Saw another review where service was great and food was awful. Interesting, as I've eaten here three times and had the exact opposite experience. Food is great; on food alone it would be four maybe five stars. But all three times the service has been quite horrible. The first time, we were left alone for very long periods of time, had to specifically call someone out to get water refills. Most recent time, server in the bar area was having busboys do everything for her and it wasn't a good experience. If they ask if they can set you back by the bar area I'd say no if I were you. read more

I recently hosted my daughters baptism here and I can honestly say this was the best experience I have ever had. Sallie was very kind and helpful when I was picking out menu selections. When it came to the day of the baptism all the servers were attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. All the servers asked me if everything was going to my liking which I appreciated as well. After the lunch all of my guests stated they loved the food and would be visiting again. If I were to have another formal party I would definitely come back here. It was great! read more

Went there for their lunch specials today and between my wife and I we shared 3 of them. I had the Salmon Con Romo my wife had the Truffle Burger and we shared a pizza as an appetizer, a Fresca Pizza Xtra thin. Everything was outstanding. The burger was so delicious my wife said they should open a Burger Restaurant. Needless to say, my Salmon was great and the Pizza was just how my fussy wife loves her pizza. :) Matt the server was also great. So nice to have a very positive experience eating out. read more

Went here on a Wednesday evening for dinner. We did not have a reservation but we were able to get a table with no wait. The menu covers all the bases. Waitstaff wasn't quite sure of the menu yet. My wife decided on the 2 steak filets with mashed potatoes and green beans, she was very pleased with the steaks. She said they melted in her mouth. My entree however was not that impressive. I ordered the pork loin. It was good sized and not over cooked being moist inside but lacked flavor. The polenta had quite a butter flavor and the spinach had too much garlic for my taste. Perhaps I should have stuck with a pasta dish instead. Food was served HOT on cast iron plates. The prices might be alittle on the high side. Service was good. We may try this place again after a few months but then again maybe not. read more

Only have been here a few times and out of those I can say the employees and very professional bar are lovely and well mannered enough to provide a great atmosphere. BUT to accompany them is a woman, who I take from watching her interaction with the staff, appears to be an owner and most of the times I've observed her, if not, EVERY TIME - she is talking extremely loudly on the phone in Italian and when she's not doing that she's screaming at and intimidating her staff. I tried to give her benefit of the doubt but I HATE seeing ownership behave and treat their staff like that. My dining experiences there aside from her are enchanting, but she can set a very nasty/tense vibe from watching her interact with staff the way she does it's a shame. read more

Italian food is one of my very favorites but not the usual spaghetti or mostaccioli. I like unique dishes in main courses and though there are some standards, 750 CR takes it to their own level. Their menu is a variety of dishes that are extremely well prepared and very flavorful. i have had the eggplant parmagiana and paccheri toscano which is ground sausage with the largest noodles I have ever had. They were literally at least 2" wide and 3-4" long and thick. They are folded in half and served with mushrooms, a truffle cream sauce, and topped with cheese - delicioso. Good service and the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back soon. read more

I have been here a few times and been delighted each time. The lobster raviolis have a rich sauce, and the tomatoes bring a brightness to the dish, complementing the sauce. I have enjoyed every dish I have tried. The owner is a warm and inviting woman who clearly cares about her customers. So glad this restaurant is so close. read more

This hidden gem in downtown Cary is exceptional. Tip: ask to sit in a booth in the back bar area. It's warm and cozy, the music is great and the service is outstanding. Reading some of these other reviews, I went into this place with low expectations. Boy, was I surprised. The service was great, they were very attentive with water refills and other beverages. The bruschetta was really good. The bread wasn't as crunchy as most places, which honestly I liked better. I had the pesto pizza (can't remember the exact name) and my husband had the pizza rustica. He said he was impressed because the sauce had a bit of a spicy kick. The pesto pizza was good too. Others at our table got pasta dishes which everyone was pleased with. They even created a dish at my mother-in-laws request. We will definitely be back! read more

We stopped in the first week they opened and the food wasn't very good. However, we have come back a few times in the past few months and the food we have tried has been very good. Tonight we had the sausage and peppers appetizer and the short rib pasta fo dinner. Both were delicious and perfectly cooked. We're so glad that they have fine-tuned the menu. Loved this place. We had a table of 6 so we got to try quite a few things. Had the Lamb meat balls, Stuffed mushrooms and Arancine for appetizers. All excvellent and loved the Arancini (fried rice balls.) For entrees we had a variety of things: the toscana pizza with truffle cream sauce ( awesome) and the Calabrian Pizza - nice and spicy and loaded with meat. I had the Fettucini fruitti di mare, with assorted seafood - also very tasty. The only Complaint was from my wife, she ordered the Penne Rosmarino and said the portion was "too Big" ?! WHAAAT! These is no such thing and I happily took care of the contents of her doggy bag later on at home. I will say - you can tell the place is new, and they are working out their systems. But eveyone was working their tail off when I was there and I am sure over time they will work out the little kinks. we certainly didnt care. the food and service was great and we will be back. read more

