff associated with a large party. When I asked the waiter why he applied the charge, he replied "I sat you at a table for 6". Btw I would have given the 20% anyway, it just didn't sit with me well that they tried to sneak in an extra meal and the mandatory 20% gratuity. Fantastic food and a surprisingly good value for the Hamptons. Owner Zach Erdem is everywhere (it helps that his servers all have his name on their shirts like you're always being taken care of by the owner) Super Green Bowl salad was fresh and delicious (you never thought you liked kale until this thing happened) Sushi is not cheap but the best quality I've ever had--sorry Nobu--and well presented. Extremely diverse crowd--hipsters, families, hedge fund barons and lots of locals. (Always a good sign) Stick around when the lights go down and a DJ takes over. You're invited to the party. Wish I would've checked Yelp before coming here and saved myself from having a disappointing experience. My friend and I decided to stop by 75 Main and place a to-go order. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and the stuffed pepper. When I opened my order, I was shocked to see that they somehow forgot to add the linguini to my pasta dish...I waited 30 minutes for a container of cold clams. I went back just so they could give me a side of noodles that were not fully cooked. My friend ordered pasta with pomodoro sauce (comparable to Ragu) and the stuffed pepper (inedible). Hello southhampton! Right in the heart was this cute little lunch spot. I came here with my girlfriend and truly had a wonderful experience. The restaurant was clean, tidy, and service was top of the line. i wouldn't expect anything less in their neighborhood anyway. I came 45 minutes earlier than my reservation and they were able to seat me on a sunday at noon. My girl and i both had a drink ( very large creative drink menu) and i had a salad. The salad was refreshing i loved it. Portion was perfect size. My girl friend had an omelette. Terrible customer service. We booked a 2-person dinner at 8pm for Memorial Day weekend. When we got there, after waiting in a large crowd at the front door for 10 minutes, the host told us the wait would be 45 minutes and put our names down on a list of 10 other parties before us. When I asked if we could put our number down to be texted when it's ready, he scoffed and said "What? Where are you going? No." And laughed. Zac (owner) & Iona (mgr) have been gracious hosts throughout my yrs of patronage as a year round resident. I have selected 75 Main for many social rendez-vous as well as business meetings. Discreet & lively at the same time. It is my opinion, that it is exceptional for a very popular venue in Hamptons, to treat their year- round patrons well enough to give the best tables in high season w/a discounted catering menu, which in my case was for a memorial for my mother who had passed away in a busy summer month which is outstanding for a resort town. I ordered the Traditional Maine Lobster Roll which was the best tasting decision i made at any restaurant i visited for the first time. I am the indecisive diner especially when I visit a restaurant for the first time. It took me a while to decide but I was ultimately happy with my meal. The lobster tasted fresh and the pull-apart bun was perfect in combination. I practically scraped my plate because I didn't allow a single piece of lobster to fall from my bun. My hubby and I decided to take a ride out East on Long Island and saw this restaurant was quite busy as we passed by so we decided to have brunch here. Upon arriving, the hostess Ollie seated us immediately and our waitress Ella came by and offered us water and if we wanted anything else Besides water to drink. My meal was the 3 egg omelette with Spinach which I have to say was the best I've ever had. it came out fluffy, not a brown spot on it so I knew it wasn't fried. When the Manager George stopped by our table to see how everything was, I commented on how fluffy and light my omelette was . I asked if it was poached and he told me he couldn't share the recipe. I respected that answer. my husband had the Cobb salad and the presentation was beautiful. Fresh spinach and arugulas salad combined with sliced hard boiled eggs, chicken grilled, tomatoes and fresh blue cheese on top. Delicious and dressing not over powering. For dessert we shared the cheesecake and it was light and creamy with a chocolate glaze on top. we will be patronizing this restaurant again. next time for dinner. My husband, daughter, and I were visiting South Hampton on Saturday, July 6th. We came upon 75 Main and decided to have lunch. It looked very inviting and lively. We stepped up to the hostess stand, she asked how many, I said 'three' and she picked up the menus. I looked over at a table near the opening in the front of the restaurant and asked, 'Is that table available', and she began to head toward the table. Then, a large man, probably the Maître d', with a loud voice yelled 'RESERVATION?" We all stopped in our tracks and looked at him. I said 'No, we don't have a reservation." He barked at the hostess loudly "We first take a look at the reservations!", and then he turned and stared at me and with a pompous attitude said "... before we start POINTING at tables." I was in complete shock at the rudeness. I've been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years and have myself owned two restaurants, and never, ever, could I imagine an employee treating a customer like he treated us. More than the food, the way customers are treated is key to a great experience. This was far from a great experience. We did end up eating there as it was 12:15 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon on July 4th weekend and every other place would be filled. If the hospitality had been there I would have loved the place. I might not have minded that there were only four small pieces of watermelon and three pieces of cheese placed atop a mound of arugula on the watermelon salad. I might not have minded that we ordered two glasses of rose and were only brought one glass. "Are you gonna spend $1,000?" replied the host/owner when we checked if they had a table for 7 people. We had an extremely unpleasant encounter with the staff at 75 Main. We walked in and checked with a hostess for a table of 7. She proceeded to check with the other host who is also the owner, Zach Erdem. He asked us the above egregious question on spending $1,000 for a table and did not bother to make eye contact with me. I was in shock for a hot second and replied with some hesitation "I don't think so." He did not respond back, so I asked "Was that a joke or are you serious?" Again, he did not respond to us but instead exchanged some quick convo with the party that just arrived behind us. My friend and I were just standing there (still in shock) as he continued to look at his iPad and ignore us (and maybe waiting for us to just go away?) The other hostess finally broke the awkward silence and said they were unable to seat us due to our party size and the traffic that day, and "that's why he asked you [about the $1,000 spending]." Obviously that question was not a joke for him. Now we would have been happy to leave as we were just trying our luck on a busy day without a reservation in advance (however, there were still a number of empty tables of 2, 4 and 6 when we arrived, and as we left they were bringing out more tables). Regardless, the owner was utterly rude and disrespectful (with a hint of racism). Did he say that because we didn't look like we belong there or could afford to dine there (plot twist: because we are Asian / not white)? Yesterday my friend sent a negative Yelp review, and he responded with a classic proximity-to-minority defense: "I have a house in chine" (his typo, not mine) and "I usually date Asian girls," like that would immunize him from being a racist. He might be too busy thinking about his other performative activism to realize that he should be educating himself on not being rude and racist as well as not insulting potential customers. We come to the hamptons every summer and this is one restaurant we must stop by every time we come. The food is so fresh, the staff is extremely kind and the service is great. My boyfriend got the pasta with clam on white sauce, this is his second year getting this fish, it's so simply good and rich in flavor, highly recommend! I have mixed feelings on this place. Our waitress was a nightmare, at one point argued with our table over what we actually ordered versed what they brought out. Food was mediocre, drinks took long and required reminders. All that being said the owner Zach in the perfectly tailored jacket took care of our table of 12 (following a long wait time for a reservation). He checked in multiple times and brought us champagne to apologize for the long wait time. He really made the special occasion (bachelorette party) feel special. Following our meal the restaurant suddenly turned into a very crowded night club. It seems like this is the place to eat and be seen eating while in south Hampton. read more