Although hesitant to try this new place because everything is a la carte, gave it a shot anyways. Very disappointing. The ambiance and decor is very nice except for a tv monitor on the wall with a fake fireplace scene (a bit tacky). Staff was very friendly and attentive. The salad was excellent. We tried the shrimp and grits for an appetizer. Grits EXTREMELY bland and tasteless, shrimp excellent. I ordered the lasagna which is always my "go to" item to test an Italian dish. It was beyond AWFUL. Lasagna noodles overcooked and mushy, pasta sauce terrible flavor...it tasted like pureed baby food. My father had a pasta dish with meatballs and hated it. I tried his dish. and again the marinara sauce was awful. My sister had the eggplant parmigiana and said it was bland with edges burnt and tasteless. Two other members of our party said their dishes were good: Penne Rosmarino and Pesce Bianco (white fish). The restaurant is priced ridiculously high for a family community type restaurant. Definitely not priced to bring your whole family for dinner. Dinner salad, although good sized, $3.90. Paying $17 for a lousy lasagna and $3.90 for a salad is ridiculous. Although, the two members in our party enjoyed their selection, we all agreed DEFINITELY NOT a go back to restaurant. Not sure who makes their meals or if they ever taste tested what they make, but the food definitely has no flavor and very mushy textures. If the best part of your meal was the dinner salad, there is a problem! read more

Finally a real Italian Restaurant in Cary! Great food, everything on the menu says Italian! Great service and the owners are in the restaurant most of the time and are very friendly. Start off with Italian Bread and olive oil with olives and your on way to a wonderful meal. The Lasagna is the best I've ever had cooked and served in a cast iron. read more

My husband and I have been here 3 times, and have enjoyed our meal each time we've gone bc most of the pastas and dinners are cooked/baked in a cast-iron type dish, and the meal comes out super hot and stays warm the whole time. They also have more traditional pastas that don't use the cast-iron, but all the pastas and pizzas we have had have been really flavorful. We prefer to sit in the dining room rather than the bar, just b/c when it got busy in the bar, we had people spilling over into our booth. Service was friendly and helpful. Def a new place we will patronize. read more

We've heard from several friends that they have enjoyed the restaurant. Not sure why we hadn't been as it's so close to home. Went in tonight for our anniversary dinner. Loved the barn wood and overall vibe. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed the evening and our first experience there. The PEI mussels were very tasty. We've had them in the Maritimes and they didn't disappoint tonight. Generous entrees, bread and salads. The wine suggestions by our waiter, Chuck, worked out well. Our entire family enjoys this restaurant. We've celebrated holidays here and gone many other times weekends or weekdays. Reservations are recommended on weekends and holidays. Excellent bread. We came on a Friday evening around 6pm. No wait and we ordered right away. Food was not very good. One person had a Zucchini vegetarian dish that was awful; looking and tasting. I ordered a Beet salad. Beets were crunchy and the salad was tasteless. Appetizer was good. I would not return here. Pretty expensive for what it is. read more

For years, the Cary-Grove area has lacked a quality Italian place! Fortunately, that wait is finally over! I have eaten here several times and each time I find myself liking this place more and more. The quantities and prices are excellent and I always have leftovers. I would recommend the Chicken Parmesan or one of the oven baked pastas. The restaurant is nicely located in downtown Cary and is well decorated after spending six months renovating the old Galati's. Went to this newly opened restaurant expecting great things, but was gravely disappointed. The wait staff eagerly hyped up the 750 degree oven and every thing on the menu that came out of it. I ordered a pasta oven dish that I anticipated to be awesome. It looked very yummy,couldn't wait to taste it. But was disappointed. Was tasteless, needed salt, italian seasoning and then some.If I was making it I would have added a few sundried tomatoes and basil, which this had none. I took home the left overs and added just that and it was much better. If this is momma's cooking then momma needs to go back Italy. Not sure we will go back for a 2nd chance but if we do it will be to try the pizza. read more

The food was okay but the service was atrocious. First the server took my phone to a back area when I presented a Groupon on my phone. Usually servers just jot down the information they need. She returned with our bill without my phone. I asked about my phone and she went to get it. We sat with our credit card and bill for 15 minutes so we brought both up to the front. Another 15 minutes later they came back and we were informed that they had used our credit card for another table's tab. They ran our credit card for our tab and told us the other table's charge would not go through. We went home and checked and charges for both tables were on our credit card. After numerous phone calls we received a credit for our table's bill, but the other table's bill that was more than twice ours is still on our card. What a stressful dining experience that continues to be a source of stress. We did contact our credit card. yikes! read more
